This position will primarily be responsible for expanding, diversifying, and strengthening CVPA’s donor base and pipeline, while cultivating existing donors, organizational partners, and foundations. They will work closely with the Executive Director, leadership team members, the board of directors, and development and executive staff at PennFuture, our C3 strategic partner, to secure funding for new and existing initiatives.
Specific Job Duties:

Develop an annual fundraising plan with evaluation metrics.

ABOUT THE POSITION
Our Director, Corporate and Foundation Partnerships will play an important role building external partnerships that position Making Waves to increase college and career opportunities and outcomes for underrepresented students in the Bay Area. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, you will be responsible for 1) leading the year-to-year strategy and execution of corporate partnerships, 2) managing a portfolio of institutional funders, 3) retaining, upgrading, and diversifying our base of corporate and foundation partners.

A competitive base salary range of $102,672-154,008 based on requisite work experience and performance during the interview process. We intend to hire a candidate who fully meets or exceeds the qualifications for this role, so we expect to offer a base salary in the top half of the salary band.
In line with our commitment to equity, fairness, and transparency, we do not negotiate salaries.
Signing bonus of 5% of base salary to be paid in two installments: 50% on the first eligible payroll and 50% within 6 months of the hire date.
51 total days off per fiscal year (a combination of company-paid holidays, vacation, sick, and personal time).

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Director, Corporate and Foundation Partnerships’ primary responsibilities include:
Corporate Partnerships Strategy and Execution
Craft and execute an overall annual and long-term vision for Corporate partnerships, including strategies and campaigns for retaining and upgrading current donors, securing new donor investments, and strengthening pathways for Making Waves Academy and college students to pursue postsecondary opportunities
Conduct regular analysis of quantitative and qualitative data to inform ongoing priorities and adjust course where needed in order to ultimately meet ambitious annual goals aligned with organization OKRs and strategic plan
Funder Cultivation and Stewardship
Source, cultivate, and steward a portfolio of high-capacity corporations and foundations by developing and executing tailored cultivation and engagement plans
Develop and maintain fluency in Making Waves Education Foundation and Making Waves Academy programs and operations
Strategically leverage the CEO, Chief Development Officer, board members, and other senior leaders to steward and engage donors, including preparing these individuals for successful funder interactions
Compose tailored grant narratives, pitches, and employee engagement opportunities for high-stakes corporate and foundation donors, including reports, proposals, and donor correspondence
Collaborate with Making Waves Academy team to cultivate/steward current and prospective corporate and foundation funders
Maintain up-to-date donor records for relationships to ensure accuracy of account information, interaction history, and proposal/report submissions
Assess Bay Area corporate and foundation philanthropy landscape through research and prospecting databases, identifying and qualifying new and lapsed funders for outreach and cultivation efforts
Contribute to important cross-functional projects

ABOUT THE POSITION
Our Director, Corporate and Foundation Partnerships will play an important role building external partnerships that position Making Waves to increase college and career opportunities and outcomes for underrepresented students in the Bay Area. RESPONSIBILITIES
The Director, Corporate and Foundation Partnerships’ primary responsibilities include:
Corporate Partnerships Strategy and Execution
Craft and execute an overall annual and long-term vision for Corporate partnerships, including strategies and campaigns for retaining and upgrading current donors, securing new donor investments, and strengthening pathways for Making Waves Academy and college students to pursue postsecondary opportunities
Conduct regular analysis of quantitative and qualitative data to inform ongoing priorities and adjust course where needed in order to ultimately meet ambitious annual goals aligned with organization OKRs and strategic plan
Funder Cultivation and Stewardship
Source, cultivate, and steward a portfolio of high-capacity corporations and foundations by developing and executing tailored cultivation and engagement plans
Develop and maintain fluency in Making Waves Education Foundation and Making Waves Academy programs and operations
Strategically leverage the CEO, Chief Development Officer, board members, and other senior leaders to steward and engage donors, including preparing these individuals for successful funder interactions
Compose tailored grant narratives, pitches, and employee engagement opportunities for high-stakes corporate and foundation donors, including reports, proposals, and donor correspondence
Collaborate with Making Waves Academy team to cultivate/steward current and prospective corporate and foundation funders
Maintain up-to-date donor records for relationships to ensure accuracy of account information, interaction history, and proposal/report submissions
Assess Bay Area corporate and foundation philanthropy landscape through research and prospecting databases, identifying and qualifying new and lapsed funders for outreach and cultivation efforts
Contribute to important cross-functional projects

