Job Purpose
The Associate Director recruits, evaluates, and counsels prospective and admitted prospective students. Associate Directors travel extensively (10-15 weeks annually), recruit and counsel prospective and admitted students for undergraduate admission, implement recruitment strategies, and manage assigned recruitment territories. Associate Directors review applicants for undergraduate admissions. Associate Directors have both high level programmatic and supervisory responsibilities (supervision includes Admissions Counselors and/or Assistant Directors). Associate Directors work closely with leadership in the Division of Enrollment Planning to research and develop recruitment strategies to reach enrollment goals.
Minimum Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of admissions experience with supervisory experience required. Priority given to applicants with a Master’s degree. An understanding of admissions procedures and the college selection process and an ability to work with diverse student populations is necessary. Ability to travel for extended periods of time. Strong planning, organizing, technology, and oral and written communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work cooperatively with other staff members and the college community. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must possess excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills. Must have considerable knowledge, skills, and ability in computer operations, data entry, Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to work closely with the other members of the admissions staff and across campus. Highly prefer candidates that adapt well to evolving technology.
Additional Comments Regarding Position
Must be able to travel extensively. Must have a valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one. Evening and weekend work will be required. Ability to lift and carry 40 – 60 lbs. is
necessary. Experience working with CRM software (Salesforce/TargetX, transcript software, etc.) and SunGuard Banner products is preferred but not required.

Hawkeye Community College’s Athletics program is looking for a Head Women’s Volleyball Coach to join their team.
Hawkeye Community College’s Volleyball program began in 2018 and has quickly become a nationally recognized program. The program has produced annual top 20 rankings in the NJCAA DII polls, with a height of #9 in the country. Competing within one of the most difficult conferences in the country, the program has consistently finished in the top of the ICCAC. With great student-athlete and program success, the athletic department is looking for the next head coach to take the program to even greater heights.
Our Head Volleyball Coach is responsible for the overall management and supervision of the volleyball program. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: recruitment, development, and retention of student-athletes; budget management; scheduling; fundraising; academic monitoring; and supervision and evaluation of student-athletes and assistant coaches. Additionally, our Head Volleyball Coach is responsible for cultivating highly competitive programs within the NJCAA, Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC), and Hawkeye Community College policies, procedures, and expectations. Needs of the department vary, the percent of time devoted to each part of the job will be governed by seasonal and immediate needs of the department.
In 2015, Hawkeye Community College launched its first ever intercollegiate sport program and has since accumulated 17 athletic programs to include: sports shooting, men & women’s soccer, men and women’s cross country, men & women’s track and field, men & women’s golf, women's volleyball, esports, competitive dance, women’s softball, men & women’s bowling, and men and women’s wrestling (new in 2024). The Undergraduate Business Program (UBP) is one of the largest academic programs within UNC’s Kenan Flagler Business School with an enrollment of approximately 1,000 business majors and minors. The Undergraduate Business Program Office provides academic and student development services for current and prospective students, as well as faculty and staff. Specific services include: prospective student recruitment and admissions academic services, including academic advising, course scheduling, and graduation new student orientation student life and engagement programs, such as student clubs and organizations, case competitions and other community building opportunities study abroad and other global program experiences and career development programs. The Director for Global Programs is responsible for independently leading and managing the strategic development and day to day operations of the Global Programs arm of the Undergraduate Business Program (UBP). Overall, close to 75% of all UBP students study abroad before they graduate. In addition to having thorough international work experience and an understanding of the nature of international business education, the Director must be knowledgeable about all aspects of the University and the Business School including its mission, policies, and procedures. Director develops programs and activities consistent with the curricular and programmatic goals of the UBP and the strategic priorities of the Kenan Flagler Business School. To that end, the Director thinks strategically to ensure that UBP Global program offerings are robust, varied, and abundant enough to meet the large student demand. Assists in the supervision and instruction of all practices and competitions.
Recruits’ student-athletes for the dance program.
Collaborates with the Offices of Admissions, Financial Aid, and Student Services for recruiting and enrolling prospective student-athletes.
Assists in the administrative operations of the dance program to include scheduling, team travel, etc.
Assists in monitoring and nurturing student-athletes’ academic progress toward graduation at the college and placement at four-year colleges and universities.
Promotes positive public relations for the dance program.
Provides first aid in emergency situations and complete annual blood borne pathogen training and CPR certification.
Performs set-up, tear-downs, and storage of equipment.
Enforces and maintains all safety policies and procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Head Dance Coach or administration.
Unless otherwise approved under Hawkeye’s remote work policy, regular on campus and/or onsite attendance is considered an essential function of the position.
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent.
Two (2) years coaching and/or competing.
CPR/First Aid certification required or ability to obtain within the first 3 months of employment.
Strong commitment to high ethical standards and integrity.
Must possess a current driver’s license valid in the State of Iowa and a driving record insurable by the College’s insurer. Must be able to obtain additional endorsements as needed.
Demonstrated ability to work flexible hours to include evening and weekend hours.
Demonstrated ability to travel.
Demonstrated ability to work with a culturally diverse student population, faculty, staff, and the general public.
Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal communication.

Working Conditions
Anticipated schedule is August through March, Monday through Thursday 6:00am to 7:30am and occasional weekends for competitions.
Requires skills for succeeding in an outdoor and office environment, using technology. Requires good hand- eye coordination including visual acuity to use a keyboard and read technical information; arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp. Work is in a combination of indoor and outdoor environments. Outdoor environments may become susceptible to inclement weather conditions. During the course of the day, interact with students, faculty and staff in person, by telephone and computer.
Employment Status
Regular, part-time position with a choice of retirement programs—IPERS (defined benefit) or TIAA (defined contribution) available upon hire. Job Summary
Hawkeye Community College’s Athletics program is looking for a part-time Assistant Volleyball Coach to join their team.
The Assistant Volleyball Coach assists with the supervision and coaching of practices and competitions for the men’s and women’s bowling program. In 2015, Hawkeye Community College launched its first ever intercollegiate sport program and has since accumulated 15 athletic programs to include: sports shooting, men & women’s soccer, men and women’s cross country, men & women’s track and field, men & women’s golf, women's volleyball, esports, competitive dance, women’s softball (new in 2023) and men & women’s bowling. The Hawkeye RedTail Athletic Programs compete within the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) and the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) as Division II when applicable.

Job Summary
Hawkeye Community College’s Athletics program is looking for a part-time Assistant Soccer Coach to join their team.
The Assistant Soccer Coach assists with the supervision and coaching of practices and competitions for the men’s and women’s bowling program. Hawkeye Community College’s Athletics program is looking for a part-time Assistant Men’s and Women’s Cross Country / Track and Field Coach to join their team.

Job Summary
Hawkeye Community College’s Athletics program is looking for a part-time Assistant Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Coach to join their team.
The Assistant Track & Field Coach assists with the supervision and coaching of practices and competitions with an emphasis on throwing events. The Director of Graduate Health Sciences Admissions is responsible for working with the graduate admission/program staff in all aspects of the marketing, recruitment and admissions process for Elon’s eight campus-based graduate programs with particular emphasis on its two graduate health science programs: Doctor of Physical Therapy and Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Oversee front office operations with a focus on managing the health sciences application processing and review team
· Develop and manage comprehensive marketing plans, including setting social media strategy and communication plans accordingly, for graduate health science programs in conjunction with dean of graduate admissions and program directors/coordinators. Manage strategic flow of communication with prospective students from the point of inquiry through time of enrollment.
· Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with prospective DPT/PA students and program staff via telephone, web and e-mail. Advise and counsel students about program benefits, admission process/requirements, and financial planning/scholarship information at all stages of interest.
· Evaluate applications for admission: transcripts, test scores, recommendations, statements of goals and work experience forms. Identify candidates to interview.
· Co-chair two health sciences admissions committees.
· Organize and host virtual and campus interviews/open houses/interview days with prospective DPT/PA students and their families.
· Administer DPT scholarship program.
· Travel to select graduate/health profession fairs. Manage a personal expense report online via Elon’s procurement card site.
· Provide input on program catalogs, brochures and websites.
· Collaborate closely with the Director of Inclusive Excellence for Graduate and Professional Education to create a meaningful and inclusive experience for our graduate students. Focus on diversity, equity and inclusion as it relates to recruitment and communications.

Education and Experience

The Director of Graduate Health Sciences Admissions is responsible for working with the graduate admission/program staff in all aspects of the marketing, recruitment and admissions process for Elon’s eight campus-based graduate programs with particular emphasis on its two graduate health science programs: Doctor of Physical Therapy and Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Oversee front office operations with a focus on managing the health sciences application processing and review team
· Develop and manage comprehensive marketing plans, including setting social media strategy and communication plans accordingly, for graduate health science programs in conjunction with dean of graduate admissions and program directors/coordinators. Manage strategic flow of communication with prospective students from the point of inquiry through time of enrollment.
· Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with prospective DPT/PA students and program staff via telephone, web and e-mail. Advise and counsel students about program benefits, admission process/requirements, and financial planning/scholarship information at all stages of interest.
· Evaluate applications for admission: transcripts, test scores, recommendations, statements of goals and work experience forms. Identify candidates to interview.
· Co-chair two health sciences admissions committees.
· Organize and host virtual and campus interviews/open houses/interview days with prospective DPT/PA students and their families.
· Administer DPT scholarship program.
· Travel to select graduate/health profession fairs. Manage a personal expense report online via Elon’s procurement card site.
· Provide input on program catalogs, brochures and websites.
· Collaborate closely with the Director of Inclusive Excellence for Graduate and Professional Education to create a meaningful and inclusive experience for our graduate students. Focus on diversity, equity and inclusion as it relates to recruitment and communications.
· Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
Master’s degree required preferably in higher education or related field plus 6-8 years of professional experience preferably in admissions and/or recruitment. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, as well as research, interpret and draw conclusions from a variety of data points.
