Job Description

The Oregon Health Authority has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Systems Analyst to join an excellent team, support vital IT Projects and work to advance their IT operations. 

 

This position is under the classification Information Systems Specialist 6.

 

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO!

As a Systems Analyst, you will analyze, plan, develop, integrate, implement and coordinate projects and activities that support operations, maintenance, installation and construction of information systems.

 

In this role, you will be assigned work in terms of program and project objectives, priorities and timelines. You will consult with your supervisor to resolve policy questions and problems in coordinating activities with other programs. Your work will typically be subject to technical and administrative control and reviewed based on program or project accomplishments and adherence to policies, directives and desired results.

 

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • (a) Five (5) years of information systems experience in Client-Server and/or Web-Based Applications. OR (b) An Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, OR completion of a two (2) year accredited vocational training program in information technology or a related field; AND Three (3) years of information systems experience in Client-Server and/or Web-Based Applications. OR (c) A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; AND One (1) year of information systems experience in Client-Server and/or Web-Based Applications. OR (d) A Master’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience managing or coordinating IT Projects.
  • Ability to identify and resolve system performance problems.
  • Ability to identify and resolve resource competition issues.
  • Experience developing formal training in infrastructure specialties.
  • Experience evaluating costs, specifications and organizational policies to recommend performance tuning. Experience analyzing and proposing system development tasks.
  • Team leadership and development experience.
  • Ability to identify, evaluate and recommend modifications or enhancements to systems and policies.
  • Experience providing guidance and technical expertise to lower-level staff.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining a work environment that is respectful and accepting of diversity among team members and the people we serve.