For more than 50 years, LCV has grown into a potent political force for protecting our planet and everyone who inhabits it. We have built a powerful national movement with 30+ state affiliates, and grassroots and community organizing programs across the country.
LCV is hiring a Director of Development Partnerships focused on major donor engagement in the New England and upstate New York regions, who will be a part of a fundraising team with ambitious revenue and program goals. The Development department’s fundraising program engages major donors for the LCV family of organizations including LCV, LCV Action Fund, LCV Victory Fund, and LCV Education Fund, and raises money for political candidates through our GiveGreen program.
The Director of Development Partnerships joins an extremely skilled, hard-working and growing development team, which is building the budget, power, and effectiveness of our family of organizations. This position is responsible for raising funds from individual and small foundation donors at four-, five-, and six-figure levels. Responsibilities include strategically identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors. The Director of Development Partnerships will cultivate and solicit donors on their own and support the work of key senior staff and board members in their respective regions. Qualified candidates will have significant experience with methods and approaches to major gifts fundraising that encourages philanthropic involvement among communities of color.
Responsibilities:
Manage and develop a portfolio of up to 120 current, lapsed and prospective donors across the region, deepening relationships in person or virtually, over the phone, and in writing.
Work with the Director of Prospect Research and Portfolio Management to expand the Major Gifts portfolio of prospective donors to include more people of color; broaden our current methods of identifying, cultivating and soliciting such donors.
Educate our current and prospective donors about the racial justice and equity work that is central and core to all the work we do at LCV to confront the inextricably linked climate and democracy crises.
Hold at least 85 visits annually with donors and prospects in the region, renewing and upgrading gifts from current donors and soliciting gifts from new donors. Varying degrees of coordination and collaboration with state affiliates in the region is required. To that end, the Director must be oriented toward and motivated by nurturing and growing these relationships.
Develop and support cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies for LCV’s President and other key staff and board members.
Recruit donors and prospects to a variety of LCV fundraising and cultivation events, playing a key role in meeting the event and engagement objectives and key results for the Major Gifts team.
Contribute to organizational and department efforts to infuse racial justice and equity into all aspects of our work, including our fundraising as well as service on committees or working groups.
Write persuasive and personalized emails, letters and proposals to donors and prospects including in depth descriptions of our programs and role in environmental advocacy and politics, ensuring racial justice and equity is centered in our messaging.
Participate in high-level planning to help set both fundraising and programmatic goals.
Work collaboratively with development, communications, and program staff, along with state partners, to develop compelling materials and talking points to maximize fundraising results, while maintaining our commitment to organizational values of racial justice and equity.
Engage donors as advocates by recruiting them to join program calls and meetings and encouraging their own lobbying on priority environmental issues.

Qualifications:
Work Experience : Required – 4 years of experience in fundraising, including a successful track record of personally meeting with donors and closing five- and six-figure gifts. Significant experience directly qualifying, cultivating and soliciting major gifts prospects, including developing solicitation strategy from identification through stewardship. Significant experience contacting prospects and holding 10 donor visits per month. A deep understanding of and experience talking with donors, peers, colleagues and other stakeholders about the critical importance of diversity, equity and inclusion. The Development and Corporate Partnerships team is focused on building partnerships and raising the funds necessary for Civic Nation and its initiatives to carry out its ambitious plans. Through a variety of tools and resources, the Development team engages in conversation and raises funds from foundations, individuals, and corporations to support our ongoing efforts. The Corporate Partnerships team is responsible for developing impact-generating partnerships and supporting fundraising efforts through corporate partnerships. This team is crucial not only to the success of the organization, but also to the larger culture shift of how business and philanthropy can use their influence for good.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy
Oversee and expand upon Civic Nation’s fundraising and corporate partnerships strategies focused on individual, corporate, and institutional major donors that fosters long-term sustainability and takes advantage of current trends and opportunities to enhance organizational impact.
Create new strategies to expand and diversify the organization’s revenue generating partnerships, leveraging key leaders on our Board and executive and senior leadership.
Oversee the implementation of regular donor communications and engagement activities, including donor events and briefings.
Management & Operations
Manage, supervise, and support the Development & Corporate Partnerships staff in close collaboration with the Development Director and Director of Corporate Partnerships.
Partner with the CEO on all aspects of fundraising activities and responsibilities, and work closely with Chief Strategy Officer, Chief Finance Officer, and other members of the executive and senior leadership to ensure alignment between organization-wide goals and the team’s priorities.
Ensure strong cultivation and stewardship of current and prospective major individual and institutional donors across the organization, and grow, maintain and manage a personal portfolio of relationships with major donors and corporate partners.
Review and improve fundraising messaging and materials.
Liaise with key staff to ensure grant compliance.

