Job Summary
The Department Information Systems Coordinator (DISC) provides technical assistance and support to the Sheriff’s Office, Jail Services, and other local law enforcement agencies in planning, developing, and operating a regional law enforcement information network. This position will work directly within Clark County Information Technology (IT) and collaborate with Clark County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) management, with key responsibilities of overseeing database and application technologies used in reporting; optimizing systems for information analysis; and coordinating related enforcement activities among multiple agencies. These responsibilities necessitate both a thorough understanding of the department processes and workflow, and comprehensive knowledge of the capabilities of the available computer software and programs as well as various niche technology products specific to law enforcement. Duties typically include, but are not limited to: Assist in the installation, administration, and support of various CCSO, Jail Services, and vendor-based hardware and software systems/applications. • Participate in evaluating, recommending, and selecting application and/or hardware products needed to support the Sheriff’s Office or partner agencies. • Assist users on day-to-day computer related issues such as setting changes, printer issues, burn CDs/DVDs, file recovery, and general application use. • Provide initial or secondary troubleshooting on system/server failure and coordinate with County IT to determine the appropriate fixes. Assists in break fix where applicable or in County IT absence. • Assist in the development, maintenance, and troubleshooting of data transfer process between CCSO systems, County IT, and vendors. • Assist in the design and development of department level relational database (e.g. SQL database) and database objects to support in-house developed applications. (I.E. – Win-Pak) • Assist in coordinating database support functions for law enforcement systems including security administration, performance tuning, and data moves. • Perform system administration for reporting systems (e.g. SQL Reporting Service) including security administration, setup, bug fixes, and deployment. • Convert and migrate data from existing systems to new systems and provide on-going system maintenance for client. • Develop ad-hoc query, data extraction, and other reports to meet the department and external agencies objectives. (I.E. – SSRS reports) • Analyze data and create reports (I.E. – SSRS or other required formats for presentations) as needed for customers. • Monitor and track inventory of law enforcement hardware and software including laptops, projectors, etc. • Assist in the development of short-term and long-term strategic planning for the law enforcement IS support unit. • Research, suggest, design, validate, and deploy new law enforcement and mobile related technology. (I.E. – Apple iOS phones and iPads, Android phones, body cameras) • Assist in Bodycam support related to hardware and supporting applications. • Utilize MobileIron MDM solution to support the management of Apple iOS and Android phones. • Assist outside agencies on items and issues related to law enforcement records management systems. Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Education equivalent to an associate degree in computer science or closely related field (directly related work experience may substitute for the degree requirement) plus three to five years of responsible experience in supporting computer technology users and systems is required. The degree must have been conferred by an institution of higher education and have National Recognition of Accrediting Agencies by the U.S. Secretary of Education, and official transcripts will be required at the time of hire.

Must have a valid SC Driver’s License, or ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment, as the employee will be required to drive state vehicles to transport equipment and/or personnel. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience an/or education and encourage to apply.

Minimum Qualifications
Associate in Applied Arts (AAA) or Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree in Graphic Design.
Five (5) years of full-time experience in print and web design.
Demonstrated foundation in the principles of design, composition, application of color, and typography.
Demonstrated ability designing, building, and preparing various single page, multi-page, and multi-panel print publication formats for commercial printing.
Demonstrated proficiency with image acquisition, color management, color correction, retouching, extracting, layering, compositing, painting, and preparing raster imagery.
Demonstrated ability designing and mocking up websites.
Demonstrated experience in purchasing domain names, setting up web hosting accounts through a web hosting service (WHS) system, and Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
Demonstrated ability to showcase a portfolio of work.
Demonstrated strong organizational skills.
Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills to positively interact with students, faculty, and staff.

Fulfill the CAAHEP program role of educational coordinator. Provide routine to complex reference testing evaluation for the Immunohematology Reference Laboratories (IRL). Lecture and provide leadership guidance for graduate level SBB student trainees. Coordinate lectures and committee planning schedules and develop examination tests. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (Job Overview): Support all aspects of the SBB (Specialist in Blood Banking) program, a graduate level program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). Fulfill the CAAHEP program role of educational coordinator. Provide routine to complex reference testing evaluation for the Immunohematology Reference Laboratories (IRL). Lecture and provide leadership guidance for graduate level SBB student trainees. Coordinate lectures and committee planning schedules and develop examination tests. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers. Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal, State, and local regulations. Coordinate faculty lectures and committee planning meeting schedule. Develop committee’s agenda to review development in immunohematology and blood banking field to ensure program is relevant and compliant with national accreditation standards established by AABB. Implement approved policy changes to lecture outlines, curriculum and impacted systems, procedures, and protocol standards. Manage the program’s student admission, interview, and selection process. Develop reference examination tests to evaluate students’ understanding of transfusion medicine theory. Perform review of serologic investigations ranging in complexity from basic to complex, antigen typing and compatibility testing. Review and approve quality control of equipment and reagents. Consult with laboratory staff to assure quality and adequacy of testing. Identify relevant project assignments for students. Monitor student performance, provide counseling, and develop improvement plan opportunities. Participate in test result entry into laboratory computer system, labeling and verification of blood products. Adhere to procedures, regulations, and good manufacturing practices (GMP) maintaining accurate, legible, and complete records Standard Schedule: Part Time, WFH, Variable Hours open to negotiation Pay Information: $40-50k/annually WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications): Education: Bachelor’s degree in science or related field required and Certified Specialist in Blood Banking certification, physician, or Scientist with expertise in immunohematology and hemotheraphy. State license may be required where applicable. Responsible for maintaining currency in training as required and obtaining 12 hours of continuing education per year. Experience: Minimum 6 years high complexity testing experience that includes evidence of providing technical or clinical education or equivalent combination of education and related experience required. IRL experience and previous immunohematology case review preferred. Skills & Abilities: Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively. Effective communication / interpersonal skills and excellent technical skills required. Must have very good home-based internet connectivity. Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database applications. Evidence of continuing professional education is required. Ability to work on a team. Travel: May involve some travel. This position is responsible for adhering to all administrative activities that support policies and process. The Training Services Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing the logistics and equipment process associated with approved pilots, equipment reviews/testing. The Training Services Logistics Coordinator will also coordinate with Instructor Managers, Logistics Coordinators and other key Training Services leadership to coordinate training activities. Position requires the ability to stand, walk and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of up to 50 pounds. Travel: Ability to travel 10-30%. Must have reliable transportation for regional travel.
