Windows/VMWare System Administrator (#1397503)

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Windows/VMWare System Administrator to support our Huntsville, AL location.

The selected applicant will join a team of systems administrators striving to provide high availability, high reliability services in a structured, cyber-compliant environment. The infrastructure supports a government owned & operated missile defense lab in a robust configuration-managed environment. In addition to the systems life cycle operation, all team SAs contribute to the cyber documentation package, which covers the team's Approval To Operate (ATO). 

Duties Include:

• Installation, configuration, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Windows based servers and computers in fault tolerant, clustered and virtual implementations
• Provision and management of lab services including domain, group policy, active directory, data access, account management, DNS, and database servers. Perform monthly scans, patching, STIGing, and vulnerability remediation
• Day to day support operations for administering a clustered VMware ESXi virtual environment, Windows systems and services Host Based Security System (HBSS) implementation and lifestyle, including multifactor and RSA authentication
• Shared workstation and end user support for approximately 30 users Perform hardware installation, upgrades, replacement and maintenance
• Responsible for maintaining configuration management and RMF documentation Demonstrated self-starter, teaming skills, strong written and verbal communications

Required Skills/Experience:

• 5+ Years' experience as a System Administrator or similar role in Windows Environments
• Comply with configuration management and cyber requirements, in a disciplined approach to systems administration
• Disciplined experience in developing system documentation
• Travel: None
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

Education Requirements:

Certification Requirements: DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 Computing Environment (CE) Certification in a relevant Windows product is required and must be maintained. CompTIA Security+ Certification required and must be maintained. Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or Computer Science is desired.

Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with HBSS and MFA implementation
• Familiarity with cyber controls and implementation, previous RMF experience
• Prior SA experience in Tactical Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) environments