YOUR EXPERIENCE
12+ years’ experience in fundraising and partnerships.
7+ years of supervisory and/or senior management experience
Demonstrated success in leading fundraising strategy and managing a high performing fundraising team.
Proven experience managing executive or other high level relationships with major donors, companies, and foundations and personally cultivating, soliciting, and closing major gifts and grants.

SALARY AND BENEFITS
The Washington, DC-based salary range for this position is $155,000 - $200,000 (will be adjusted for cost of labor for the incumbent's work location) annually, commensurate with experience. Position:
Generation Hope is seeking a Director of Communications to develop and lead our overarching communications strategy to enhance Generation Hope’s visibility nationally, regionally, and locally by effectively conveying our mission, programs, and impact to various stakeholders, including student parents, donors, partner organizations, policymakers, and the broader field of higher education. The Director will also drive efforts to enhance Generation Hope’s thought leadership profile through traditional earned media efforts and content development via our own channels. Working closely with the Communications Manager, Digital Marketing Specialist, Communications Coordinator, and our public relations firm, the Director will broaden awareness of Generation Hope’s impact, expertise, and family-centered approach; elevate the voice of Generation Hope and its senior leaders as subject matter experts; and ensure the voices of families are uplifted, honored, and heard. The ideal candidate is an exceptional communicator with a proven track record in large scale, national scope, mission-driven, and social impact environments. RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy & Evaluation
Develop and implement an annual, multi-faceted communications strategy that builds and maintains a positive organizational brand and supports Generation Hope’s strategic goals and priorities
Ensure consistent and compelling branding across all communication materials, including websites, video, organic and paid social media, print materials, collateral, slide decks, and press releases. Protect and enhance the organization's reputation through effective brand management.
Create and deploy a guide for the organization that details consistent language and terms and work with the Race Equity Working Group to ensure that our language is inclusive and reflects our race equity commitment
Monitor and analyze audience engagement both digitally and through conversion rates, using data to make informed decisions and to strengthen, improve, and evaluate communications strategies
Lead the assessment of current internal and external communications and media practices, systems, and processes and the design and execution of new practices, systems, and processes. Develop and track communications performance metrics on a quarterly basis.
Develop and manage an organizational crisis communications plan to ensure best practices in brand protection and management.
Create and manage systems for ensuring consistent and on-brand communications across all direct-service sites
Evaluate the organization’s current website assets and needs and lead a website redevelopment project to guide the organization’s future online presence
Storytelling
Ensure the Communications team is creating engaging and impactful content for various platforms and collaborate with other departments to gather content and success stories
Work with PR firm to deploy consistent, timely, and strategic press and media relations efforts that are aligned with the annual communications plan and build long-term relationships with key press (emphasizing economic mobility, higher ed, family, student parents, early childhood, race equity, advocacy)
In partnership with our public relations firm, develop press kits, timelines, and fact sheets for internal and external stakeholders
Ensure the organization's website is up to date with fresh content, reflecting the latest initiatives and developments. Optimize website content for search engine visibility and user experience.
Collaborate with the Development team to create compelling campaigns and donor communication materials, including the annual report, to convey the impact of donations and appreciate supporters
Partner with the Programming team to amplify student parent voices and share strengths-based stories about their persistence and success through digital and print media and support recruitment efforts
Support the Learning & Innovation team by developing and refining technical assistance and FamilyU materials for marketing and programmatic use
Work with the Policy & Research team to respond quickly to legislative shifts that could impact student parents and families by assisting with drafting official statements, talking points, briefs, op-eds, etc., and by pursuing relevant media opportunities
Collaborate with the Operations team to position Generation Hope as a nationally-celebrated workplace
Play a key role in rolling out Generation Hope research and reports and lead efforts to disseminate findings, including through website downloads
With the Communications Manager and Communications Coordinator, review talking points, remarks, presentations, and other supporting material for Generation Hope CEO and staff, as needed
Oversee processes to effectively capture programming and impact by engaging photographers, videographers, and other vendors, as necessary
Provide hands-on crisis communications support and counsel across Generation Hope, as needed
Management
Oversee the Communications team, directly supervising the Communications Manager and supporting their supervision of the Digital Marketing Specialist, the Communications Coordinator, and other team members as we continue to grow the team. Provide ongoing coaching and development and promote a culture of high performance, accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
Oversee the creation of timelines for all communications projects and establish accountability systems for the completion of major tasks
Work closely with our Development team to ensure strong partnership with funders and supporters. Act as an effective steward of program-restricted resources by managing and monitoring the Communications budget.
Serve as a member of Generation Hope’s Leadership Team.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

