Job Purpose
The Student Success Data Analyst plays the lead role in supporting the data-driven decision-making functions of the institution directly related to student success and retention. This position serves the Offices of Institutional Research and Student Success by providing first-class reporting solutions and analyses to support improved outcomes for the College’s students and enrollment management activities of academic administration.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer science, mathematics/statistics, engineering, management information science, data processing or related field and experience with Tableau, Cognos/Argos, SQL , and/or SAS is required. Experience with data mining, including techniques of data extraction, documentation, analysis, and reporting is required. Experience working in a higher education environment is preferred. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.

Required: Experience with Tableau, Cognos/Argos, SQL , and/or SAS . Advanced SAS programming experience is preferred. Working knowledge and practitioner of methods and techniques of data extraction, documentation, analysis, and reporting. Experience in analyzing data and presenting findings using a wide variety of descriptive and inferential statistics, including customizing the results based on the research needs and audience. Proficiency with MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint and PowerPoint. Knowledge and understanding of the data and information that is important to an academic institution. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and to communicate effectively. Must be able to work well under strict deadlines and have exceptional attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects with shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment. Must understand the significance of maintaining data integrity and confidentially with student records; knowledge of and adherence to FERPA regulations. Preferred: Exceptional organizational skills and experience managing and documenting complex projects. Knowledge of higher education information systems such as Ellucian Banner and related data systems and repositories such as Salesforce, IPEDS , US News, and CSRDE .

Limited overnight travel may be required to attend professional development conferences and meetings. You will join a part of the Environmental Assessment Program (EAP) whose mission is to measure, assess, and communicate environmental conditions in Washington. Duties
What makes this role unique?
You will join a part of the inorganics unit at Manchester Environmental Laboratory (MEL), a highly active production lab. In this role, you will follow EPA Methods, Standard Methods, and strict QC protocol and you will operate state of the art instrumentation. As a chemist in this unit you must be detail oriented, organized, collaborative, communicate well, and be able to work independently as well as part of a team. What you will do:
Perform sample digestions and chemical analysis on water, wastewater, sludge, sediment, tissue and hazardous waste samples for metals by ICP-OES and mercury by CVAA.
Perform sample digestions and chemical analysis on water samples for Hg by CVAFS.
Prepare, digest and analyze water, wastewater, sludge, sediment and hazardous waste samples for TCLP metals by ICP-OES.
Back up to primary analyst for ICPMS in prep and analyses.
May assist in the research and development of new methodology
Cross-train to backup primary nutrient analyst and general chemistry technicians in preparations and/or analyses.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Experience for both required and desired qualifications can be gained through various combinations of formal professional employment, educational and volunteer experience. See below for how you may qualify.
A Bachelor's degree with a major in chemistry or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours of college-level chemistry. AND Experience – Two years of experience preparing and analyzing environmental samples for Inorganic analytes (general chemistry and/or metals). OR
One year of experience preparing and analyzing environmental samples for Inorganic analytes (general chemistry and/or metals) as a Chemist 1 or higher. at the Department of Ecology Note: A Master’s degree will substitute for two years of the required experience provided a Bachelor’s degree and the required college-level chemistry has been achieved.
Special Requirements/Conditions of Employment:

Valid driver’s license required.

Preferred experience
One year preparing and analyzing environmental samples for metals by ICP-OES.
One year preparing and analyzing environmental samples for Hg following CVAA and/or CVAFS.
Experience in Flow Injection Analyzer (FIA), Ion Chromatographer(IC), automated titrator, carbon hydrogen nitrogen (CHN) analyzer.
Preferred competencies: Familiar with Element data management system. Note: Having some (or all) of this desired experience may make your application more competitive in a highly competitive applicant pool.

Duties
What makes this role unique?
You will join a part of the inorganics unit at Manchester Environmental Laboratory (MEL), a highly active production lab. In this role, you will follow EPA Methods, Standard Methods, and strict QC protocol and you will operate state of the art instrumentation. As a chemist in this unit you must be detail oriented, organized, collaborative, communicate well, and be able to work independently as well as part of a team. What you will do:
Perform sample digestions and chemical analysis on water, wastewater, sludge, sediment, tissue and hazardous waste samples for metals by ICP-OES and mercury by CVAA.
Perform sample digestions and chemical analysis on water samples for Hg by CVAFS.
Prepare, digest and analyze water, wastewater, sludge, sediment and hazardous waste samples for TCLP metals by ICP-OES.
Back up to primary analyst for ICPMS in prep and analyses.
May assist in the research and development of new methodology
Cross-train to backup primary nutrient analyst and general chemistry technicians in preparations and/or analyses.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Experience for both required and desired qualifications can be gained through various combinations of formal professional employment, educational and volunteer experience. See below for how you may qualify.
A Bachelor's degree with a major in chemistry or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours of college-level chemistry. AND Experience – Two years of experience preparing and analyzing environmental samples for Inorganic analytes (general chemistry and/or metals). OR
One year of experience preparing and analyzing environmental samples for Inorganic analytes (general chemistry and/or metals) as a Chemist 1 or higher. at the Department of Ecology Note: A Master’s degree will substitute for two years of the required experience provided a Bachelor’s degree and the required college-level chemistry has been achieved.

