WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE GOOD: 1. Develop and execute ongoing Regional strategy for qualifying donors to ensure retention, growth of donor contributions as well as recapture from previous donors. Work collaboratively with other departments and fundraising staff to create customized solicitation strategies matching the objectives of the organization and interests of the donor/prospect. May lead team in planning and implementing fundraising strategies. 2. Manage assigned portfolio of donors and prospects with intent to form deep relationships. Responsible for minimum annual fundraising goal tied to segmented or blended portfolio as specified in performance standards, including both renewable gifts and new incremental revenue. Develop donor management plans for entire portfolio resulting in strategic, knowledgeable and complex asks. Solicit assigned donor portfolio through face to face visits, including preparation of personalized materials. Revenue target may increase due to major domestic disasters. Serve as mentor/informal leader to less experienced team members and operational resource in the areas of retention and strengthening donor relationships. 3. Implement a program/activity to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward donors at the $5,000 level or higher, with an emphasis on maximizing revenue for the American Red Cross. Work with leadership volunteers to identify and cultivate appropriate donors and partner with assigned Gift Planning staff to solicit giving prospects among identified donors. Update donor records in region and/or district database and Salesforce.com following donor contacts. May lead team(s) in planning and executing against prospecting development programs. 4. Develop ongoing relationships, cultivate, solicit and steward support of major donors from individuals, corporations and foundations to meet annual fundraising goals within the region. Support volunteer leaders in peer-to-peer outreach, (if appropriate) using giving societies such as the Tiffany Circle Society as a key program. Assist corporations in achieving their goals in strengthening their brand, marketing, and employee engagement. Articulate Red Cross programs, listen to corporations’ needs and align programs to their interests. Prepare grant proposals, and engage foundation staff and board members to cultivate and solicit support for the American Red Cross. 5. Participate in disaster relief fundraising projects as appropriate. May oversee and have responsibility for staff development. 6. Recruit, develop and work with field staff and volunteers. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED: Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree is highly desirable. Minimum 7 years of fundraising leadership experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required. A current valid driver's license and good driving record is required. Ability to relate well and work effectively with multiple constituencies and audiences. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills. Knowledge of office systems: MS Office preferred and fundraising database systems (e.g. Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce.com). Customer Service Representative (Williamsburg Area Transit Authority)
$15.76 / hour + Part-Time County Benefits . Part Time Positions Available (20 hours per week).
The Williamsburg Area Transit Authority seeks an individual to perform responsible administrative and customer service-related work in support of the Williamsburg Area Transit Authority (WATA) transit operations.
Responsibilities:
Provides strong customer service to the public and internal customers, in-person and over the telephone; provides information, responds to questions, comments, paratransit scheduling requests and complaints regarding WATA Services via phone and in person; and directs customers as required.
Opens and/or closes the WATA Customer Service Center and Store; maintains the cleanliness of the facility including but not limited to emptying trash cans and cleaning the main and break area.
Utilizes and monitors radio and dispatch messages for service.
Responsible for the sale of bus tickets and issues passes in accordance with established procedures; accepts fees and maintains appropriate records.
Reconciles daily fare collection and maintains related paperwork and system files.
Requirements:
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma; some work experience which shall have involved assisting the public, handling money, customer service and/or sales.
Must possess reliable transportation to work site(s).
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service including setting and meeting quality standards for services; knowledge of concepts related to public and independent transit travel; including those with physical and mental issues; knowledge of fixed route public transportation services.
Skill in use of computer software including Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to communicate with the public and coworkers in an effective professional, and courteous manner at all times; explain fares, the transit system and policies in an effective manner; operate a cash register, credit card machines, general office equipment, computers, fare equipment and other systems as required to accomplish the work assigned; handle money and maintain related fiscal records; independently apply and carry out policies and procedures within assigned area of responsibility; make mathematical computations with accuracy; follow verbal and written instructions; make independent decision in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Four-year university/college degree required
Prior successful cold calling or SDR experience in a quota achieving role preferred
Salesforce.com proficiency preferred
Previous sales experience in technology is helpful but it isn’t a requirement.