TRAVEL

Position:
Generation Hope is seeking a Director of Communications to develop and lead our overarching communications strategy to enhance Generation Hope’s visibility nationally, regionally, and locally by effectively conveying our mission, programs, and impact to various stakeholders, including student parents, donors, partner organizations, policymakers, and the broader field of higher education. The Director will also drive efforts to enhance Generation Hope’s thought leadership profile through traditional earned media efforts and content development via our own channels. Working closely with the Communications Manager, Digital Marketing Specialist, Communications Coordinator, and our public relations firm, the Director will broaden awareness of Generation Hope’s impact, expertise, and family-centered approach; elevate the voice of Generation Hope and its senior leaders as subject matter experts; and ensure the voices of families are uplifted, honored, and heard. Create and deploy a guide for the organization that details consistent language and terms and work with the Race Equity Working Group to ensure that our language is inclusive and reflects our race equity commitment
Monitor and analyze audience engagement both digitally and through conversion rates, using data to make informed decisions and to strengthen, improve, and evaluate communications strategies
Lead the assessment of current internal and external communications and media practices, systems, and processes and the design and execution of new practices, systems, and processes. Develop and track communications performance metrics on a quarterly basis.
Develop and manage an organizational crisis communications plan to ensure best practices in brand protection and management.
Create and manage systems for ensuring consistent and on-brand communications across all direct-service sites
Evaluate the organization’s current website assets and needs and lead a website redevelopment project to guide the organization’s future online presence
Storytelling
Ensure the Communications team is creating engaging and impactful content for various platforms and collaborate with other departments to gather content and success stories
Work with PR firm to deploy consistent, timely, and strategic press and media relations efforts that are aligned with the annual communications plan and build long-term relationships with key press (emphasizing economic mobility, higher ed, family, student parents, early childhood, race equity, advocacy)
In partnership with our public relations firm, develop press kits, timelines, and fact sheets for internal and external stakeholders
Ensure the organization's website is up to date with fresh content, reflecting the latest initiatives and developments. Optimize website content for search engine visibility and user experience.
Collaborate with the Development team to create compelling campaigns and donor communication materials, including the annual report, to convey the impact of donations and appreciate supporters
Partner with the Programming team to amplify student parent voices and share strengths-based stories about their persistence and success through digital and print media and support recruitment efforts
Support the Learning & Innovation team by developing and refining technical assistance and FamilyU materials for marketing and programmatic use
Work with the Policy & Research team to respond quickly to legislative shifts that could impact student parents and families by assisting with drafting official statements, talking points, briefs, op-eds, etc., and by pursuing relevant media opportunities
Collaborate with the Operations team to position Generation Hope as a nationally-celebrated workplace
Play a key role in rolling out Generation Hope research and reports and lead efforts to disseminate findings, including through website downloads
With the Communications Manager and Communications Coordinator, review talking points, remarks, presentations, and other supporting material for Generation Hope CEO and staff, as needed
Oversee processes to effectively capture programming and impact by engaging photographers, videographers, and other vendors, as necessary
Provide hands-on crisis communications support and counsel across Generation Hope, as needed
Management
Oversee the Communications team, directly supervising the Communications Manager and supporting their supervision of the Digital Marketing Specialist, the Communications Coordinator, and other team members as we continue to grow the team. Provide ongoing coaching and development and promote a culture of high performance, accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
Oversee the creation of timelines for all communications projects and establish accountability systems for the completion of major tasks
Work closely with our Development team to ensure strong partnership with funders and supporters. Act as an effective steward of program-restricted resources by managing and monitoring the Communications budget.

