The Oregon Health Authority (OHA), Public Health Division (PHD), Center for Public Health Practice (CPHP), COVID-19 Incident Response Section in Portland, OR is recruiting for three (3) temporary COVID-19 Senior Health Advisors to provide medical expertise and epidemiologic support with the public health planning and response efforts in support of the COVID-19 Incident Response.
What will you do?
As a COVID-19 Senior Health Advisor, you will provide information and support education regarding COVID-19 and its prevention, and public health preparedness to health professionals, partners, and the public. You will serve as part of a team of Senior Health Advisors to develop public health guidelines and communications in coordination with all Public Health Division offices and incident command sections and branches. You will collaborate with academic institutions, and public and community healthcare organizations to develop and improve understanding of COVID-19 epidemiology and preparedness, develop guidance documents in support of the response, provide guidance to healthcare professionals, and respond to questions from the public, stakeholders, and Oregon leadership which includes legislators, Governor Brown’s office, and congressional delegates.
