Essential Functions: Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Development Director (DD) will provide strategic leadership for the planning, implementation, evaluation, integration, and administration development department. The DD will lead a team of development professionals in achieving the organization’s revenue goals, increasing income, and educating and engaging more individuals and institutions in the to advance the organization’s mission. The DD will be part of a skilled team of professionals working to raise at least $5 million annually. The DD manages a multi-faceted fundraising program; central to this role will be prioritizing personal solicitation of major donors, events, online and direct marketing, and foundation fundraising.
Duties:
Work closely with the Development Team to establish fundraising goals, set strategic priorities, advise on program development, and develop and meet annual budget
Manage and build a growing team of development professionals, provide on-going guidance, direction, and motivation, hire team members and provide oversight to consultants as needed, delegate appropriately and ensure strong internal communication and coordination, and evaluate performance and provide opportunities for personal and professional growth
Work closely with the Boards of Directors to engage them more deeply in the fundraising process and to help cultivate a strong relationship between board members and the organization
Help track cultivation and prospecting activity and ensure the execution of action items
Solicit contributions from major individual donors and steward long-term relationships with donors
Develop relationships with prospective individual and foundation donors to increase funding
Research prospective institutional and individual funders
Work with internal partners to draft and edit proposals and reports
Track proposal and reporting deadlines, ensure that all submitted materials are accurate and comply with any funder requirements
Manage all grant activity in a central database and deliver regular reports to the Executive Director
Serve as the point person for management and maintenance of funders database and ensure efficient system utilization across all units
Oversee the implementation of ongoing programs to improve the renewal rates of existing annual donors, creatively use events to upgrade donors and maintain a diversity of revenue
Work with the VP of Operations to develop annual budgets and income projections
Stay abreast of political and philanthropic trends and ensure that Board and staff are informed of changes in legislation and other trends and initiatives that might impact giving
Competencies:

Well-developed writing, interpersonal and organizational skills and experience managing staff

Commensurate according to years of experience. All employees must meet a 6-month probationary period. Continuation of this position after one year is dependent on the successful candidate meeting jointly determined performance goals.

Directly manage and provide leadership in the state with the development, implementation, and analysis of state campaign plans, with an emphasis on direct voter contact programs. Outdoor Program Staff General Duties: Outdoor Program On-Call staff lead year-round weekend programs and trips across the state for Girl Scouts of Colorado (GSCO).
This position is responsible for facilitating activities including outdoor adventure sports, environmental education, and camp games and programs. This position is responsible for delivering high quality outdoor adventure programs that highlight high adventure, technical skill development, and leadership opportunities Girl Scout members.
This position will support the Outdoor Adventure Club program, Troop Camps & Programs, and support other special events as needed. The scope of work is varied and includes the following program models: full weekend overnight camps, day only programs, teen outdoor adventure programs, and special events. Outdoor Program Staff General Duties: Outdoor Program On-Call staff lead year-round weekend programs and trips across the state for Girl Scouts of Colorado (GSCO).

Within the Oregon Health Authority, the Business Information Systems (BIS) section administers two programs the Compass and Business Systems Unit teams. The Compass Team is responsible for developing and supporting data systems that are responsive to the needs of the Office of Behavioral Health, including leading the Compass Modernization portfolio of projects. The Compass Team priorities are focusing on continuity of care, improving outcomes, enhancing data quality, breaking down information silos, streamlining reporting, and reducing administrative burden. The Compass Team’s data and system work supports the OHA efforts to help identify and monitor the elimination of health inequities.
The purpose of this position is to support the data collection, analysis and reporting efforts of the OHA and serves as a critical coordination point for data and reporting between the Health Systems Division Compass Team and Health Policy and Analytics Behavioral Health Analytics (BHA) Team. This position performs a variety of research activities and tasks to facilitate the completion of operational reports and research studies, policy analyses, and production of a variety of reports, dashboards, and other data products. The University Events team creates experiences for university constituent populations to engage, cultivate and educate alumni, friends and donors in support of the University’s strategies.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years’ related experience in event planning and management. University event planning experience is preferred. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must demonstrate competence with computer hardware and software applications including Microsoft Office, specifically MS Excel and Word. Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Must be highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and be professional and poised, particularly in settings with event guests, university leadership, and vendors. Events management to include knowledge of budgets and contracts. Familiarity with constituent databases a must, experience with Raiser’s Edge software a plus.
Additional Comments Regarding Position
Will be required to work occasional nights and weekends.

The Assistant Registrar for Transfer Evaluation is responsible for managing all areas of transfer credit evaluation activities at the College of Charleston and have the ability to analyze and solve simple and complex problems. The position provides assistance in training, guidance and leadership to transfer credit evaluation staff and with the faculty on course and credit evaluations. Their primary responsibilities would include international and second-degree seeking student evaluations for incoming students as well as assisting with other student populations when needed. They will also be required to provide data reports regarding transfer credit evaluation. The position will also act as the liaison with the SC Commission on Higher Education regarding state transfer policies.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and minimum of two years experience working in higher education or other relatable experience. Supervisory experience is preferred. Experience with student information systems and CRM preferred. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent written and oral communication skills required. Requires skillful planning, organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills. Well versed in the demands and implications of such legislative mandates as FERPA and Graham-Leach-Bliley and how they relate to records management. Ability to apply and enforce records and information management principles and techniques equitably and evenly across various campus units. Experience researching, interpreting, and applying College/University policies and procedures relating to transfer credit is required. Proven experience as a supervisor or relevant role. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present reports and project plans effectively to groups. Experience with Ellucian Banner Student (or other comparable student information system) important, specifically in official transfer credit evaluation management. Familiarity with higher education degree audit systems helpful. Familiarity with international and military transfer credit preferred. Must be highly functional with Microsoft Office and informational databases. Must be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals; lead team projects; and establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Additional Comments Regarding Position
Required to travel overnight to conferences on occasion and to work some nights and weekends during office events and peak transcript evaluation periods. Must be able to drive to Columbia for meetings when needed.
