This role will work closely with both the council, the SOCAC Executive Director, and other council staff to support the council, subcommittees, and workgroup by supporting workflow improvements, coordinating efficient flow of documents and requests requiring action from collaborators and council members, tracking due dates and assisting with timely responses to requests, ensuring timely payment of stipends and other reimbursements for eligible council members and taskforce members, ensuring SOCAC has the necessary forms and procedures to complete our work and ensure effective flow of information, and providing excellent customer service.

Ensure that the college’s Emergency Operations Plans, and continuity of operations (COOP) plans are in place and regularly updated.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

The JCSS Trainee program is brand new and we’re looking forward to expanding services to the youth in our care with this position. The JCSS Trainees will assist with providing guidance, security, training, and general care to vulnerable youth populations with mental health and/or developmental issues within a detention setting or a Behavior Rehabilitation Services (BRS) program. As a trainee, you will gain on-the-job training & skills to become a regular status Juvenile Custody Services Specialist within 24 months. The starting hourly pay rate is $27.23.
As a JCSS with Multnomah County's Department of Community Justice, you'll help foster prosocial behavior with youth residing in our juvenile detention facility and our Behavioral Rehabilitation Services (BRS) residential program.
Working in a culturally diverse juvenile detention facility, you will be responsible for the guidance, security and general care of youth who present a variety of behavioral, cognitive, emotional and intellectual issues. Using an interactive model of supervision, we place particular emphasis on skill development, engaging youth in prosocial development, cognitive restructuring programming, leisure time activities, personal hygiene, and work activities.
As a regular JCSS, you will be responsible for:
Supervising and documenting youth activities and behavior
Admitting youth into the facility and with preliminary hearings.
Providing guidance and group programming, including planning recreational programs and facilitating cognitive skill groups
Maintaining safety, security and order in the living units
Maintaining routine records; preparing oral and written reports using automated systems
As a JCSS Trainee, you will be responsible for:

JCSS & JCSS Trainees work in a secure detention environment and in a Behavioral Rehabilitation Services (BRS) residential program. The detention facility has numerous two-level pods that house youth in detention.
All Juvenile Custody Services Specialists must have the ability to use verbal skills to de-escalate volatile situations. You must also be able and willing to respond to crisis situations, including physically intervening with youth who may be violently acting out; this may involve the use of restraints. All Juvenile Custody Services Specialists must have the ability to regularly go up and down stairs.
Some positions are assigned to work in a secure residential Behavioral Rehabilitation Services treatment program for youth of all genders who require a staff secured, out of home placement for assessment/evaluation, stabilization and transition planning.
The facility operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Applicants must be willing to work a variety of shifts, including overnight, swing, weekends and holidays. JCSS work on a continuous duty shift, meaning that you may not be relieved of duty during your work day. This position is also designated as Operationally Essential .

The Department of Community Justice Juvenile Detention and Residential Services Team is seeking committed, enthusiastic and compassionate JCSS and JCSS Trainees to strengthen our detention facility. If selected for one of these positions, you will serve a critical, operational role within the Juvenile Detention Center.
We’re excited to announce that this recruitment for JCSS also includes an inaugural recruitment for the new Juvenile Custody Services Trainee position! The JCSS Trainee program is brand new and we’re looking forward to expanding services to the youth in our care with this position. The JCSS Trainees will assist with providing guidance, security, training, and general care to vulnerable youth populations with mental health and/or developmental issues within a detention setting or a Behavior Rehabilitation Services (BRS) program. As a trainee, you will gain on-the-job training & skills to become a regular status Juvenile Custody Services Specialist within 24 months. The starting hourly pay rate is $27.23.
As a JCSS with Multnomah County's Department of Community Justice, you'll help foster prosocial behavior with youth residing in our juvenile detention facility and our Behavioral Rehabilitation Services (BRS) residential program.
Working in a culturally diverse juvenile detention facility, you will be responsible for the guidance, security and general care of youth who present a variety of behavioral, cognitive, emotional and intellectual issues. Using an interactive model of supervision, we place particular emphasis on skill development, engaging youth in prosocial development, cognitive restructuring programming, leisure time activities, personal hygiene, and work activities.
As a regular JCSS, you will be responsible for:
Supervising and documenting youth activities and behavior
Admitting youth into the facility and with preliminary hearings.
Providing guidance and group programming, including planning recreational programs and facilitating cognitive skill groups
Maintaining safety, security and order in the living units
Maintaining routine records; preparing oral and written reports using automated systems
As a JCSS Trainee, you will be responsible for:
Assisting with supervision and documentation of youth activities and behavior.
Assisting in admitting youth into the facility and with preliminary hearings.
Assisting with providing guidance and group programming, including planning recreational programs and facilitating cognitive skill groups.
Assisting with maintaining safety, security and order in the living units.

