Job Purpose
The Academic Advisor supports undergraduate students with all aspects of academic planning by promoting and encouraging self-authorship and resource utilization in support of academic success, as well as timely and informed pursuit of an academic major. This is accomplished through a one on one student-centered, individualized, technology-enhanced advising appointments, classroom instruction of EXPL 101, and the establishment of a relationship based on mutual trust with a diverse student population. Students meet with their academic advisor in a one-on-one and a classroom setting to explore their interests, discuss course options, consider majors, plan for the future, and address any academic concerns.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required in liberal arts discipline, counseling or related field and the ability to be certified to teach EXPL 101 if candidate does not have a Masters degree. Two years of professional workplace experience in higher education or related field in which applicant can convey relevant transferable skills. Knowledge and understanding of FERPA regulations and its application. Working knowledge and effective utilization of Microsoft Suite products and Zoom software. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.

Physical demands include sitting, walking within the office and around campus; navigating to, from and between buildings, classroom environments and stairways, particularly during New Student Orientation. Summary of the Field Staff/Case Manager Position:
After a patient is admitted into our program, they are assigned a Field Staff RN/Case Manager. The Field Staff RN that makes visits to the patient based on their plan of care and performs assessments throughout their time in our program. The Field Staff RN/Case Manager is responsible for assessing the patient/family/caregiver needs, planning for the care, implementing the Plan of Care, and evaluating the effectiveness of the care provided. As a member of the IDT, the Field Staff Registered Nurse/Case Manager oversees the direction and coordination of a patient’s care throughout their time in hospice.
We currently have an open position for Northern Territory Field Staff RN Would provide service to patients in the following Illinois counties: Madison, Clinton, Bond, Macoupin, Montgomery, Jersey, and Calhoun.
Full-Time Non-Exempt Position
40 Hours Weekly, Monday-Friday 8:30 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. with an additional rotational on-call schedule that includes some evenings, weekends, and holidays. Typically for this position, as we have on-call nurses that work weekends and weeknights, the on-call would be limited. Holidays are rotated and divided up between the team.

Physical Requirements : Performs repetitive tasks. Physical tasks including bathing, transferring, lifting, and turning of patients in the home or home-like setting. Prolonged periods of sitting at times. Exerts up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 lbs. frequently and/or 20 lbs. constantly. Requires physical flexibility of bending at knee and squat-bend. The Staff Registered Nurse manages stress appropriately, makes decisions under pressure, handles multiple priorities, works with an Interdisciplinary Team and manages anger/fear/hostility/violence of other appropriately. This position requires clarity of vision >20 inches and <20 feet, hears alarms, telephone/tape recorder.
Working Conditions : The Staff Registered Nurse/Case Manager spends approximately 20% of his/her time in an air-conditioned environment with varying exposure to excessive humidity and noise. The remaining 80% of his/her time is spent in an automobile or patient home, which may or may not have heat/air conditioning. The position has potential for exposure to malodorous odors, infectious body fluids from patients, animal pet hair, allergens in the home environment, some exposure to noxious smells from cleansing agents, and exposure to communicable diseases and traffic.
Essential Functions of the Field Staff RN/Case Manager Position
Maintains a caseload of patients. Oversees the direction and coordination of the patient’s care and the care provided for their caregiver/family.
Provides direct patient care that includes all aspects of the nursing process, including participation of on-call after hours care.
Demonstrates basic registered nurse clinical skills. Gives a practical exhibition and explanation at the required annual skills day.
On each visit completes a physical assessment, medication review, and a symptom and pain evaluation. Communicates findings to the hospice physician and obtains orders to manage care.
Communicates pertinent information to all disciplines by communicator, telephone, TigerText, and at the IDT meeting.
Reviews and updates the Plan of Care (POC) on each visit.
Responsible for initiating the Hospice Aide (HA) POC and supervising visits at least every 14 days per Medicare regulation.
Knowledgeable in patterns of disease progression at end of life and provides ongoing patient/family/caregiver education.
Knowledgeable in principles of end of life pain and symptom management. Considers patient/family/caregiver stated values and goals when considering treatment options ensuring their patients are as pain-free and symptom-free as possible.
Identifies the physical, psychosocial, emotional, and spiritual needs related to the terminal illness. Collaborates with IDT to meet those needs.
Documents the elements of each assessment in a systematic and timely manner according to the Policies and Standards of Performance.
Oversees the activity of the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) as they provide patient care.
Participate in on-call after-hour care. In the on-call role, the Staff Registered Nurse/Case Manager triages calls and demonstrates critical thinking skills as they prioritize and address each situation.
In an emergency/crisis event, the Staff Registered Nurse/Case Manager demonstrates the ability to take control of a situation, understands and prioritizes care needs, and executes a plan quickly.
Provides emotional, spiritual, and psychosocial support to patients/family/caregivers. Establishes a therapeutic relationship with the patient/family/caregiver.
At the IDT meeting, at least every 15 days, the Staff Registered Nurse/Case Manager shares new information concerning the patient’s disease progression, discuss how to further improve the patient’s quality of life and comfort, and ensures that the care plan is consistent with the patient’s end of life core wishes.
Demonstrates the ability to work cooperatively with others in a team environment to ensure deadlines, goals, and objectives are met.
Demonstrates the ability to embrace change, manage stress and maintain a positive attitude.
Builds relationships and collaborates effectively with internal and external customers while cultivating referrals and referral sources. Identifies and analyzes problems in the referral/admission process and offers solutions for better customer service and satisfaction. Participates in QAPI activities.
Organized and works efficiently with minimal supervision. Is a self-starter who demonstrates flexibility, motivation, initiative, and commitment. Ensures required assigned education is finished in the specified time.

