Job Description

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Digital Modeling and Simulation Threat Modeling Engineer to support our Colorado Springs, CO location.

This position provides systems engineering support to the Threat Modeling Center (TMC) software application Contracting Officer's Technical Representative and to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Operations Support team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Coordinate with the M&S Enterprise Engineering team Identify software application requirements that apply to the air breathing and ballistic missile threat domain. Communicate requirements back to the TMC software application team that will modify existing software applications or create new ones. Participate in the development of a system-of-systems architecture model Ensure M&S requirements drive an integrated BMD System-level M&S capability.


Required Skills/Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer and in the threat domain
  • Experience in the BMDS domain
  • Experience with threat modeling software applications
  • Experience in the M&S constructive and virtual M&S domain
  • Creative thinking, problem solving, analytical thinking, and out-of-the-box thinking
  • Ability to work with a diverse team of engineers (geographically diverse) of different perspectives
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to non-technical people
  • Energetic, motivated, self-starting Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Travel: 10%
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.


Education Requirements:

  • Understanding of kinematics, radar cross section and infrared data and software that supports the production of this data
  • Understanding of plume stitching software Understanding of C/C++, CSS, Fortran, HTML, Java, Visual Basic, XML programming
  • Understanding of JIRA, MATLAB, Office, Project Knowledge of the Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) philosophy
  • Knowledge of the Agile philosophy for software development

Desired Skills:

A completed Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, Math or related technical discipline with 7+ years of experience, or a completed Master's Degree in Engineering, Science, Math or related technical discipline with 10+ years of experience.