JCSS & JCSS Trainees work in a secure detention environment and in a Behavioral Rehabilitation Services (BRS) residential program. The detention facility has numerous two-level pods that house youth in detention.
All Juvenile Custody Services Specialists must have the ability to use verbal skills to de-escalate volatile situations. You must also be able and willing to respond to crisis situations, including physically intervening with youth who may be violently acting out; this may involve the use of restraints. All Juvenile Custody Services Specialists must have the ability to regularly go up and down stairs.
Some positions are assigned to work in a secure residential Behavioral Rehabilitation Services treatment program for youth of all genders who require a staff secured, out of home placement for assessment/evaluation, stabilization and transition planning.
The facility operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Applicants must be willing to work a variety of shifts, including overnight, swing, weekends and holidays. JCSS work on a continuous duty shift, meaning that you may not be relieved of duty during your work day. This position is also designated as Operationally Essential .

Position Summary
Project Analysts and Associates at Blue Forest focus on the development of conservation finance projects while coordinating and contributing to other aspects of Blue Forest workstreams, including research and science efforts, communications, education and capacity building, and building and maintaining partnerships. This typically includes working on two to three projects simultaneously and, over time, developing a specialization (e.g., geographic, issue area, modeling, communications) that advances project development across the organization.
For this posting, we are looking to hire 2-3 Analyst and/or Associate roles:
One role will be a generalist focused fully on project development
One to two hires will have a portion of their role that leans into the scientific modeling side of project development, benefit scoping and evaluation, science communication, and research.
Position responsibilities include supporting execution and day-to-day operations for individual projects, fostering and managing relationships with project partners, facilitating the advancement of working relationships between Blue Forest and beneficiary organizations, and partnering with Managers and Directors to connect day-to-day operations with a long-term strategy.
The project development aspect of the role involves being detail-oriented during day-to-day operations and execution while supporting Managers and Directors with strategy. Analysts and Associates play a key role in project development by developing written materials, working with Managers and Directors to give presentations, and developing relationships with partners. In addition, Analysts and Associates spend their time supporting or servicing as lead coordinator for special projects within other departments at Blue Forest.
Responsibilities & Duties
Individual FRB Project Development (50-75%)
Support the development of multiple FRB projects from conception to execution, including bringing structure and processes to innovative and ambiguous projects. Project workstreams will include:
Partnering with land managers (such as the Forest Service) on implementation strategies for priority restoration projects
Researching and engaging potential project beneficiaries
Quantifying and communicating project benefits with internal and external science partners
Developing proposals and securing funding commitments from beneficiaries
Engaging community stakeholders, Native nations, and potential project collaborators
Develop and execute project materials such as presentations, two-pagers, and memorandums to support project development and partner engagement
Foster relationships with project development partners across a portfolio of project assignments
Integrate and enhance DEI and tribal engagement throughout the project development process
Developing Expertise (20-40%)

Responsibilities:
Administration
Assist the Chief of Staff with administrative tasks, scheduling support, writing, travel logistics, reimbursements and expense reports, as needed.
Support the Chief of Staff in the development and execution of weekly full-staff meetings including topic development, collection of weekly departmental updates, confirmation of presenters, coordination with interpreters, and preparing announcements of arriving and departing staff.
Provide logistical and in-person support for bi-annual executive team retreats, quarterly board meetings, and annual full staff retreat including: ordering and receiving food and supplies, preparing materials, coordinating the setting up and cleaning of physical space.
Provide logistical support for virtual and in-person meetings, and lead note-taking and disseminating follow-ups in several regularly occurring meetings, including confidential executive team and occasional board-related meetings.
Archive all department wide materials and documents and ensure files are retained consistent with organizational policy, including appropriate use of Google Drive and organizational network drive.
Contribute to the team with other projects and duties as assigned.
Travel up to 10% including staff retreats, meetings, occasional board meetings/retreats, conferences and professional development opportunities, as needed.

