Working closely with staff across Programming, Membership, Development, and Marketing, helps develop, deliver, and assess both in-person and virtual programs for the Ransom Center. Manages event logistics from start to finish, including public programs, donor and member events and receptions, and staff functions. Works with caterers, independent contractors, sponsors, fellow staff, and others to ensure all events comply with university and Ransom Center policies and are in keeping with the Center's mission. Participates in event execution and is onsite for the duration of each event, including rehearsals, sound check, load-in/out, set up, and breakdown .
Develop public programs budget and track use of funds.
Function 2: Program Administration
Solicits bids from vendors, negotiates contracts, and follows appropriate university and Ransom Center business office processes. Processes all necessary event forms, purchase requests, payments, and contracts to ensure prompt payment for services. Communicates and coordinates with vendors on vendor guidelines, arrival, load-in, and load-out procedures for all events.
Works with external organizations to facilitate site rentals. Develops and shares event confirmations that include customized quotes and planned schedules for the unique needs of each event. Works with external organizations in-person, by phone, and over email to ensure each external event is thoughtfully executed. Submits invoices to organizations and maintains attendance reports following each event.
Function 3: Site Administration
Coordinates event plans with Ransom Center facilities manager, guards, custodians, technology, and business office staff. Collaborates with relevant staff across Programming, Development, and Marketing to review space use requests and maintains an ongoing schedule of approved external events.
Provides reliable, high-quality administrative support exhibiting excellent communication, follow-up, and ability to take on independent projects. Assists with booking travel, hotel, or other arrangements for guest speakers or invited guests. Duties include but are not limited to maintaining budgets; communicating effectively with Ransom Center colleagues, outside organizations, speakers, and vendors; generating event reports; coordinating and managing special event volunteers; and representing the Ransom Center in a positive and professional manner.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree.
At least three years of experience in program and event operations, event coordination, or venue management.
Proven ability to interact effectively with multifaceted audiences and provide excellent customer service.
Demonstrated professional and calm demeanor in high pressure situations.
Excellent communication and organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong ability to build and foster positive working relationships with internal and external event partners, vendors, sponsors, and other affiliates.
Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Outstanding time management and organizational skills.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
More than three years of full-time professional experience in program and event management.
University or museum/library setting experience.
Familiarity with University of Texas business practices, processes, procedures, and forms.
Experience mounting and managing highly successful events for cultural sector organizations, including lecture, film, music, performance, and family events.
Experience coordinating various event types including intimate gatherings with VIP guests, conferences and symposia, and large-scale high-profile events of 800+ attendees.
Salary Range

Assists with booking travel, hotel, or other arrangements for guest speakers or invited guests. Required Qualifications

WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE GOOD (Key Responsibilities): You will perform Apheresis procedures autonomously in multiple settings including critical care, emergency room, and freestanding outpatient centers. Perform venipunctures, access central venous catheters, and access vortex and bard ports. Perform all phases of therapeutic apheresis procedures (plasma exchange, red cell exchange, platelet, and white cell reduction, photopheresis, and hematopoietic progenitor cell collection), to ensure safe and appropriate care of the patient and explain, as needed, the procedures for patients and their family and other attending healthcare professionals. The English Language Teacher of Record, The Excel Center (EL ToR) plans and provides appropriate learning experiences for multi-language learning students in accordance with a student’s Individual Learning Plans (ILPs). The EL ToR creates a flexible program and learning environment that provides specialized instruction for students around building English language proficiency when assisted with supplemental aids, accommodations, and other needed supports. The English Language Teacher of Record, The Excel Center (EL ToR) plans and provides appropriate learning experiences for multi-language learning students in accordance with a student’s Individual Learning Plans (ILPs). The EL ToR creates a flexible program and learning environment that provides specialized instruction for students around building English language proficiency when assisted with supplemental aids, accommodations, and other needed supports. The EL ToR role may vary across local contexts, IDOE has defined minimum expected responsibilities for the EL ToR to assist local education agencies as they ensure compliance with federal requirements. The position works with the instructional team in meeting the educational goals and adhering to the Indiana State Standards as well as continuously improving curriculum and instruction.
Example Duties and Activities
Assures the required timely communication with parents with regard to their student’s English Learner (EL) status via the Annual Parent Notification Letter and additional parent communication on EL program-related information such as WIDA ACCESS results, notification of students who are exiting EL services, etc.
Offers EL assistance within the classroom to create opportunities for joint productive activities between ELs and their native-English-speaking peers.
The EL ToR assists in providing training to the Table of Specification and surpasses training on instructional expectations of all teachers of ELs, which includes Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and WIDA Standards implementation.
Facilitates and implements the formal monitoring process for students who have exited EL services for two years after their reclassification.
Provides EL expertise to case conferences for ELs with disabilities, MTSS meetings, referrals for Special Education evaluation, referrals for high-ability programming, and other school-based processes pertaining to EL students.
Provides direct supervision by meeting regularly (minimally weekly) with certified teachers adequately trained in language acquisition to ascertain instructional needs and to plan English language development for the student.
Assesses and evaluates EL progress using the local agencies’ progress monitoring process.
Oversees the development and implementation of the Individual Learning Plan (ILP).
Partners with classroom teachers in creating ILP and ensures the classroom teachers have access to and are implementing the accommodations and modifications within the ILP with fidelity.
Ensures consistent and frequent collaboration with classroom teachers to ensure instruction and assessment are appropriate for the student at their current level of English proficiency.
Administers WIDA placement tests and the annual ACCESS assessments.
Demonstrates a strong understanding of student learning and effective teaching strategies for linguistically diverse and provides professional development for staff on topics such as EL instructional best practices, data analysis, differentiation of assessments, etc.
Identifies and tracks relevant student/school data/staff performance to set improvement and/or achievement goals and to drive future evaluation and feedback.
Develops personal professional/performance goals and action plans to reach goals. Reflects on prior goals and makes adjustments to professional practice and goals.
Works directly with the school director to develop and implement school-wide goals around graduation outcomes, enrollment needs, student achievement, retention, etc.
Sets and maintains a high-performance culture for staff and students.
Participates in student recruitment, enrollment, and outreach efforts.
Required Competencies
Degree and Credential Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in subject specialty and a current Indiana English as a New Language (ENL) Professional Educator license.

Ensure strong college and career success programmatic alignment across Making Waves Academy’s (MWA) College & Career Counseling team and MWF’s college and career success program team
Align with the Chief Program Officer on annual goals and priorities; and lead the team’s annual goal setting, reflection, and continuous learning
Develop structures that support regular data reflection on student progress and differentiated student supports across coaching services, financial services, and early career/alumni
Monitor programmatic performance, assess strengths and growth areas, spot patterns, and define opportunities for action that put the team on track to achieve our student impact goals

