Job Purpose
The Associate Director recruits, evaluates, and counsels prospective and admitted prospective students. Associate Directors travel extensively (10-15 weeks annually), recruit and counsel prospective and admitted students for undergraduate admission, implement recruitment strategies, and manage assigned recruitment territories. Associate Directors review applicants for undergraduate admissions. Associate Directors have both high level programmatic and supervisory responsibilities (supervision includes Admissions Counselors and/or Assistant Directors). Associate Directors work closely with leadership in the Division of Enrollment Planning to research and develop recruitment strategies to reach enrollment goals.
Minimum Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of admissions experience with supervisory experience required. Priority given to applicants with a Master’s degree. An understanding of admissions procedures and the college selection process and an ability to work with diverse student populations is necessary. Ability to travel for extended periods of time. Strong planning, organizing, technology, and oral and written communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work cooperatively with other staff members and the college community. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must possess excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills. Must have considerable knowledge, skills, and ability in computer operations, data entry, Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to work closely with the other members of the admissions staff and across campus. Highly prefer candidates that adapt well to evolving technology.
Additional Comments Regarding Position
Must be able to travel extensively. Must have a valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one. Evening and weekend work will be required. Ability to lift and carry 40 – 60 lbs. is
necessary. Experience working with CRM software (Salesforce/TargetX, transcript software, etc.) and SunGuard Banner products is preferred but not required.

Essential Job Functions
Important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Establishes long and short-range strategic plans for designated areas in collaboration with college leadership.
Appoints faculty assignments and schedule management.
Drives and manages innovation in Hawkeye's new and existing academic programs and teaching modalities.
Utilizes data from enrollment and retention reports to determine the number of sections of classes to offer, finding/assigning instructors based on their credentials; determining rooms based on equipment needs, and determining the time of course offering to best suit student needs.
Facilitates recruitment, registration, enrollment, and retention of students.
Prepares and/or reviews reports that provide guidance for student programming.
Oversees the curriculum development and assessment process.
Manages partnerships with schools and institutions to provide streamlined education resulting in efficient pathways for Hawkeye’s students.
Partners with facility management to provide updated and safe learning environments.
Executes personnel decisions and actions such as hiring, job coaching, completion of staff performance evaluations, oversees assignment of professional development opportunities for faculty and staff, and performs administrative tasks such as processing and approving leave requests and work load. Partners with HR regarding disciplinary matters.
Continuously analyzes and evaluates performance of faculty and makes recommendations for improvement. Manages probationary process of new faculty. Leads faculty development initiatives.
Prepares reports as needed for college, state, federal, or other entity reporting requirements.
Conducts advisory meetings to provide guidance on the directions of the programs.
Collaborates with other designated HCC personnel regarding course and program offerings for concurrent enrollment with school districts within the service area.
Collaborates with high school and higher education institutions to assure seamless transfers.
Resolve faculty and student issues to include by meeting with faculty and students to discuss concerns. Provides guidance regarding resolutions.
Collaborates with other community colleges to deliberate programs of study.
Collaborates with faculty to assess HCC equipment as well as assess future equipment needs within the departments and discipline areas.
Keeps apprised of higher education regulations and requirements, and developments via statewide community college meetings, conferences, and seminars, and other professional development avenues.
Partners with facility management to provide updated and safe learning environments.
Manages the designated area(s) budget to include grants, professional development, and over all purchasing needs.
Manages materials and supplies; works with faculty and administrative assistants to assess needs, sourcing, and price determination. Facilitates the requisition and purchase order process.
Oversees assigned program area for accreditation and works with local school districts and the Iowa Department of Education regarding requirements for accreditation.
Attends HCC meetings to discuss and resolve college issues, and/or concerns.

Job Summary
Hawkeye Community College’s Athletics program is looking for a part-time Men’s and Women’s Assistant Track & Field / Cross Country Coach to join their team.
The Assistant Cross Country/Track & Field Coach assists with the supervision and coaching of practices and competitions with an emphasis on cross country and distance events. This position will aid in recruiting student athletes, directing practices, managing practice and travel schedules, as well as, supervising team conduct during competition, travel, tournaments, and other events where the team is represented. Furthermore, this position participates in the planning, organizing, and execution of preseason and season practices in addition to fostering a positive team atmosphere and supporting student athletes’ academic progress, retention, and graduation through mentoring activities and guidance to appropriate support services. Due to the nature of the work involved in coaching; many weeks will entail morning, evening, and weekend hours. Needs of the department varies and the percent of time devoted to each part of the job will be governed by seasonal and immediate needs of the department.
