Furthermore, our training coordinators represent the Hawkeye Community College at professional events in the business community and connect our business partners with other departments at the college.

Manages a portfolio of businesses ensuring a standard for successful relationship maintenance is achieved through responsiveness to ensure their unique workforce training objectives are met; and Hawkeye Community College is the preferred training provider.
Provides consultation and assessment services to evaluate business needs and develop solutions.
Facilitates training sessions, conferences, events, and other professional development opportunities.
Monitors business feedback after training to ensure training objectives are met.
Recruits and hires independent contractors and adjunct instructors that offer planning, coordination, and development of training topics.
Develops and implements marketing strategies to include print, digital, and social media.
Prepares professional documents including contracts, proposals, and agreements. Determines pay rates and invoicing costs.
Serves as the administrator for Salesforce CRM to manage business accounts, training sales, reporting, and related documents.
Refers and assists eligible businesses to apply for grant funds. Answers questions, ensures documentation meets State compliance and advises as grants mature.
Responds to referrals and inquiries for training solutions seeking to gain a service opportunity, as applicable.
Reviews and works within a department budget. Approves invoices to be paid and reimbursement requests for grant funding.
Participates in internal and external campus committees and advisory boards as assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, social/behavioral sciences, or related field and two (2) years of directly related work experience OR a combination of education and experience to total six (6) years.
Knowledge of training topics, state and federal regulations, and mandatory requirements.
Knowledge of statewide economic development programs and related legislation to guide and educate businesses.
Knowledge of various business industries and related training requirements.
Ability to travel to and from work sites and meetings, days and evenings.
Demonstrated ability to work with a culturally diverse student population, faculty, staff, and the general public.
Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal communication.
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, Google applications, and video conferencing technology.
Demonstrated ability to execute organization and department policies and procedures.
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential/sensitive information with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in higher education.
Experience with Salesforce software.
Business development/sales experience.
Experience building business relationships and networking with community groups.
Knowledge of State of Iowa grants regarding economic development and workforce training.
Working Conditions
The anticipated schedule is Monday – Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with occasional evenings and weekends for networking and/or professional development opportunities.
Work is performed either in or a combination of an office setting and/or classroom setting using technology. Requires good hand-eye coordination including visual acuity to use a keyboard and read technical information; arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp. Sit, stand, bend, lift and move frequently during working hours. During the course of the day, interact with students, faculty and staff in person, by telephone and by computers.
Employment Status

The School of Applied Technologies is seeking a Pathway Navigator to join their team. This position is set to begin 4/1/2024 and is specially funded through a Strengthening Community Colleges grant through 2/28/2027.
As our Pathway Navigator, you work individually with students to successful completion of competency-based education (CBE) programs/courses. This is done by being a positive role model, maintaining regular contact with prospective students, current student and graduates in order to provide guidance to our students. Additionally, you assist student to overcome barriers to success in their chosen program and courses. The CBE model allows students flexibility in when they demonstrate their proficiency of specific student learning outcomes. Programs transitioning to CBE include Industrial Automation, HVAC and Welding.

As the full time Academic/College Success Specialist you will primarily focus on the advising and retention of students by coordinating semester registration procedures, providing advising for students, as well as providing referrals to on-campus and off-campus resources. Job Summary
Hawkeye Community College’s Athletics program is looking for a part-time Men’s and Women’s Assistant Track & Field / Cross Country Coach to join their team.
The Assistant Cross Country/Track & Field Coach assists with the supervision and coaching of practices and competitions with an emphasis on cross country and distance events. This position will aid in recruiting student athletes, directing practices, managing practice and travel schedules, as well as, supervising team conduct during competition, travel, tournaments, and other events where the team is represented. The School of Human Services, Liberal & Applied Arts, specifically our Digital Mass Media program, is looking for a part time Applied Arts Assistant to join their team. In this position, you would be responsible for providing assistance to faculty and students for the audio and visual recording studios, computer labs, and digital mass media equipment. Additionally, as the Applied Arts Assistant, you are responsible for recordkeeping reporting as well as supervising and coordinating the duties of student employees.

Essential Job Functions
Important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Assists Dean with scheduling, training, and evaluating of work-study students in Digital Mass Media.
Assists faculty with field trips.
Maintains effective and efficient flow of communication and information through calendars, correspondence, memos, telephone messages, and office records.
Ensures that correct distribution and disposition is made of complaints, notices, publications, memoranda, directives, and related materials.
Assists with development of program and administrative budgets.
Provides basic repair, services, and maintains applied arts equipment and sends out equipment to appropriate vendor for detailed repair.
Negotiates with vendors, order supplies, processes purchase orders, and inventories items purchased.
Prepares bids for resale supplies.
Keeps track of all repairs out for service.
Prepares and monitors purchase orders for Applied Arts programs including monitoring Perkins budget.
Establishes and maintains computer records for inventory control, equipment maintenance and repairs.
Works with Facilities Manager to maintain up-to-date MSDS records.
Gives individual and group tours of the applied arts program facilities as needed.
Assists Dean and faculty in coordinating fine and applied arts related college activities and events including MORE and Experience Hawkeye.
Enforces college and program policies dealing with safety and other issues concerning the applied arts program.
Assists faculty in the development of classroom materials.
Supervises work study students.
Assists the Arts & Culture Coordinator with events.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, Capture One, and inventory software.

Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal communication.
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, Google applications, and video conferencing technology.
