Salary and rank based on experience and qualifications: $43,000.

Required Qualifications: Lewis-Clark State College seeks applicants for the position of Instructor (Generalist) for its Teacher Education Program. Applicants must be able to work collaboratively to prepare teachers to meet the challenges of teaching in the 21st century. Successful candidates should have a Master's degree, PhD or EdD in Literacy, Curriculum and Instruction or a related field prior to appointment date. Experience in P-12 education is required. Candidates should also have ability to develop and deliver online courses. In addition, successful candidates should be committed to program assessment and to effective supervision of student teachers.
Preferred Qualifications: Extensive teaching experience at the elementary, middle and high school levels. Experience mentoring student teachers. Training in current classroom management strategies.
Responsibilities: Teach 24 adjusted credit hours per academic year as assigned by Division Chair (teaching assignments may include online instruction); Supervise student teaching internships in the schools; advise Teacher Education majors; be actively involved in relevant professional organizations; participate in Teacher Education Program assessment; serve on division and campus committees; work collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff.