In 2015, Hawkeye Community College launched its first ever intercollegiate sport program and has since accumulated 15 athletic programs to include: sports shooting, men & women’s soccer, men and women’s cross country, men & women’s track and field, men & women’s golf, women's volleyball, esports, competitive dance, women’s softball (new in 2023) and men & women’s bowling. Job Summary
Hawkeye Community College’s Athletics program is looking for a part-time Men’s and Women’s Assistant Track & Field / Cross Country Coach to join their team.
The Assistant Cross Country/Track & Field Coach assists with the supervision and coaching of practices and competitions with an emphasis on cross country and distance events. This position will aid in recruiting student athletes, directing practices, managing practice and travel schedules, as well as, supervising team conduct during competition, travel, tournaments, and other events where the team is represented. Furthermore, this position participates in the planning, organizing, and execution of preseason and season practices in addition to fostering a positive team atmosphere and supporting student athletes’ academic progress, retention, and graduation through mentoring activities and guidance to appropriate support services. Due to the nature of the work involved in coaching; many weeks will entail morning, evening, and weekend hours. Needs of the department varies and the percent of time devoted to each part of the job will be governed by seasonal and immediate needs of the department.
In 2015, Hawkeye Community College launched its first ever intercollegiate sport program and has since accumulated 15 athletic programs to include: sports shooting, men & women’s soccer, men and women’s cross country, men & women’s track and field, men & women’s golf, women's volleyball, esports, competitive dance, women’s softball (new in 2023) and men & women’s bowling. The Hawkeye RedTail Athletic Programs compete within the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) and the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) as Division II when applicable.

Work is in a combination of indoor and outdoor environments. Outdoor environments may become susceptible to inclement weather conditions. What makes this role unique?
As our first point of contact, you will manage the front lobby area and our main Ecology phone line, responding to general inquiries from the public in both English and Spanish, government agencies and staff, both in person and over the phone so you will need to be able to multi-task while maintaining a high level of professionalism. Access the calendar and schedule time.
Schedule conference rooms.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Years of required experience indicated below are full-time equivalent years. Full-time equivalent experience means that any experience where working hours were less than 40 hours per week will be prorated in order to meet the equivalency of full-time. We would calculate this by looking at the total hours worked per week, divide this by 40, and then multiply by the total number of months worked. Examples of the proration calculations are:
30 hours worked per week for 20 months: (30/40) x 20 months = 15 months full-time equivalent
20 hours worked per week for 12 months: (20/40) x 12 months = 6 months full-time equivalent

Duties
What makes this role unique?
As our first point of contact, you will manage the front lobby area and our main Ecology phone line, responding to general inquiries from the public in both English and Spanish, government agencies and staff, both in person and over the phone so you will need to be able to multi-task while maintaining a high level of professionalism. You will engage with Ecology’s ten environmental programs and make determinations on directing inquiries. You’ll be responsible for coordinating emergency personnel (i.e. fire, police and medical) that come to the building in response to an emergency, serving as the first line of security for the Central Region Office. What you will do:
Use a multi-functional telephone with five incoming lines.
Process outgoing and incoming mail.
Direct customers to appropriate staff for assistance, handling multiple forms of communication simultaneously, and providing courteous customer service.
Use agency standard computer and computer software to:
Create, maintain, and print documents.
Access information on the web page.
Communicate through electronic mail.
Access the calendar and schedule time.
Schedule conference rooms.
Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with co-workers, agency staff, private sector and other government agencies. Maintain effective working relationships.
Participate in group processes and on teams.
Provide positive, accurate and pleasant customer service to external clients.
Take accurate messages and forward messages to the appropriate personnel.
Perform clerical support duties including but not limited to creating emails, typing letters, making copies, and scheduling meetings for the Region’s Business Administrator and other staff.
Research and produce copies of well logs for customers.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Years of required experience indicated below are full-time equivalent years. Full-time equivalent experience means that any experience where working hours were less than 40 hours per week will be prorated in order to meet the equivalency of full-time. We would calculate this by looking at the total hours worked per week, divide this by 40, and then multiply by the total number of months worked. Examples of the proration calculations are:
30 hours worked per week for 20 months: (30/40) x 20 months = 15 months full-time equivalent
20 hours worked per week for 12 months: (20/40) x 12 months = 6 months full-time equivalent
Experience for both required and desired qualifications can be gained through various combinations of formal professional employment, education, and volunteer experience. The program has 25+ student-athletes each year that compete primarily in pom, hip-hop, and jazz. The dance team competes in local competitions, showcases, and the Iowa State Dance Championship. The team also travels to Orlando, Florida each year to compete at the UDA College National Championship.
