Reports to: Human Resources Director
Salary: $38,000-$45,000/year, generous benefits package
Start date: ASAP
Location: Madison, WI - currently working remotely until further notice

The Opportunity: The Democratic Party of Wisconsin is seeking an Operations Assistant. The Operations Assistant will serve as an essential part of the state operations team, working closely with the Senior Operations Director and Operations Director to support the overall goals of the Democratic part of Wisconsin. The ideal applicant works well in fast-paced environments, can effectively communicate within our team and across departments, and has organizing or operations experience. This position requires some flexible hours and eagerness to assist on any task. This is a termed position through November 15, 2020.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist with hiring process including recruitment, onboarding and offboarding
• Help with operational tasks such as budgeting and purchasing
• Assist the Accounts Payable and Receivable teams by monitoring and tracking invoices and contributions.
• Navigate confidential and sensitive employee information
• Assist in managing schedules of the HR Director, Operations Director, and Senior Operations Director.
• Assist the HR Team with benefits administration, employee information tracking, and other general HR administrative tasks.
• Support the operations/HR team with additional special projects as needed

Qualifications (Required):

• Ability to manage employee information sensitively and carefully.
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills, customer service attitude, and ability to communicate with people from many backgrounds
• Proficient in GSuite tools (drive, sheets, docs, slides)
• Flexible, adaptable, creative, and solutions-oriented
• Ability to manage details and stay on top of multiple tasks, large and small, at once
• Growth Mindset - ability to take and implement feedback.
• Relentlessly Goal Oriented - enjoys working toward and achieving ambitious goals. Keeps calm in stressful situations. Has the capacity and willingness to work long hours during peak season, rolling up their sleeves and getting the work done.

Qualifications (Preferred):

• Previous HR experience
• Previous administrative experience