About MWF
Making Waves Foundation is an education nonprofit that supports historically underserved and underrepresented students to pursue college and career pathways that set them up for a thriving career, financial independence, and a choice-filled life.
We support Making Waves Academy (MWA), a 5-12 grade public charter school in Richmond, CA. After high school graduation, each of our students (we call them “Wave-Makers”) are invited to join our college success and early career program, where they can receive a need-based scholarship, one-to-one college coaching, and financial literacy training. Each year, we support over 1,200 students grades 5-12 and over 500 college students on their journeys to and through college. In 2020, Making Waves Foundation launched a new strategic plan to serve more students and families. Lead the design and implementation of a student-centered college and career program strategy. Drive continuous improvement practices to increase student success. (40%)
Create a multi-year strategy for (1) increasing college persistence and graduation; (2) ensuring students graduate with minimal debt; and (3) increasing job attainment in line with students’ education level
Lead MWF’s college and career success program grounded in our new Wave-Maker Success Framework and aligned measurement framework to guide and strengthen our approach to differentiated college and career coaching and scholarship support
Ensure strong college and career success programmatic alignment across Making Waves Academy’s (MWA) College & Career Counseling team and MWF’s college and career success program team
Align with the Chief Program Officer on annual goals and priorities; and lead the team’s annual goal setting, reflection, and continuous learning
Develop structures that support regular data reflection on student progress and differentiated student supports across coaching services, financial services, and early career/alumni
Monitor programmatic performance, assess strengths and growth areas, spot patterns, and define opportunities for action that put the team on track to achieve our student impact goals
Articulate priorities for program-specific staff professional development and coach managers to develop an aligned scope and sequence to deliver “just in time” learning experiences for staff to grow their practice
Partner with the data strategy & operations team to facilitate staff learning experiences to build mindsets, knowledge, comfort, and skill to analyze and reflect on holistic data to inform differentiated student supports
Collaborate with the Chief Program Officer to develop and implement structures that support regular engagement with students to inform program design e.g. launching a new Student Advisory Board
Lead, manage, and develop a high-performing and inclusive team. (30%)
Manage managers of the college and career success program team, which currently includes three components: coaching services, financial services, and early career/alumni
Set vision for and implement systems, processes, and rituals to cultivate a high performing, inclusive team (e.g., consistent 1:1 check-ins, team meetings, clear communication and engagement with direct reports and their direct reports, etc.)
Set clear expectations for direct reports and empower them to lead their teams with a commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Establish a culture of consistent, bi-directional feedback; execute and own annual review and performance development conversations with direct reports
Support direct reports in identifying professional learning focus areas and leveraging organizational resources to advance their growth (e.g. professional development stipend, stretch projects, etc.)
Interview and onboard new team members
Align college and career success program policies, processes, and data systems to support program outcomes. (20%)
Update college and career success program policies for staff and students annually and where needed, propose new policies to address pain points and minimize student barriers
Align the college and career success program budget with annual priorities, monitor budget spend, and collaborate with the Chief Program Officer to ensure the financial sustainability of programming
Align with the data strategy & operations team on an annual data collection, reporting, and learning/reflections calendar to inform continuous improvement and innovation
Partner with the data strategy & operations and IT team to align on Salesforce development and reporting needs
Work in partnership with the data strategy & operations team to set clear systems and expectations for the team and ensure that data collection is smooth, and team has insight and clear expectations about how to use it for program improvement
Develop the necessary systems, processes, and tools to better support internal team communication and sharing of resources
Lead and support cross-functional projects to maximize collective impact across the program team and organization. (10%)
Serve as a member of the Program Leadership Team, actively engage in regular team meetings and support colleagues with projects
Collaborate on strategic decisions and program team issues and initiatives
Draft Board and donor presentations and reports
Work in partnership with members of the Marketing & Storytelling, Development, Finance, IT, and MWA teams on cross-functional projects and outcomes
Participate in organization-wide systems, processes, and rituals (e.g., annual and quarterly goal setting, employee engagement surveys, All Hands); commit to providing feedback to improve our work in the future
Contribute to the development of a growing, fast-paced organization, including participation in events and programming
Prioritize professional growth by researching, scheduling, and participating in professional development opportunities in service of your professional growth and impact on the organization

Required Qualifications:
An undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university, advanced degree preferred
8+ years of programmatic leadership in the K-12 or college access/success space partnering with first generation college students and/or historically underrepresented youth
Track record of achieving exceptional outcomes with students, particularly those furthest from opportunity
Deep understanding of education (e.g., K-12, college access, college success), student support, and how to use data to make decisions

About MWF
Making Waves Foundation is an education nonprofit that supports historically underserved and underrepresented students to pursue college and career pathways that set them up for a thriving career, financial independence, and a choice-filled life.
We support Making Waves Academy (MWA), a 5-12 grade public charter school in Richmond, CA. After high school graduation, each of our students (we call them “Wave-Makers”) are invited to join our college success and early career program, where they can receive a need-based scholarship, one-to-one college coaching, and financial literacy training. Areas of Responsibility
Program Implementation and Infrastructure
Build strong relationships with Heart & Hand middle school students and families
Design and implement enriching and creative after school and summer programming in the areas of 1) academic enrichment, 2) health and wellness, 3) social emotional skill building, and 4) creative expression
Maintain updated schedule of after-school and summer programming and communicate that with all staff