The Assistant Dance Coach assists with the supervision and coaching of practices and competitions addition to fostering a positive team atmosphere and supporting student athletes’ academic progress, retention, and graduation through mentoring activities and guidance to appropriate support services. This position will aid in recruiting students, managing practice and travel schedules, and supervising team conduct during competition, travel, tournaments, and other events where the team is represented. Job Purpose:
The University of Wyoming is hiring a second mental health provider to our student-athletes. This position will deliver clinical services to the student-athlete population (approximately 400 student-athletes). Job responsibilities include conducting individual mental health counseling and mental performance support, group and team supports, consultation and training to coaches, sports medicine staff and other athletic department staff; participating on interdisciplinary teams, collaborating with athletic administration in the creation of prevention programming and serving on various departmental/campus committees/working groups. The position will report to the Director of Student-Athlete Well-being. The successful candidate will be a person of integrity with high ethical standards and who will exhibit a strict adherence to NCAA, MWC, University, and departmental rules regulations. We especially invite diverse applicants and those who have experience working with diverse, underrepresented, and intersecting identities and backgrounds.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Providing and coordinating a high level of counseling, crisis support, and care to student- athletes who seek well-being and mental performance assistance.
Compliance with HIPPA, state/federal laws, and professional ethical standards of mental health care.
Providing evidence-based, trauma and culturally informed, short-term counseling support for student-athletes.
Support teams with a portfolio as a liaison. Duties include attending practices, competitions and student-athlete related meetings and activities when appropriate, provide presentations and workshops as needed for teams across areas of mental health, team-building, leadership, and performance enhancement.
Collaboration with the Primary Care Physician/Medical Director, sports medicine staff, registered dieticians, coaches, athletic staff, Title IX Office, Student Affairs and other allied healthcare professions to support student-athletes;
Supervising assigned interns or graduate assistants (when licensed/applicable); Performing other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor; and
Ability to work early mornings, late evenings and weekends (when necessary).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or a related field. Post-degree individuals in need of supervised experience towards licensure will be considered. Job Purpose:
The University of Wyoming is hiring a second mental health provider to our student-athletes. This position will deliver clinical services to the student-athlete population (approximately 400 student-athletes). Job responsibilities include conducting individual mental health counseling and mental performance support, group and team supports, consultation and training to coaches, sports medicine staff and other athletic department staff; participating on interdisciplinary teams, collaborating with athletic administration in the creation of prevention programming and serving on various departmental/campus committees/working groups. The position will report to the Director of Student-Athlete Well-being. The successful candidate will be a person of integrity with high ethical standards and who will exhibit a strict adherence to NCAA, MWC, University, and departmental rules regulations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Providing and coordinating a high level of counseling, crisis support, and care to student- athletes who seek well-being and mental performance assistance.
Compliance with HIPPA, state/federal laws, and professional ethical standards of mental health care.
Providing evidence-based, trauma and culturally informed, short-term counseling support for student-athletes.
Support teams with a portfolio as a liaison. Duties include attending practices, competitions and student-athlete related meetings and activities when appropriate, provide presentations and workshops as needed for teams across areas of mental health, team-building, leadership, and performance enhancement.
Collaboration with the Primary Care Physician/Medical Director, sports medicine staff, registered dieticians, coaches, athletic staff, Title IX Office, Student Affairs and other allied healthcare professions to support student-athletes;
Supervising assigned interns or graduate assistants (when licensed/applicable); Performing other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor; and
Ability to work early mornings, late evenings and weekends (when necessary).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or a related field. Post-degree individuals in need of supervised experience towards licensure will be considered. The athletics department will support steps towards licensure (e.g., fees with applications, requisite examinations).
Experience/interest in working with student-athletes, teams, and a fast-paced athletics environment. • Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record that is compliant with the University Official Vehicle Policy found at: http://www.uwyo.edu/auxserv/car-rental-services/official-vehicle-policy/ovp.pdf required. • Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills contributing to successful programming and advocacy initiatives.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Two years experience working with athletes (youth, amateur, collegiate, national, and/or professional).
Competence (experience, knowledge, skills) working with diverse populations, including BIPOC, AAPI, international students, LGBTQIA+, neurodiverse, ability status, and different faith backgrounds.
Large group experience including presentations, workshops, or group counseling.
Experience/interest with developing and implementing prevention and training programs. Our university currently implements Green Dot violence prevention, and Mental Health First Aid across campus. We have staff in athletics that are currently trained in both and provide support across campus.
Experience working with disordered eating and body image concerns (individual or group promotion/prevention).
Experience supporting survivors of sexual assault/abuse/violence including resourcing, treatment of trauma, advocacy, and coordination of care.
Experience in working with individuals experiencing addictions, including substance abuse prevention/intervention, harm reduction, and support.
Experience working with students with learning disabilities, executive functioning difficulties, and neurodevelopmental disorders.