Physical Requirements : Performs repetitive tasks. Physical tasks including bathing, transferring, lifting, and turning of patients in the home or home-like setting. Requires physical flexibility of bending at knee and squat-bend. The Staff Registered Nurse manages stress appropriately, makes decisions under pressure, handles multiple priorities, works with an Interdisciplinary Team and manages anger/fear/hostility/violence of other appropriately. This position requires clarity of vision >20 inches and <20 feet, hears alarms, telephone/tape recorder.
Working Conditions : The Staff Registered Nurse/Case Manager spends approximately 20% of his/her time in an air-conditioned environment with varying exposure to excessive humidity and noise. The remaining 80% of his/her time is spent in an automobile or patient home, which may or may not have heat/air conditioning. The position has potential for exposure to malodorous odors, infectious body fluids from patients, animal pet hair, allergens in the home environment, some exposure to noxious smells from cleansing agents, and exposure to communicable diseases and traffic.
Essential Functions of the Field Staff RN/Case Manager Position
Maintains a caseload of patients. Oversees the direction and coordination of the patient’s care and the care provided for their caregiver/family.
Provides direct patient care that includes all aspects of the nursing process, including participation of on-call after hours care.
Demonstrates basic registered nurse clinical skills. Gives a practical exhibition and explanation at the required annual skills day.
On each visit completes a physical assessment, medication review, and a symptom and pain evaluation. Communicates findings to the hospice physician and obtains orders to manage care.
Communicates pertinent information to all disciplines by communicator, telephone, TigerText, and at the IDT meeting.
Reviews and updates the Plan of Care (POC) on each visit.
Responsible for initiating the Hospice Aide (HA) POC and supervising visits at least every 14 days per Medicare regulation.
Knowledgeable in patterns of disease progression at end of life and provides ongoing patient/family/caregiver education.
Knowledgeable in principles of end of life pain and symptom management. Considers patient/family/caregiver stated values and goals when considering treatment options ensuring their patients are as pain-free and symptom-free as possible.
Identifies the physical, psychosocial, emotional, and spiritual needs related to the terminal illness. Collaborates with IDT to meet those needs.
Documents the elements of each assessment in a systematic and timely manner according to the Policies and Standards of Performance.
Oversees the activity of the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) as they provide patient care.
Participate in on-call after-hour care. In the on-call role, the Staff Registered Nurse/Case Manager triages calls and demonstrates critical thinking skills as they prioritize and address each situation.
In an emergency/crisis event, the Staff Registered Nurse/Case Manager demonstrates the ability to take control of a situation, understands and prioritizes care needs, and executes a plan quickly.
Provides emotional, spiritual, and psychosocial support to patients/family/caregivers. Establishes a therapeutic relationship with the patient/family/caregiver.
At the IDT meeting, at least every 15 days, the Staff Registered Nurse/Case Manager shares new information concerning the patient’s disease progression, discuss how to further improve the patient’s quality of life and comfort, and ensures that the care plan is consistent with the patient’s end of life core wishes.
Demonstrates the ability to work cooperatively with others in a team environment to ensure deadlines, goals, and objectives are met.
Demonstrates the ability to embrace change, manage stress and maintain a positive attitude.
Builds relationships and collaborates effectively with internal and external customers while cultivating referrals and referral sources. Identifies and analyzes problems in the referral/admission process and offers solutions for better customer service and satisfaction. Participates in QAPI activities.
Organized and works efficiently with minimal supervision. Is a self-starter who demonstrates flexibility, motivation, initiative, and commitment. Ensures required assigned education is finished in the specified time.
Identifies and contributes to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve the work process.