Organize and maintain orderly program space, supplies, and equipment
Family support and engagement:
Maintain regular contact with families in person, via email, over the phone
Act as an advocate for students and/or family member(s) with school(s) or other agencies, making referrals for assessed needs when necessary
Build and maintain relationships with community partners, especially school faculty and staff, including coordinating with partners such as Food Bank of the Rockies, Denver Food Rescue and workshop providers
Build and maintain a supportive, sustainable on-site culture with students, staff and school stakeholders
Perform other appropriate tasks as assigned
Personnel
Provide supervision for all staff members on site
Support the task supervision of all interns and volunteers on site
Active involvement in the hiring and onboarding coordination of new site staff
Identify appropriate Professional Development trainings for staff
Nurture the development of staff, interns, and volunteers
Administration
Work closely with Program Director through regular communication and collaboration
Collect all attendance and program activity data collection for program evaluation, grant reporting, and fundraising
Work with COO to ensure all Neighborhood Youth Organization Licensing materials are posted and protocols are being followed, as well as ensure staff certification requirements are up to date
Attend weekly staff meetings, Program Manager Meetings, and manage virtual communication in a timely manner
Maintain and organize personal work schedule through use of Google calendar
COVID-19 Notes
Adaptability required during global pandemic. Our regular program model is in person programming, however local and state guidelines may require us to shift to virtual programming due to health and safety concerns.
Personal Protective Equipment will be provided by Heart & Hand. We require that staff wear masks, wash hands, sanitize work spaces, stay 6 feet apart, remind young people to do the same, only offer COVID safe programming, and stay up to date on Heart & Hand’s safety protocols.
Qualifications
At least 3 years of experience working with school aged children in a setting similar to an afterschool program or 2 years of program management experience for school aged youth
Preference for experience running a licensed child care, neighborhood youth organization program, or a 21st Century Community Learning Center program
Must demonstrate a commitment to youth development
Valid driver's license and mode of transportation preferred (job could entail occasional driving/transporting)
Employment is contingent on a criminal background check
Spanish speaking preferred
Work Schedule and Compensation
This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday with flexibility in scheduling the 40 hours to meet the needs of different meetings and responsibilities.
Salary range is $50,000-$53,000. Health and dental benefits are available. Generous time off policy including 2 week office closure at the end of the calendar year, regular staff self-care opportunities, and a friendly work environment.

Build and maintain relationships with community partners, especially school faculty and staff, including coordinating with partners such as Food Bank of the Rockies, Denver Food Rescue and workshop providers
Build and maintain a supportive, sustainable on-site culture with students, staff and school stakeholders
Perform other appropriate tasks as assigned
Personnel
Provide supervision for all staff members on site
Support the task supervision of all interns and volunteers on site
Active involvement in the hiring and onboarding coordination of new site staff
Identify appropriate Professional Development trainings for staff
Nurture the development of staff, interns, and volunteers
Administration
Work closely with Program Director through regular communication and collaboration
Collect all attendance and program activity data collection for program evaluation, grant reporting, and fundraising
Work with COO to ensure all Neighborhood Youth Organization Licensing materials are posted and protocols are being followed, as well as ensure staff certification requirements are up to date
Attend weekly staff meetings, Program Manager Meetings, and manage virtual communication in a timely manner
Maintain and organize personal work schedule through use of Google calendar
COVID-19 Notes
Adaptability required during global pandemic. Our regular program model is in person programming, however local and state guidelines may require us to shift to virtual programming due to health and safety concerns.
Personal Protective Equipment will be provided by Heart & Hand. We require that staff wear masks, wash hands, sanitize work spaces, stay 6 feet apart, remind young people to do the same, only offer COVID safe programming, and stay up to date on Heart & Hand’s safety protocols.
Qualifications
At least 3 years of experience working with school aged children in a setting similar to an afterschool program or 2 years of program management experience for school aged youth
Preference for experience running a licensed child care, neighborhood youth organization program, or a 21st Century Community Learning Center program
Must demonstrate a commitment to youth development
Valid driver's license and mode of transportation preferred (job could entail occasional driving/transporting)
Employment is contingent on a criminal background check
Spanish speaking preferred
Work Schedule and Compensation
This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday with flexibility in scheduling the 40 hours to meet the needs of different meetings and responsibilities.
Salary range is $50,000-$53,000. Health and dental benefits are available. Generous time off policy including 2 week office closure at the end of the calendar year, regular staff self-care opportunities, and a friendly work environment.
