Job Purpose
The Applications Administrator is proficient technically and provides operational support to stakeholders (faculty, staff, prospects, students, and alumni) for multiple critical enterprise applications and customer-facing business administrative systems for the College. The Applications Administrator consults with Senior Applications Administrators and Management to perform complex system and/or application installations and upgrades.
Minimum Requirements
A high school diploma and work experience in the administration and management of software applications in an enterprise environment is required. An associate’s degree or a bachelor’s degree in a related field may be substituted for the required work experience. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated ability to be proficient in supporting, maintaining, and administering complex enterprise software applications preferably in higher education or a related setting.
Working knowledge of systems architecture, systems planning and design, network operating systems, and software application management.
Knowledge of, and experience with, Windows and/or Linux/Unix systems administration, light SQL experience, light scripting, and application support.
Ability to understand and carry out technical instructions in order to perform application system installations, upgrades, and integrations.
Must have experience with database technologies and/or client-server technology.
Must possess analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Strong customer service skills.
Familiarity with service management methodologies preferred.
Experience with monitoring tools and analytical tools preferred.
Familiarity with enterprise backup, storage technologies, and open source technologies a plus.
Ability to plan, organize and follow through multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficient written and verbal communications skills.
Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other IT staff, business stakeholders, and vendors.
Additional Comments Regarding Position
Employee must be willing to work flexible hours including occasional nights, weekends and holidays and be on call 24 hours/day, 7 days/ week. Must be able to travel periodically for professional development. *Position may be eligible for full-time or part-time telecommuting

PeopleTec is seeking a Systems Tester to perform Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) hardware and software integration and testing in a government-operated, engineering and integration lab facility. The selected candidate will support integration, checkout and test operations for a variety of engineering studies operating GMD systems in a true Hardware in the Loop (HWIL) architecture. Candidates will be expected to understand one or more tactical elements, growing to become the in-house Subject Matter Experts, developing processes and improvements to test methods, and then cross-training with other systems to grow the team's capability through greater systems understanding. They will work within a configuration-managed test and operational environment. All team members also perform other operational responsibilities such as documentation support, equipment moves and adjustments, lab upkeep and general administrative tasks. PeopleTec is currently seeking a GMD Systems Test Operator to support our Huntsville, AL location.
PeopleTec's Junior Level Test Operator will support the GMD Hardware in the Loop (HWIL) lab. GMD Systems Test Operator to perform Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) hardware and software integration and testing in a government-operated, engineering and integration lab facility. The selected candidate will support integration, checkout and test operations for a variety of engineering studies operating GMD systems in a true Hardware in the Loop (HWIL) architecture. Candidate will be expected to understand one or more tactical elements, growing to become the in-house Subject Matter Expert for their element, developing processes and improvements to test methods, and then cross training with other systems to grow the team's capability through greater systems understanding. They will work within a configuration-managed test and operational environment. All team members also perform other operational responsibilities such as documentation support, equipment moves and adjustments, lab upkeep and general administrative tasks. System Administration experience and certifications are not required but are highly desirable. Selected applicant will work with a team of experienced integrators, operators and systems administrators and will have the opportunity to cross train on a variety of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) systems and digital Models and Simulations used to support specialty-engineering studies for the Missile Defense Agency.
Required Skills/Experience:
Demonstrated experience in HWIL systems under test, following both learned and scripted procedures
Documentation and capture of test results for report generation
Test background with experience in following software test plans, test procedures and generating test reports; experience developing test plans is highly desirable
Assist in the integration and checkout of new systems once they have been installed
Assist test team with system troubleshooting and anomaly investigation
Comply with configuration management process, and comply with data management procedures, including post processing steps, data naming conventions and archival
Experience with UNIX/Linux command line operations
Demonstrated self-starter, teaming skills, strong written and verbal communications

Must be a U.S. Citizen
An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
Desired Skills :
Technical experience with GMD/BMDS Elements and their integration
Integration or operational experience with: GFC, VIDT, LMS, GMDSim or OSF
Systems Administration experience with tactical systems
CompTIA Security+ & Computing Environment Certifications