Qualifications:
Work Experience: Required – At least 1 year of experience in administrative support for a team. Preferred – Experience working directly for someone in senior leadership in an organization; experience doing so in a non-profit, political organization or campaign. Experience working on organizational culture and/or community building.
Skills: Required – Highly attentive to details and able to take ownership of routine tasks. Excellent written and oral communications skills, and proficient in word processing, spreadsheets and databases. Adept at maintaining systems for easy access to information and data. Extremely well organized; high level of integrity and ability to manage confidential information; solid judgment; self-starter, critical thinking skills; a sense of teamwork and ability to foster community; works well in a fast-paced environment; ability to handle multiple tasks; plans ahead and can see the big picture;. Administration
Assist the Chief of Staff with administrative tasks, scheduling support, writing, travel logistics, reimbursements and expense reports, as needed.
Support the Chief of Staff in the development and execution of weekly full-staff meetings including topic development, collection of weekly departmental updates, confirmation of presenters, coordination with interpreters, and preparing announcements of arriving and departing staff.
Provide logistical and in-person support for bi-annual executive team retreats, quarterly board meetings, and annual full staff retreat including: ordering and receiving food and supplies, preparing materials, coordinating the setting up and cleaning of physical space.
Provide logistical support for virtual and in-person meetings, and lead note-taking and disseminating follow-ups in several regularly occurring meetings, including confidential executive team and occasional board-related meetings.
Archive all department wide materials and documents and ensure files are retained consistent with organizational policy, including appropriate use of Google Drive and organizational network drive.
Contribute to the team with other projects and duties as assigned.
Travel up to 10% including staff retreats, meetings, occasional board meetings/retreats, conferences and professional development opportunities, as needed.
Conduct in-office responsibilities from LCV’s Washington D.C. office on average one day per week, including occasional in-person check-ins, meetings, and logistical support.

Qualifications:

Experience working on organizational culture and/or community building.

The salary range for new hires in this position is $83,000 – $99,000. Salaries vary based on geographical location. The salary range for new hires in this position is $83,000 – $99,000. Salaries vary based on geographical location. After submitting an application, candidates who move forward in the hiring process are provided with the salary for their geographical location. LCV is hiring a Vice President of Membership & Direct Response Fundraising who will lead, design and direct the organization’s efforts to significantly expand, engage, and diversify our base of grassroots funders and activists. The Vice President of Membership & Direct Response Fundraising is responsible for evaluating all facets of our current program, proposing and executing plans for its expansion and the management, development and growth of the grassroots file and budget across all channels.

Responsibilities:
Manage a team of three existing direct response staff and several direct response and digital partners while identifying gaps and opportunities for expansion and growth.
Collaborate across the fundraising leadership team to ensure we are implementing strategies that retain and move activists and grassroots donors and members up the fundraising ladder.
Lead the development of the strategies, structure, and operating systems to achieve short- and long-term direct response fundraising and advocacy program goals at LCV.
Design and consistently improve the member experience, ensuring strong donor acknowledgement, engagement, and recognition processes and activities that ultimately moves them into personal relationship-based development efforts.
Ensure that LCV’s brand and overall marketing and communications strategy is used consistently and includes a racial justice and equity lens.
Develop a significantly more racially and generationally diverse membership base. Create a strategic and coordinated fundraising plan and schedule, centered on racial justice and equity, for both online and offline communications.
Through careful analytics and reporting, ensure the program maximizes revenue and return on investment.
Lead the growth marketing strategy and execution of a well-established, but constantly evolving monthly giving program, ensuring the program’s budgetary goals are accurately established and met.
Work with LCV program, development and communications managers to develop, coordinate and lead the engagement of LCV members in advocacy.
Serve as the primary lead on the direct marketing program’s budgeting process, monitoring program revenue and expenses, analyzing and interpreting program results to consistently innovate and improve performance.
Improve segmentation and messaging to create a personal and positive experience for donors and activists through email, informed by analytics (e.g., predictive modeling, social media data mining).
Support preparation of annual revenue and expense targets and manage spending to stay within budget.
Travel up to 10% for staff retreats, trainings and conferences, as needed.

Qualifications:
Work Experience: Required – Minimum of ten years experience in direct marketing including direct mail, telemarketing and digital (paid media and email). Experience leading strategy and execution of a mid-large scale, multi-channel, direct response fundraising operation. Proven experience participating in a collaborative, cross-functional fundraising leadership team. Must have demonstrated supervisory experience successfully managing and growing high performing teams. Experience leading overall strategy of as well as day-to-day implementation of a complex direct marketing program. Experience utilizing analytics and data to drive strategies, data segmentation and reporting to leverage and maximize growth including upgrades and lapsed strategies.