ABOUT THE POSITION
The Communications Director will advance two critical areas of work for BEA:
They will develop systems and tools, and facilitate processes that build BEA’s internal and external communications capabilities and infrastructure (e.g. website development, brand guidelines, newsletters, etc). We anticipate that significant time (70%-80%) in the Director’s first year will be dedicated to this area.
They will develop and implement BEA’s communications strategy in alignment with our overall strategic priorities: building the capacity of current and future environmental justice leaders and champions, and making the case for grassroots-centered policies and funding. As part of this effort, we expect that the Director will spearhead communications that amplify our members’ and grantees’ successes and solutions.
The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and Spanish. They can effectively tell the story of grassroots and frontline efforts and are knowledgeable about environmental and climate justice issues. The Director is a sophisticated communications professional who enjoys executing on a broad range of communications activities and is demonstrably skilled at engaging diverse audiences. They have previous experience working as a solo communications practitioner within an organization and enjoy working in small teams. The most competitive candidates have a strong eye for strategic vision and a deep understanding of the communications building blocks to make that vision a reality.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Identify and implement necessary tools, processes, and practices to streamline internal, member-facing, and external communications processes.
Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy that is aligned to BEA’s overall mission, values, and strategic plan. Identify key audiences, goals, and metrics to ensure BEA’s communications strategy effectively enhances our reach and impact.
Draft compelling content including articles, op-eds, blog posts, social media posts, newsletters, talking points, earned media pitches, and press releases adapting voice and tone to appropriate platform and audience.

The ideal candidate will have most of the following professional experience and skills:

ABOUT THE POSITION
The Communications Director will advance two critical areas of work for BEA:
They will develop systems and tools, and facilitate processes that build BEA’s internal and external communications capabilities and infrastructure (e.g. website development, brand guidelines, newsletters, etc). We anticipate that significant time (70%-80%) in the Director’s first year will be dedicated to this area.
They will develop and implement BEA’s communications strategy in alignment with our overall strategic priorities: building the capacity of current and future environmental justice leaders and champions, and making the case for grassroots-centered policies and funding. As part of this effort, we expect that the Director will spearhead communications that amplify our members’ and grantees’ successes and solutions.
The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and Spanish. They can effectively tell the story of grassroots and frontline efforts and are knowledgeable about environmental and climate justice issues. The Director is a sophisticated communications professional who enjoys executing on a broad range of communications activities and is demonstrably skilled at engaging diverse audiences. They have previous experience working as a solo communications practitioner within an organization and enjoy working in small teams. WHAT YOU’LL DO
Identify and implement necessary tools, processes, and practices to streamline internal, member-facing, and external communications processes.
Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy that is aligned to BEA’s overall mission, values, and strategic plan. Identify key audiences, goals, and metrics to ensure BEA’s communications strategy effectively enhances our reach and impact.
Draft compelling content including articles, op-eds, blog posts, social media posts, newsletters, talking points, earned media pitches, and press releases adapting voice and tone to appropriate platform and audience.
Collaborate with BEA team members on content development and provide editorial oversight and guidance.
Create and manage a comprehensive editorial calendar integrating all platforms to ensure timely and effective messaging.
Manage all communications channels, including website, social media, email lists, e-blast schedule.
Engage grantees and partners to develop stories and data that highlight their work and document successes.
Lead the implementation strategy for the ongoing rebranding effort, including website redesign, ensuring accessibility needs are centered.
Act as an effective spokesperson for BEA.
Oversee communications consultants as needed.
Actively participate in BEA’s work to integrate justice and equity into all facets of BEA.
ABOUT YOU
The ideal candidate will have most of the following professional experience and skills:

LCV is hiring a Director of Development Partnerships focused on major donor engagement in the West Coast region, who will be a part of a fundraising team with ambitious revenue and program goals. The Development department’s fundraising program engages major donors for the LCV family of organizations including LCV, LCV Action Fund, LCV Victory Fund, and LCV Education Fund, and raises money for political candidates through our GiveGreen program.
The Director of Development Partnerships joins an extremely skilled, hard-working and growing development team, which is building the budget, power, and effectiveness of our family of organizations. This position is responsible for raising funds from individual and small foundation donors at four-, five-, and six-figure levels. Responsibilities include strategically identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors. The Director of Development Partnerships will cultivate and solicit donors on their own and support the work of key senior staff and board members in their respective regions. Qualified candidates will have significant experience with methods and approaches to major gifts fundraising that encourages philanthropic involvement among communities of color.
Responsibilities:
Manage and develop a portfolio of up to 120 current, lapsed and prospective donors across the region, deepening relationships in person or virtually, over the phone, and in writing.
Work with the Director of Prospect Research and Portfolio Management to expand the Major Gifts portfolio of prospective donors to include more people of color; broaden our current methods of identifying, cultivating and soliciting such donors.
Educate our current and prospective donors about the racial justice and equity work that is central and core to all the work we do at LCV to confront the inextricably linked climate and democracy crises.
Hold at least 85 visits with donors and prospects in the region, renewing and upgrading gifts from current donors and soliciting gifts from new donors. Develop and support cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies for LCV’s President and other key staff and board members.

The Director of Development Partnerships joins an extremely skilled, hard-working and growing development team, which is building the budget, power, and effectiveness of our family of organizations. This position is responsible for raising funds from individual and small foundation donors at four-, five-, and six-figure levels. Responsibilities include strategically identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors. The Director of Development Partnerships will cultivate and solicit donors on their own and support the work of key senior staff and board members in their respective regions. Qualified candidates will have significant experience with methods and approaches to major gifts fundraising that encourages philanthropic involvement among communities of color.
Responsibilities:
Manage and develop a portfolio of up to 120 current, lapsed and prospective donors across the region, deepening relationships in person or virtually, over the phone, and in writing.
Work with the Director of Prospect Research and Portfolio Management to expand the Major Gifts portfolio of prospective donors to include more people of color; broaden our current methods of identifying, cultivating and soliciting such donors.
Educate our current and prospective donors about the racial justice and equity work that is central and core to all the work we do at LCV to confront the inextricably linked climate and democracy crises.
Hold at least 85 visits with donors and prospects in the region, renewing and upgrading gifts from current donors and soliciting gifts from new donors. Qualifications:

Building Equity and Alignment for Environmental Justice (BEA)’s mission is to foster authentic cross-sector relationships to advance the progress of the environmental movement towards a just transition. ABOUT THE POSITION
The Communications Director will advance two critical areas of work for BEA:
They will develop systems and tools, and facilitate processes that build BEA’s internal and external communications capabilities and infrastructure (e.g. website development, brand guidelines, newsletters, etc). We anticipate that significant time (70%-80%) in the Director’s first year will be dedicated to this area.

Building Equity and Alignment for Environmental Justice (BEA)’s mission is to foster authentic cross-sector relationships to advance the progress of the environmental movement towards a just transition. We shift power and resources from institutions to grassroots leadership to transform the environmental movement. ABOUT THE POSITION
The Communications Director will advance two critical areas of work for BEA:
They will develop systems and tools, and facilitate processes that build BEA’s internal and external communications capabilities and infrastructure (e.g. website development, brand guidelines, newsletters, etc). We anticipate that significant time (70%-80%) in the Director’s first year will be dedicated to this area.
They will develop and implement BEA’s communications strategy in alignment with our overall strategic priorities: building the capacity of current and future environmental justice leaders and champions, and making the case for grassroots-centered policies and funding. As part of this effort, we expect that the Director will spearhead communications that amplify our members’ and grantees’ successes and solutions.
The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and Spanish. They can effectively tell the story of grassroots and frontline efforts and are knowledgeable about environmental and climate justice issues. The Director is a sophisticated communications professional who enjoys executing on a broad range of communications activities and is demonstrably skilled at engaging diverse audiences. They have previous experience working as a solo communications practitioner within an organization and enjoy working in small teams. The most competitive candidates have a strong eye for strategic vision and a deep understanding of the communications building blocks to make that vision a reality.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Identify and implement necessary tools, processes, and practices to streamline internal, member-facing, and external communications processes.
Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy that is aligned to BEA’s overall mission, values, and strategic plan. Identify key audiences, goals, and metrics to ensure BEA’s communications strategy effectively enhances our reach and impact.
Draft compelling content including articles, op-eds, blog posts, social media posts, newsletters, talking points, earned media pitches, and press releases adapting voice and tone to appropriate platform and audience.

The ideal candidate will have most of the following professional experience and skills:
