The Director, Engagement and Alumni Impact will deliver best-in-class in-person, hybrid, and virtual activations that directly engage a national network of educators to interact with the New Leaders brand, showcasing our reputation for equity and excellence, while leading with a collaborative approach that sets the standard for activations of significance and impact. Specific Responsibilities
Alumni Relations
Create ongoing and regular opportunities for community building and support between and among New Leaders and alumni, including the development of both formal and informal supports, to meet leaders where they are and are most likely to seek connection, resources, and development.
Represent the organization at various community and/or organizational meetings, committees, third-party events and conferences, and task forces to promote new and existing programs, policies, and impact data.
Facilitate ongoing professional learning and coaching sessions – including point-in-time learning, series-based workshops, seminars, leadership coaching, and lectures – designed to help educational leaders actively learn how to best address challenges and implement solutions and learn from leaders in the field.
Design and institute a process to match alumni with local mentors to provide support, networking, and guidance around career trajectories.
To increase brand awareness, create and execute the content strategy and vision for the alumni newsletter to improve overall customer perception and satisfaction with New Leaders.
Institute a cadence of regular communication to alumni to encourage participation in upcoming events, highlight opportunities, provide certifications updates and requirements, share new products and services, and celebrate successes within the Alumni community.
Manage content updates, communications and engagement across the alumni network hub, website pages, and social media pages, developing and/or culling those materials as needed.
To increase brand awareness, elevate stories of impact from the alumni audience, identifying specific alum, schools, and school systems that can serve as exemplars of our programming, and working alongside External Relations teammates to identify appropriate distribution channels for impact stories (external and internal conferences, webinars, blogs, case studies).
Design and launch a referral rewards program and alumni-only programmatic pricing to incentivize active ambassadors and direct consumers across the alumni community.
Support alumni career development and placement activities.
Community and Strategic Engagement
Conceptualize, strategize, develop and test new community activation activities, benefits, and partnerships to deliver against the organization’s impact, scale, and sustainability objectives.
Manage cross-functional projects to implement community engagement initiatives.
Assess the impact of community engagement activities on Relationship Quality scores and referral/buying behavior.
Establish and maintain strategic alliances with key partners identifying potential in-roads and connections in service of the organization’s growth, placement opportunities, impact data, and revenue possibilities.
Team Collaboration
Model and inspire excellence, results-orientation, and what it means to be a team player.
Participate in strategic planning sessions; contributing to product ideation and content development processes; informing market research initiatives; and sharing relevant industry data as required.
Collaborate with colleagues on the External Relations Team to support cohesion in the overall team strategy in service of the organization’s goals around scale, impact, and sustainability.
Create and manage systems and tools that facilitate the exchange of knowledge and information within and across teams.
Data
Use data from the alumni survey and other sources, knowledge of local contexts, and insight into New Leaders expertise and priorities to identify the highest value-add possibilities for local alumni events.
Track competitive data, research industry best practices and emerging opportunities, to identify new engagement strategies and maintain competitive insights.
Use/implement a data system to track alumni’s impact, retention, and location data, tracking information from alumni as needed.
Define and evolve 'best-measurement' community engagement KPIs and leverage data-driven insights based on community, client and industry quantitative analysis, behaviors and trends
Manage the set up and execution as well as adjustments of the Relationship Quality Scoring System in HubSpot.
Events
Manage the development of a resource bank associated with events; for example, library of best practices, list of content currently available for alumni programming, communication models, project plan templates, etc.
Curate innovative, thought-provoking content for events that educates, attracts new partners, and engages target audiences.
Develop and implement strategies to elevate the brand profile of New Leaders’ events with key thought leaders, existing customers, and potential customers.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Serve as an administrative leader of a portfolio of programs and related professional development opportunities as part of HGSE's Professional Education program designed to support teachers, instructional leaders, and early childhood educators in the U.S. and internationally
Collect, analyze, and utilize data to inform PPE decisions about program frequency, updates, and retirements with an eye toward portfolio coherence and reusable assets
Build and maintain a deep understanding of the teacher training and professional development sector and proactively cultivate robust relationships with lead organizations and individuals in the field
Work with HGSE faculty to explore new Professional Education programs that best serve the needs of the field as informed by data and active discourse with sector leaders and key PPE client organizations
Collaborate with faculty on overarching program vision and architecture
Inform, monitor, and participate in marketing and admissions processes for assigned programs toward developing optimal cohorts, identifying growth opportunities, and suggesting mitigation strategies for enrollment challenges in partnership with Admissions and Marketing
Work closely with the PPE Program Delivery Team to collaboratively plan and execute all aspects of program delivery to ensure a high-quality learner experience in every program modality (residential, live online, asynchronous online, blended)
Collaborate with PPE's Learning Design and Evaluation Team to conduct program debriefs identifying strengths and areas for development
Strategic Outreach and Internal/External Relationship Management
Plan and implement strategic outreach to organizations, school systems, government agencies and donors to build robust participant pools for programs in the portfolio
Initiate and steward relationships with internal and external stakeholders and expand our network to advance potential new partnerships, programs, with a special focus on enrollment, and funding opportunities
Research and document evolving market needs, conduct competitor analysis, and identify subject areas where HGSE faculty bring unique value to the field
Negotiate proposals and draft contracts for custom programming where necessary (includes authoring, securing PPE approval, executing, and managing Memoranda of Understanding with partner organizations for custom program delivery and large group enrollments)
Liaise with Professional Education teams to support collective design and successful delivery of programs within the portfolio-on time and on budget
Lead sector engagement and activities (e.g. webinars, conferences, and direct relationship-building) to ensure field-based constituents and past participants have opportunities for ongoing contact with each other and with HGSE
Contribute to organizational practices including strategic planning, market intelligence, pricing and tuition assistance, and the overall business model

