Deschutes County is accepting applications for a Public Health Management Analyst. This person reports to the Deschutes County Health Services Public Health Director. This person must function in a collaborative manner, work independently, and have appropriate time management and technical skills to meet numerous scheduled and urgent project deadlines. The Management Analyst will be responsible for analyzing data related to health behaviors and outcomes and identifying and implementing best-practices for communicating and influencing public health attitudes, beliefs and behaviors. Duties include identifying, compiling, reconciling, and analyzing data from both internal and external sources; conducting literature reviews and statistical analysis of behavior, economic, demographic, programmatic, policy, and health outcome data. The Management Analyst will also be responsible for providing clear, concise and easily understood summaries and reports of findings and recommendations in a narrative, visual and/or oral presentation format; serving as the Public Health lead for behavior change communication, strategies and tools; developing reporting capabilities and ensuring data quality and documentation is accurate and adequate; and assisting in the development of performance measurements. This position will also be responsible for providing contract management and oversight for a limited number community contracts and other duties as assigned.
