Job Description

PeopleTec is currently seeking a (Part Time) STEM Communications Analyst to support our Huntsville, AL location.

Candidate will be primarily responsible for all STEM communications, as  well as data collections and reporting, both internally and externally. These duties will include, but are not limited to, web and portal content, newspaper articles, announcements, co-development of graphics (with the graphics department), data collection and entry, drafting reports, and developing briefings. The  (Part Time) STEM Communications Analyst will assist with internal Agency collaboration which numerous units, such as Equal Opportunity (EO) and Diversity Management, Public Affairs, and Chief of Staff. Externally, the team member will support STEM Outreach initiatives with colleges, civic and nonprofit organizations, and technical  professional societies. This position will require occasional travel, as well as evening and weekend work hours.

 

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience developing written or graphic content is required
  • Proficiency in all of the following Microsoft Office software: Outlook Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Access and SharePoint is required.
  • Candidate must be a dependable, self-starter and have exemplary communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Candidate must operate well in a team environment.
  • Candidate must be able to travel and be flexible to work evening hours
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • A U.S. DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work.  Candidates are required to have a Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this clearance level during their employment.

 

Educational Requirements:

A completed Bachelors (or Master's) Degree in English, Technical Writing, Journalism, Communications, or other related field from a college / university with regional accreditation, by an accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, and a minimum of 5 years of experience developing written or graphic content is required.

 

Desired Skills:

5 years of related Communications experience in a capacity supporting K- 12, college, or informal educational environment is desired.
