Performs and oversees all custodians in the building and their daily cleaning duties for the purpose of maintaining an attractive, sanitary, and safe facility. These areas include but are not limited to offices, classrooms, corridors, lobbies, libraries, cafeterias, gymnasiums, auditoriums and restrooms. Provides adequate arrangements and set ups for meetings and activities while minimizing property damage, equipment supply loss, and/or liability exposures. Project work including but not limited to floor maintenance, carpet cleaning and window cleaning are required. Regularly communicates with Administration and the Custodial Manager regarding issues of operational need. Actively participates in complying with established ARAMARK and McKinney I.S.D. policies and procedures. Travel to and from business related functions may be required (typically less than 10% and/or for training purposes) during the positions shift. Overtime may be required as part of this jobs responsibilities.

Ability to shampoo carpets and strip and refinish hard-surface floors. Ability utilize or learn all associated equipment in performing duties.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES
Follows all established safety procedures and policies
Opens/Closes building(s) in the morning/evening.
Meets daily with Administration concerning daily needs and conditions of the building.
Reports vandalism to the Principal immediately.
Checks entrances and grounds for proper policing
Notifies immediate supervisor of all lost/found items and returns to the main campus office
Performs daily routine cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedules using the prescribed methods including: dust horizontal/vertical surfaces, empty and remove waste or recycles trash receptacles, damp wipe all furniture, clean metal and porcelain fixtures in restrooms, dry and wet mop floors in offices, classrooms, lounges, restrooms, vacuuming carpets, spot clean walls, windows and metal surfaces, replenish restroom supplies, assist in cleaning of spills.
Repairs, removes, or secures any unsafe equipment; reports same to Custodial Supervisor.
Checks chemicals for safety, proper labels, and proper usage on all custodial carts and in all closets
Prepares soiled laundry for pick up as scheduled
Keeps all custodial closets clean, organized, and free from any fire hazards
Notifies immediate supervisor of any problems with alarms, community schedule, equipment, or supplies
Maintains confidential employee information

Clean, maintain and secure equipment, tools and supplies as used daily.
Completes projects and other duties as assigned
Ladders, lifts, power washer, various dollies, back pack vacuums, upright vacuums, walk behind vacuums, auto floor scrubbers, extractors, rotos, carts, and wet vacuums.
