Job Description

We are currently seeking candidates for Building Maintenance positions for our DHL Supply Chain warehouse located in Bolingbrook, IL 60490.

Shift: 1st shift

Starting Pay: $14.75/hour

A Building Maintenance is responsible for the general maintenance of the building and facilities including water, heating, air conditioning, and electrical maintenance.


Key Accountabilities: 

  • Maintain HVAC system
  • Do minor maintenance as needed for water and electrical repairs
  • Carry out preventative maintenance programs
  • Provide maintenance to material handling equipment to ensure service reliability
  • Perform maintenance or general carpentry on items such as floors, walls, doors, etc
  • Ensure all safety equipment is in proper working order
  • Complete required reports when maintenance tasks are completed
  • Answer security/alarm calls as needed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to comply with all applicable OSHA regulations or MSDS standards
  • Ability to work specified shift
  • Ability to work for the set wage amount
  • Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow directions/instructions
  • Basic knowledge of mechanics, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry
  • Repairing/rebuilding equipment may require lifting up to 100 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, reach, stretch, step, climb and/or sit frequently or through the duration of the shift
  • Required Sit down forklift and Order picking skills.
  • Have appropriate eye, hand and foot coordination to properly use various equipment and/or tools
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at higher elevations
  • Ability to work in outside environment
  • Knowledgeable of the basics in electrical, plumbing and mechanical.
