The Oregon Health Authority (OHA), Public Health Division (PHD), Center for Health Statistics in Portland, OR is recruiting for an OVERS Administrative Specialist to provide daily administrative support for the Oregon Vital Events Registration System (OVERS) program and the Center for Health Statistics. Oregon law requires all vital events that occur in Oregon, such as births, marriages, divorces, and deaths to be recorded, registered, and filed with our office. The office is also responsible for certifying, amending, and issuing these vital event records.
What will you do?
As the OVERS Administrative Specialist, you will provide administrative support, user support for OVERS, and computer support in the center. You will coordinate data access agreements, technology contracts, system release testing and help desk processes. You will develop and maintain a data access agreement and technology contract tracking plan to track agreements and contracts, and maintain shared drive folders related to the contracts. In addition, you will collect agreement and contract workflow data and prepare reports.
In this position, you will answer and triage OVERS help desk calls by answering basic questions, resetting passwords and transferring calls to the appropriate party, as well as create and maintain OVERS user’s documentation and enrollment forms. You will establish and maintain procedures related to user enrollment for agency users and external data providers. In addition, you will interpret laws and rules while advising OVERS users on legal requirements and limitations for accessing vital records.