Qualifications:

Advise technical specialists, and management on matters pertaining to contracting and business management policies and procedures, and offer new or innovative solutions that produce efficiencies for the organization
Develop solutions to problems when there are uncertainties involving the legislation, authorities and scope of the action resulting from Congressional interest
Provide assistance to contracting officer Representatives (CORs) and managers regarding specific situations or problems and upon receipt of changed procedures imposed by high headquarters involving regulations, laws and good business practices
Help CORs and PMs meet their contract requirement objectives, solve problems, answer questions, correct deficiencies in documentation, and evaluate/interpret supporting work
Work with the functional area experts and project managers to coordinate and identify acquisition requirements
Independently gather requirements, coordinate documents, generate independent government estimates, and determine contracting strategies and objectives to be pursued, taking into account the overall Army and government objectives and considerations such as socioeconomic programs, competition, pricing arrangements, subcontracting, and similar considerations normally requiring the use of innovative and unique acquisitions techniques
Analyze requirements, be able to prepare various statutory determinations such as method of contracting, type of contract, extent of competition, and type of service to name a few
Serve as primary interface point with the contracting office during all phases of the acquisition process
Develop performance criteria and requirements into sound/sufficient Performance Work Statements (PWS) and/or task orders/defendable justifications for contractors to perform
Ensure clear articulation of Government requirements in the development of solicitation documents
Coordinate and work with the functional and technical experts to ensure organizational objectives and information technology architecture requirements are reflected in the contractual documents
Coordinate, provide data and guide the Budget Analyst in matters of estimating costs; cost accounting categories and executed funds predicated on contractor invoices and billing/reporting statements
Establish and administers a cost reporting program for tracking and controlling contractor expenditure rate
Review solicitation documents with ACC, participates in pre-proposal conferences, obtains information from technical officials and clarifies solicitation requirements, prepares source selection criteria
Establish performance criteria and administers cost reporting program for all acquisition actions
Coordinate the analysis and evaluation of all proposals received
Provide authoritative contracting advice, guidance, insight, and direction to all levels of administrative and technical management in matters to include, but not limited to, contract procurement and acquisition policy, procedures, and documentation
Conduct highly complex independent reviews of acquisition requirements for computer and/or engineering product and services packages prepared by CORs and PMs prior to submission to the Army Contracting Command (ACC) Contracts Office
Ensure packages are reviewed for accuracy, completeness, and feasibility to ensure adherence to established technical and acquisition policies and procedures. If deficiencies and/or omissions are identified through the analysis of acquisition requirements, plans are developed with the program action lead(s) to resolve issues and take appropriate action
Must demonstrate attention to detail
Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload in a high-pace and detail oriented environment
Understanding roles and responsibilities of functional areas
Demonstrated experience working individually as well as organizing and facilitating working groups.
Must be able to prepare detailed written reports and briefings suitable for presentation to senior level military and corporate leadership, as well as present material orally
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to use Microsoft Office suite of product.

An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.
Education Requirements :
A completed Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required with 12+ years of experience
Desired Skills :
DoD Acquisition Workforce Certification Level III in Contracting
Comprehensive knowledge of regulations, DoD Acquisition policies and precedents, program goals and objectives, and work processes of the organizations supported, as well as relationships with other programs within Department of the Army
Acquisition Program Management or Contracting Office experience
Ability to manage projects, work effectively with others, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
