Basic Function
Assists with the day-to-day operations of the University of Wyoming’s Sports Medicine Department. Assist all Sports Medicine personnel as needed/required including, but not limited to, providing operational support for the Medical Director/Primary Care Physician.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assists with day-to-day operations including, but not limited to, maintaining an accurate inventory of medical supplies, reporting items that need to be re-ordered, restocking applicable items, assisting with cleaning/sterilizing necessary equipment, etc.
Provides operational support for the Medical Director/Primary Care Physician including, but not limited to, coordinating/scheduling student-athlete appointments, assisting during the examination process (e.g., preparing examination room, taking/recording pertinent patient vital signs, taking/processing dictations, etc.), assisting with medical procedures (e.g., performing EKGs, point of care testing, phlebotomy, etc.), and coordinating appropriate post examination duties (e.g., breakdown/clean-up exam room, process applicable paperwork, etc.).
Supports Insurance Coordinator/Business Manager as needed with specific emphasis on processing applicable medical documentation.
Maintains CPR/AED/First Aid certifications.
Maintains a thorough knowledge of and adheres to all applicable University, conference and NCAA rules and regulations.
Assists with other duties/projects as assigned/directed.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree (conferred by start date) or equivalent combination of education & work experience
CPR/AED/First Aid Certifications (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)
CNA (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire)
Valid driver’s license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) that is compliant with the University Vehicle Use Policy

Ability to work on multiple projects independently, at times under short deadlines.. Attention to detail and ability to take initiative. Position requires basic computer skills and working knowledge and experience in using e-mail. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) is preferred. Experience in utilizing on-line work order systems is a plus. Skill with electronic devices such as iPhone and iPad is preferred. Must be able to follow oral & written instructions. RESPONSIBILITIES:

Hawkeye Community College’s Athletics program is looking for a part-time Assistant Dance Coach to join their team. The program has 25+ student-athletes each year that compete primarily in pom, hip-hop, and jazz. The dance team competes in local competitions, showcases, and the Iowa State Dance Championship. Job Summary
Hawkeye Community College’s Athletics program is looking for a part-time Assistant Soccer Coach to join their team.
The Assistant Soccer Coach assists with the supervision and coaching of practices and competitions for the men’s and women’s bowling program. This position will aid in recruiting student athletes, directing practices, managing practice and travel schedules, as well as, supervising team conduct during competition, travel, tournaments, and other events where the team is represented. Essential Job Functions
Important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Collaborates with the Offices of Admissions, Financial Aid, and Student Services for recruiting and enrolling prospective student-athletes.

Assists in monitoring and nurturing student-athletes’ academic progress toward graduation at the college and placement at four-year colleges and universities.
Promotes positive public relations for the soccer program.
Provides first aid in emergency situations and complete annual blood borne pathogen training and CPR certification.
Performs set-up, tear-downs, and storage of equipment.
Enforces and maintains all safety policies and procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Head Soccer Coach or administration.

Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent.
Two (2) years coaching and/or competing in soccer.

Must possess a current driver’s license valid in the State of Iowa and a driving record insurable by the College’s insurer. Must be able to obtain additional endorsements as needed.

The Assistant Bowling Coach assists with the supervision and coaching of practices and competitions for the men’s and women’s bowling program. Job Summary
Hawkeye Community College’s Athletics program is looking for a part-time Assistant Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Coach to join their team.
The Assistant Track & Field Coach assists with the supervision and coaching of practices and competitions with an emphasis on throwing events. This position will aid in recruiting student athletes, directing practices, managing practice and travel schedules, as well as, supervising team conduct during competition, travel, tournaments, and other events where the team is represented. Furthermore, this position participates in the planning, organizing, and execution of preseason and season practices in addition to fostering a positive team atmosphere and supporting student athletes’ academic progress, retention, and graduation through mentoring activities and guidance to appropriate support services. Due to the nature of the work involved in coaching; many weeks will entail morning, evening, and weekend hours. Needs of the department varies and the percent of time devoted to each part of the job will be governed by seasonal and immediate needs of the department.
In 2015, Hawkeye Community College launched its first ever intercollegiate sport program and has since accumulated 14 athletic programs to include: sports shooting, men & women’s Soccer, men and women’s cross country, men & women’s track and field, men & women’s golf, women's volleyball, esports, competitive dance, and men & women’s bowling. JOB SUMMARY
Hawkeye Community College is seeking a part-time assistant coach to assist its championship caliber Esports program in its fourth year. The program consists of five game offerings including League of Legends, Overwatch, Rocket League, Rainbow Six Siege, and Super Smash Bros; which compete within the NJCAAE and other tournaments throughout the year.
This position provides supervision and coaching for the Esports program and all game offerings it encompasses. Assists in the recruitment of student-athletes, assists in the management of practices, helps coordinate competitions and game day operations, and assists in the supervision of team conduct during competition, travel, tournaments, practices, and other events where the Esports team is represented. Fosters a positive team atmosphere and supports student athletes’ academic progress, retention, and graduation, through mentoring activities and referral to appropriate support services.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Assists the head coach in all facets of practices and competitions.
Helps recruit students and maintains specific roster sizes for the program.
Assists in the coordination of competitions and game day operations.
Collaborates with the Offices of Admissions and Student Services for recruiting and enrolling prospective student-athletes from point of inquiry through registration.
Monitors, assists, and nurtures student-athletes’ academic progress at the college and assists with placement at four-year colleges and universities.
Assists in the marketing and promotion of the program.
Provides first aid in emergency situations and completes required blood borne pathogen training and CPR certification.
Enforces all safety policies and procedures.
Performs set-up, tear-down, and storage of equipment.
Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two years’ experience coaching and/or competing in Esports
Knowledge and experience of Esports games such as League of Legends, Overwatch, Rocket League, Rainbow Six Siege, Super Smash Bros, or similar games.
Ability to work with diverse populations including faculty, staff, students, and community members.
Valid driver’s license that is insurable by the College.
CPR/First Aid certification required or ability to obtain.
PREFERENCES
One-year experience in recruiting student-athletes.
One-year experience working with college age athletes.
One-year experience with applicable rules and regulations of the governing body, i.e. NJCAAE
WORKING CONDITIONS
Requires skills for succeeding in an office and athletic environment, using technology. Requires good hand-eye coordination including visual acuity to use a keyboard and read technical information; arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp.
