Chispa, a program of LCV, works to ensure that Latine communities and leaders have a strong voice in the movement for climate justice and within the environmental movement and influence the environmental policies and decisions that impact our health and environment. Based in the Community & Civic Engagement department, Chispa has programs in Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Maryland, Nevada, and Texas.
LCV is hiring a Chispa Texas Digital Organizer who will integrate field organizing with online action and work with the Chispa TX Program Director to oversee the online presence for Chispa TX. The focus of this role is on building, engaging, and growing our bilingual online community via social media, email, mobile, online advocacy, and other Conservation Voter Movement resources and tools. The Digital Organizer will use digital tools to advance our campaigns and strategy in the field and online and mobilize and grow our statewide base of volunteers and supporters around our organizing campaigns. This position will join a dynamic, skilled and growing data-driven organizing team, working closely with the Chispa TX Program Director, Chispa national team, and community members and leaders. The ideal candidate is a creative, self-motivated, enthusiastic organizer passionate about the fight for climate justice and ready to take action to hold polluters accountable and advocate for community-driven solutions to address climate change and environmental racism.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Chispa National Communications Director, Chispa Digital & Creative Campaigns Manager, and Chispa National Senior Director to engage supporters to take action and keep in touch with our program through email, social media, digital ads, mobile platforms, petitions, website(s) and other online mediums, including organizing online supporters to take offline action in order to support our campaigns and program.
Work with Chispa TX Program Director to ensure accurate data program tracking related to the email lists, acquisition, event participation, signups, Chispa TX website, and Chispa TX social channels to improve the effectiveness of our campaigns and program and to inform future strategies.
Work with Chispa National Communications & Digital team and consultants to produce and disseminate multimedia content that centers the stories of communities of color at the local level. Promote via social media, email newsletters, etc.
Support management of social media and maintain all Chispa TX digital content up to date, including updating a future Chispa TX website, as needed, and maintaining an archive of all multimedia content across programs and campaigns.
Support creation of online content for events, training, and volunteer opportunities, including, but not limited to, flyers, online forms, social media posts, linktree, zoom functions and technology, etc.
Develop materials and workshops for grassroots organizing base and promotores on best online digital practices and support implementation.
Find new innovative opportunities for audience expansion by staying connected to peers and digital communities.
Support the Chispa TX Organizing team with data training, regular reports, and daily use of EveryAction and Google Spreadsheets to track progress.
Travel up to 10% for organizing events, staff retreats, meetings, conferences and professional development opportunities, as needed.

Qualifications:
Work Experience: Required – Minimum of 2 years of experience in social media management, online organizing, online marketing, communications, email advocacy or new media. Experience using online tools to grow, engage and mobilize a membership base. Must have experience working with EveryAction or another database. Preferred – Grassroots organizing, issue-based or candidate campaign experience. Experience in a political context, preferably in a Latine/Tejano, progressive, or environmental organization.

LCV is hiring a Chispa Texas Digital Organizer who will integrate field organizing with online action and work with the Chispa TX Program Director to oversee the online presence for Chispa TX. The focus of this role is on building, engaging, and growing our bilingual online community via social media, email, mobile, online advocacy, and other Conservation Voter Movement resources and tools. The Digital Organizer will use digital tools to advance our campaigns and strategy in the field and online and mobilize and grow our statewide base of volunteers and supporters around our organizing campaigns. Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Chispa National Communications Director, Chispa Digital & Creative Campaigns Manager, and Chispa National Senior Director to engage supporters to take action and keep in touch with our program through email, social media, digital ads, mobile platforms, petitions, website(s) and other online mediums, including organizing online supporters to take offline action in order to support our campaigns and program.
Work with Chispa TX Program Director to ensure accurate data program tracking related to the email lists, acquisition, event participation, signups, Chispa TX website, and Chispa TX social channels to improve the effectiveness of our campaigns and program and to inform future strategies.
Work with Chispa National Communications & Digital team and consultants to produce and disseminate multimedia content that centers the stories of communities of color at the local level. Promote via social media, email newsletters, etc.
Support management of social media and maintain all Chispa TX digital content up to date, including updating a future Chispa TX website, as needed, and maintaining an archive of all multimedia content across programs and campaigns.
Support creation of online content for events, training, and volunteer opportunities, including, but not limited to, flyers, online forms, social media posts, linktree, zoom functions and technology, etc.
Develop materials and workshops for grassroots organizing base and promotores on best online digital practices and support implementation.
Find new innovative opportunities for audience expansion by staying connected to peers and digital communities.
Support the Chispa TX Organizing team with data training, regular reports, and daily use of EveryAction and Google Spreadsheets to track progress.
Travel up to 10% for organizing events, staff retreats, meetings, conferences and professional development opportunities, as needed.
Conduct in-office responsibilities and events, including meetings with the Chispa Texas team, external partners and key stakeholders, from the Chispa Texas office in Corpus Christi at least 4 days per week.

Qualifications:
Work Experience: Required – Minimum of 2 years of experience in social media management, online organizing, online marketing, communications, email advocacy or new media. Experience using online tools to grow, engage and mobilize a membership base. Must have experience working with EveryAction or another database. Preferred – Grassroots organizing, issue-based or candidate campaign experience. Experience in a political context, preferably in a Latine/Tejano, progressive, or environmental organization.