Experience in Flow Injection Analyzer (FIA), Ion Chromatographer(IC), automated titrator, carbon hydrogen nitrogen (CHN) analyzer.

The Rules and Accountability section of the Governmental Relations Office is currently looking to fill a Data Analyst (Management Analyst 4) position that will be located at our Headquarters Building in Lacey, WA .
In this senior management analyst role, you will be responsible for ensuring that customer feedback and satisfaction data is collected, analyzed, and used as part of Ecology’s Performance Management System. One key project is managing Ecology’s Regulated Customer Feedback contract, a survey conducted of our regulated customers. You will advise Executive Leadership and employees across the agency on how to gather feedback from our customers about their experiences interacting with Ecology. You will design feedback mechanisms, help employees analyze the results and advise on next steps and process improvements. In addition, you will be a part of the Governmental Relations performance management team and will participate in developing our agency’s strategic plan, support our performance measure framework, and assist in the implementation of our quarterly performance reviews. The Financial Services Division within the Department of Ecology is looking to fill an Accounts Receivable Contracts Lead (Fiscal Analyst 4) position. This position is located in our Headquarters Office in Lacey, WA .
In this role, you will serve as Principal Assistant to the Revenue and Receivables Unit Manager with expertise in the functional areas associated with contracts and loans receivable accounting.
The Revenue and Receivables Unit is located within the Fiscal Office. The Fiscal Office and Budget Office make up the Financial Services Division (FSD). The FSD is one of six administrative divisions that serve Ecology. The FSD’s core work is to manage the agency’s financial resources and support agency planning so the agency can meet environmental goals and strategic priorities. FSD provides centralized financial support in accounting, budget, contracts, purchasing, and inventory. The result is Ecology managers, the Governor, State Auditor, Office of Financial Management, and the Legislature have confidence in Ecology and our financial information, and can use it to make crucial decisions affecting the environment.

Duties
What makes this role unique?
In this newly established position, you will lead three other positions in the Accounts Receivable Unit. Working with different kinds of contracts will help you broaden your knowledge of receivable contracts and miscellaneous receivable transactions as well as Penalty Enforcement transactions.
What you will do:
Reconcile agency administered accounts and general ledgers per state policy.
Process and review cost recovery documents – including AR Contracts, Interagency Agreements, Cost Reimbursement Agreements, Loan Receivable Documents, Penalties, and other receivable agreements processed by the Unit.
Assure the financial integrity of Ecology receivable contracts and the agency’s multi-million dollar loan programs.
Serve as Ecology subject matter expert for Ecology staff that use the eHub System.
Make recommendations for continuous improvement of payment processing and agreement monitoring, including the use of all available technology, to provide better service to our customers without compromising the integrity of the financial systems.
Provide consultative services and expertise to Ecology staff about accounting policy, procedures and controls, and agency financial systems.