Job Summary
Clark County Public Works is currently seeking an experienced Right of Way professional who loves working in a team environment to join our Real Property Services’ (RPS) team. We are looking for a professional with strong communication and interpersonal skills who can maintain a high level of intra-departmental teamwork and customer relations. As a Right of way Agent, you would perform technical work under the general supervision in a team environment and would be responsible for negotiating with property owners to acquire a wide range of property rights for public projects. You will be responsible for managing difficult and complex projects related to the acquisition of land and other real property rights including easements, leases, licenses, permits, operating agreements and other land management arrangements through the purchase, dedication, exchange and condemnation. In addition, this position would manage and dispose of surplus properties and property rights through leasing, surplus sales, and vacating roads. We are currently looking to fill this position as a Real Property Agent I, Real Property Agent II, or a Real Property Agent III depending on number applicants and qualifications. Preference is given to those professionals who have initiated or have obtained a designation with the IRWA International Right of Way Association. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply. What you would do:
Among the varied range of responsibilities held within this role, the right of way professional will perform the following:
Resolve complex and complicated land activities such as road vacations, surplus properties, tax foreclosures, identify and clearing encroachments and encumbrances from the right of way.
Prepare/coordinate legal documents necessary to complete transactions such as purchase sale agreements, leases, easements, deeds, licenses, permits interagency agreements, and Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
Recommend actions according to real estate processes, procedure, and law. Present and speak in front of County Council.
Negotiate and acquire private properties and land rights needed for public projects for various county departments. Contact property owners and negotiate for purchase, both permanent and temporary rights. Advise property owner(s) of their rights under all applicable laws and regulations, negotiates claims and/or settlements with owners. Perform all functions of the job by implementing practices under the Uniform Act and WSDOT guidelines.
Perform comprehensive research into property transactions such as deeds, contracts, easements, title searches, right of way restrictions, encumbrances, appraisals and value analysis, environmental impacts, interpret information and prepare findings in a written and presentation format.
Research and respond to routine inquiries by the public, other county departments, and outside agencies regarding right of way and various property in a timely manner.
Prepare valuation reports for partial acquisitions, easements, and permits for non-complex acquisitions in accordance with current federal, state and county laws, policies, and procedures.
Research public deed records and coordinate the release of unnecessary easements.
Salvage appraisal reports.

What you would do:
Among the varied range of responsibilities held within this role, the right of way professional will perform the following:

In this position you will:
Improve the end-to-end user experience within your assigned portfolio.
Create visual aids such as journey maps, service blueprints, and information architecture maps to illustrate the current and ideal service states.
Develop clear, concise, and engaging content for our products, including screens, text messages, notices, flyers, and other client-facing materials.
Measure the impact of service improvements, aligning them with stakeholder goals and user needs.
Establish interaction patterns, standards, and style guides to ensure design consistency across Code for America's programs and products.
Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and program teams to address design challenges effectively.
Coordinate with researchers to plan and conduct design research and usability tests to evaluate your designs.
Use common design methods to enhance clarity, foster connections, and deepen stakeholder understanding of the ecosystem, power dynamics, and service offerings within your designated areas.
Document proposed service improvements and communicate your insights to the team and government partners.
About you:
You have 4+ years of experience in content design and/or ux design or related disciplines.
Fluency in Spanish and experience designing content in Spanish
A portfolio of relevant work with strong examples of your work, your design process, and your role
Familiarity with common industry design and collaboration tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, Mural, Trello, Github, etc.
Familiarity with agile, iterative software development practices
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Able to manage multiple high-priority initiatives, including early-stage product strategy as well as delivery of tactical and incremental design improvements
Ability to collaborate and facilitate design discussion in a remote working environment

The Oregon Health Authority (OHA), Public Health Division (PHD), Oregon State Public Health Laboratory (OSPHL) in Hillsboro, Oregon is seeking a Specimen Receiving & Processing Technician (Medical Lab Technician 1) professionals to provide analytical and specialized testing support for infectious diseases and agents of public health interest in the Operations Section of the Public Health Laboratory.
The Oregon State Public Health Laboratory (OSPHL) plays a critical role in Oregon’s response to COVID-19 by providing timely testing for populations at risk of infection and in response to outbreaks.
This is a full-time, permanent, classified position and is represented by a union.
Responsibilities may include:
Performing specimen receiving, data entry, racking, and kit assembly and distribution.
Quality assurance and control activities.
Pre-analytical processing of clinical specimens
Receiving and processing test samples.
Preparing and shipping test collection kits.
Preparing and shipping infectious and diagnostic samples.
Entering data, reviewing reports, processing mail, and proofing and correcting data.
Monitoring and reviewing specimens and paperwork for clerical errors.
Documenting and entering data according to section protocols.

Minimum Qualifications: One year of "technical trainee" experience as a laboratory assistant in a clinical laboratory; OR completion of a certified clinical laboratory training program; OR a certificate or associate degree in an applied science from an accredited medical or clinical laboratory technician training program.