YOUR IMPACT
The It’s On Us Virtual Peer-Educator Trainer will be responsible for:
Learning and translating the content of our peer-education programs to our national network of student leaders.
Managing scheduling of all virtual peer-educator training sessions to be at times that are accessible and responsive to college student schedules across U.S. time zones.
Conducting 8-10 one-hour virtual peer educator training sessions per month during the months of August, September, October, November, January, February, March, and April.
Conduct 8-10 one-hour virtual peer educator training sessions with It’s On Us’s Regional Advisors and Caucus Chairs during the months of June and July as part of their summer masterclass training.
Conducting virtual peer-educator training sessions with students who present at It’s On Us Regional Student Leadership Summits (four per year).
Providing feedback to the Associate Director of Campus Organizing on the content, quality, and student engagement with the peer-educator training sessions on a needs-basis.
YOUR EXPERIENCE
Experience conducting peer-education programs.
A track record of effectively conducting engaging virtual education programs with youth and/or young adults.
YOUR COMPETENCIES
A demonstrated commitment to combatting sexual violence.
The ability to educate and give feedback in a trauma-informed manner, taking into consideration that many of It’s On Us’s student leaders are survivors themselves.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Strong ability to listen, understand, connect, earn the trust of, and collaborate with youth and young adults.

YOUR IMPACT
The It’s On Us Virtual Peer-Educator Trainer will be responsible for:
Learning and translating the content of our peer-education programs to our national network of student leaders.
Managing scheduling of all virtual peer-educator training sessions to be at times that are accessible and responsive to college student schedules across U.S. time zones.
Conducting 8-10 one-hour virtual peer educator training sessions per month during the months of August, September, October, November, January, February, March, and April.
Conduct 8-10 one-hour virtual peer educator training sessions with It’s On Us’s Regional Advisors and Caucus Chairs during the months of June and July as part of their summer masterclass training.
Conducting virtual peer-educator training sessions with students who present at It’s On Us Regional Student Leadership Summits (four per year).
Providing feedback to the Associate Director of Campus Organizing on the content, quality, and student engagement with the peer-educator training sessions on a needs-basis.
YOUR EXPERIENCE
Experience conducting peer-education programs.
A track record of effectively conducting engaging virtual education programs with youth and/or young adults.
YOUR COMPETENCIES
A demonstrated commitment to combatting sexual violence.
The ability to educate and give feedback in a trauma-informed manner, taking into consideration that many of It’s On Us’s student leaders are survivors themselves.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Strong ability to listen, understand, connect, earn the trust of, and collaborate with youth and young adults.
Knowledge of Zoom, Google Slides, and/or equivalent webinar platforms and virtual presentation tools.
SALARY & BENEFITS
The Washington, DC-based salary range for this position is $ 20-$25 per hour up to 20 hours per month (will be adjusted for cost of labor for the incumbent's work location), commensurate with experience..

The Michigan Organizing Director will manage our field team in Michigan as part of this ambitious effort. In Michigan, our work will focus on organizing young people to run a C3 voter registration program in communities and on campuses. Run a statewide organizing program focused on registering young voters. Support the State Director to develop and execute campaign plans with effective organizing tactics

Oversee and expand upon Civic Nation’s fundraising and corporate partnerships strategies focused on individual, corporate, and institutional major donors that fosters long-term sustainability and takes advantage of current trends and opportunities to enhance organizational impact.

Civic Nation seeks a Chief of Staff who will facilitate the work of the senior leadership team and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The ideal candidate is highly organized, collaborative, and possesses strong decision-making and leadership skills. The Chief of Staff must be passionate about Civic Nation’s mission and have the ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. In addition, the Chief of Staff will be able to quickly integrate themselves into the organization, assess barriers, and implement processes to maximize effectiveness. The Chief of Staff reports to the CEO, and also manages the Special Assistant, Executive Office, and the Board Liaison.

The Executive Office is responsible for setting the vision and strategy for Civic Nation, promoting coordination across departments and teams, and ensuring that the organization has the necessary resources to achieve its goals.

YOUR IMPACT
Executive Leadership
Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and the leadership team.
Create, maintain, and strengthen cross-departmental relationships and communication to ensure leadership success.
Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to maintain systems and processes to streamline operations across the organization.
Develop agendas for and manage leadership and bi-weekly meetings of the full Civic Nation team.
Project manage key leadership initiatives that require significant coordination across teams and departments, including timelines, budgets, deliverables, metrics, and debriefs.
Support CEO in management of and engagement with the Board of Directors.
Act as liaison between CEO and leadership to ensure consistent communication, involvement, or decision-making at the proper time.
Manage and direct the work of the Special Assistant Executive Office on the management of the CEO’s calendar and assist in prioritizing their time and schedule.
Partner with the Senior Leadership Teams to ensure development of each team’s strategic plans and goals.
Collaborate with the CEO in steering effective execution of the organization’s short-term and long-term goals.
Partner with the People & Operations department to ensure an inclusive workplace culture.
Other reasonable and related duties as assigned.
Initiative Oversight
Work closely with the Chief Impact & Operating Officer to ensure that initiatives are adequately resourced to successfully executive on their key objectives.
Work closely with the CFO to ensure financial resources are allocated appropriately to initiatives in alignment with Civic Nation’s overarching budget.
Manage the engagement of senior leadership in new initiatives; ensuring deadlines are met and outcomes achieved.
Ensure that collaboration between initiative Executive Directors and the development team is smooth and support the completion of funding proposals, grant reports, and budgets.
Participate with the CEO and senior management team in strategic planning, policy development, and decision-making.
YOUR EXPERIENCE
8+ years of professional experience
Demonstrated experience managing teams, systems, and processes for organizations.
Proven experience organizing and directing multiple teams and departments
Experience planning and leading strategic initiatives

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, patience, and flexibility
Exceptional leadership and communication skills – a good listener who can be both empathetic and pragmatic

SALARY & BENEFITS
The salary range for this position is $140,000 - $170,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Our comprehensive benefits plan includes 100% employer-paid health, dental, and vision insurance for employees, flexible paid time off, paid family & medical leave, access to a 401k plan, and more.
