As Clinical Supervisor- Foster Care & Adoption, your role goes beyond supervising and teaching. It involves empowering, motivating and providing strong customer service for both the staff you will be supervising and the children and families you will encounter. As a clinical supervisor you will be asked to combine your knowledge and creativity to develop improvements and new concepts in staff development and service delivery. You will be responsible for cultivating an environment where strong team work, accountability, passion, recognition of accomplishments, growth and providing excellent customer service are encouraged and expected. This position directly supervises staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Arrow Child & Family Ministries policies, State and Federal laws and policy and procedures. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance including coaching and future performance development; managers training needs through learning management system; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Maintain quality improvement goals and address at regularly scheduled staff meetings.
Education, Licensure and/or Experience
License and Master's Degree in a social services related field plus 2 years' experience in child placing OR Master's Degree in a social services and 3 years' experience in child placing OR License and a Bachelor's Degree in a social services related field plus 4 years' experience in child placing ORBachelor's Degree in a social services field plus 5 years' experience in child placing. Must qualify for CPMS.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the ministry.
Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with occasional variables.
Valid driver's license, appropriate insurance and reliable car.
Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug test.
Must submit to pass random drug tests during employment.
Must successfully pass all background screens as required by the state.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
