This position mostly operates out of our Florence, MA headquarters and allows for some work from home flexibility during COVID-19 for safety. Under the direction of the Operations Department’s Deputy Chief of Staff, the Office Manager: Maintains Operations Department processes, systems, and structures, including routine internal meetings, team calendar, documents, and systems needed for optimal functioning of the Department Performs general office and administrative tasks, such as setting up for meetings, taking staff meeting minutes, fielding phone calls, managing shared office calendars, and handling incoming and outgoing mail Ensures the office common areas and supplies are kept tidy Actively monitors inventory of office supplies, outreach materials, and pantry, restocking as needed Maintains ongoing relationships with landlord and vendors for weekly trash and recycling pickup, cleaning, copier support, and other office upkeep needs Provides administrative support to the Operations team, including but not limited to data entry, pulling reports, formatting spreadsheets, and copyediting Books travel and accommodations for staff travel Provides additional support company wide, as needed, including events planning logistics and support Skills Demonstrated ability to conduct routine and daily activities with utmost professionalism and integrity. This position is a full-time temporary role ending November 30, 2021. What You’ll Be Doing Manage Summit staff and consultant event team; recruit, hire, and train additional team members as needed . Oversee the work of the event team, including assigning tasks, supervising work, and ensuring deliverables and deadlines are met.  Design and implement team operating processes, project management systems, and project timelines. Manage the Summit budget and work within budget constraints. Stay up to date on convening best practices and implement learnings for the summit. Ensure that Summit is aligned with the organization’s diversity, equity, and inclusion objectives and that it is a diverse, equitable, and inclusive event. The Advisor develops and maintains relationships with state campaigns and serves as a liaison with funders to ensure state campaigns are built for success, supported to win, and adhering to benchmarking goals tied to stages of funding.  The ideal candidate has at least one or more cycles of experience managing winning statewide ballot initiative campaigns and/or has worked in a multi-client or multi-state advisory role with various types of campaigns. Alternatively, candidates should have at least one cycle managing (and winning ideally) candidate/electoral, legislative lobbying, or issue advocacy campaigns at the local, state or national level. RepresentUs is hiring a national campaign manager to oversee anti-gerrymandering campaigns in 6-10 states across the country throughout 2021. The 2021 state campaigns will educate the public on the redistricting process, provide opportunities for citizen voices to participate in the debate, and — most importantly — boldly hold legislators accountable to create the fairest maps possible.  This is a full-time, temporary position (likely through the end of 2021), with the possibility of extension after the campaigns wrap up.
