The Oregon Health Authority (OHA), Public Health Division (PHD), Acute and Communicable Disease Prevention (ACDP) Section in Portland, OR is recruiting for 30 limited-duration, full-time COVID-19 Epidemiologists to coordinate surveillance and conduct epidemiologic studies for the COVID-19 pandemic. We work with local health departments, other states, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to prevent and control communicable diseases and outbreaks of acute diseases in Oregon.

Minimum Requirements
The goal of this recruitment is to fill these positions at the Epidemiologist 2 level. However, we encourage candidates who meet the minimum qualifications for an Epidemiologist 1 to apply, as we are considering under-filling the position.
Epidemiologist 2 – Salary Range $4957 - $7259
A master's degree in public health or epidemiology or a related field AND three years of professional-level epidemiological or public health experience in communicable disease of which one year must have been in a clinical epidemiological capacity OR a bachelor's degree in public health or epidemiology or a related field AND four years of professional-level epidemiological or public health experience in communicable disease of which one year must have been in a clinical epidemiological capacity. (NOTE: Experience obtained while completing an academic program/degree is not considered professional-level experience for this position.)
Under-fill option: Epidemiologist 1 – Salary Range $4312 - $6294
A master’s degree in community health, public health, epidemiology, research or a closely-related field AND one year of professional-level epidemiologic, community health, or research analysis experience OR a bachelor's degree in community health, public health, epidemiology, or a closely-related field AND two years of professional-level epidemiologic or community health experience. (NOTE: Experience obtained while completing an academic program/degree is not considered professional-level experience for this position.)