Keeping Washington Clean and Evergreen The Air Quality Program within the Department of Ecology is looking to fill a Climate Commitment Act Environmental Justice Planner position. This position is located in our Headquarters Office in Lacey, WA . The Climate Commitment Act (CCA) includes the responsibility for Ecology to identify overburdened communities, and then take action to monitor and evaluate the air quality, and reduce pollutants in these communities. You will directly support this work as our senior policy expert and analyst. You will design, plan, and implement key rules, policies and guidance to support these environmental justice priorities. This work is closely connected with the requirements of the broader Healthy Environment for All Act (or HEAL Act). With this act, Ecology and other state agencies are engaging with communities throughout the state and incorporating environmental justice practices into our work. In this position, you will participate in government-to-government Tribal consultation on these activities. The mission of the Air Quality Program (AQP) is to protect and improve air quality in Washington. The Air Quality Program’s vision is clean, healthy air and climate for all of Washington. To support our mission we are looking for a Database Manager to join our team, working out of our headquarters' location in Reston, VA ( all employees are working remotely while we make return to office decisions, expected to be in early 2022 ). Additionally this position may be a remote position in locations where NWF has offices.
This is position working in our Strategic Business Operations (SBO) department will report to the Director of Supporter Systems. In this role you will be responsible for the day to day operation of NWF’s customer relationship management (CRM) database, which is the primary supporter database and system of record for over 9 million constituents that processes over 65 million dollars in donations per year. You will also manage our Atlassian JIRA Cloud application which is used across the organization for task tracking and agile project management. You will manage front-end system enhancements, troubleshooting, and data integration efforts. Additionally, you will lead projects related to supporter system upgrades and conduct market research to stay well-informed of emerging technology solutions. To do this you will work in a collaborative environment with end users, developers, vendors, and analysts to support NWF’s fundraising, program and activism goals.
In this role you will:
Manage NWF’s CRM operations involving user support, enhancement requests, trainings, and process documentation.
Manage NWF’s Atlassian JIRA Cloud operations involving user support, enhancement requests, trainings, backup manager, and process documentation.
Attain subject matter expert status by learning and understanding business goals
Proactively identify business process impacts and suggest/create system enhancements to make improvements.
Manage internal and cross-departmental projects by gathering requirements, prioritizing goals, leading meetings, developing action plans, and executing solutions.
Enhance the CRM and JIRA user experience by providing proactive recommendations and support.
Troubleshoot system errors and work directly with developers and vendors to resolve issues.
Research new functionality and integration opportunities that would benefit NWF’s fundraising, program, and activism goals.
Build new channels to communicate system updates and recommendations to increase user adoption and awareness.
Collaborate with analysts to enhance NWF’s supporter segmentation and outreach efforts through system design changes and streamlining processes to be more effective and efficient.
Qualifications:
At least three years experience administering a CRM platform like Microsoft Dynamics or Salesforce (nonprofit CRM experience a plus)
At least three years experience project managing relational database and data integration efforts
At least one years experience working with an agile project management tool (Atlassian applications a plus)
Advanced Excel skills (comfortable working with formulas and pivot tables)

To support our mission we are looking for a Database Manager to join our team, working out of our headquarters' location in Reston, VA ( all employees are working remotely while we make return to office decisions, expected to be in early 2022 ). Additionally this position may be a remote position in locations where NWF has offices.
This is position working in our Strategic Business Operations (SBO) department will report to the Director of Supporter Systems. In this role you will be responsible for the day to day operation of NWF’s customer relationship management (CRM) database, which is the primary supporter database and system of record for over 9 million constituents that processes over 65 million dollars in donations per year. You will also manage our Atlassian JIRA Cloud application which is used across the organization for task tracking and agile project management. You will manage front-end system enhancements, troubleshooting, and data integration efforts. Additionally, you will lead projects related to supporter system upgrades and conduct market research to stay well-informed of emerging technology solutions. To do this you will work in a collaborative environment with end users, developers, vendors, and analysts to support NWF’s fundraising, program and activism goals.
In this role you will:
Manage NWF’s CRM operations involving user support, enhancement requests, trainings, and process documentation.
Manage NWF’s Atlassian JIRA Cloud operations involving user support, enhancement requests, trainings, backup manager, and process documentation.
Attain subject matter expert status by learning and understanding business goals
Proactively identify business process impacts and suggest/create system enhancements to make improvements.
Manage internal and cross-departmental projects by gathering requirements, prioritizing goals, leading meetings, developing action plans, and executing solutions.
Enhance the CRM and JIRA user experience by providing proactive recommendations and support.
Troubleshoot system errors and work directly with developers and vendors to resolve issues.
Research new functionality and integration opportunities that would benefit NWF’s fundraising, program, and activism goals.
Build new channels to communicate system updates and recommendations to increase user adoption and awareness.
Collaborate with analysts to enhance NWF’s supporter segmentation and outreach efforts through system design changes and streamlining processes to be more effective and efficient.
Qualifications:
At least three years experience administering a CRM platform like Microsoft Dynamics or Salesforce (nonprofit CRM experience a plus)
At least three years experience project managing relational database and data integration efforts
At least one years experience working with an agile project management tool (Atlassian applications a plus)
Advanced Excel skills (comfortable working with formulas and pivot tables)
Ability to create/learn SQL queries to pull bulk data sets
A passion for wildlife conservation and the great outdoors
A positive attitude and collaborative work style
Organized individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Compensation and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000 annually, dependent on qualifications and experience.
