What makes this role unique?
As a Senior Underground Storage Tank (UST) Inspector, you will conduct UST system inspections following the Environmental Protections Agency's TC guidance and demonstrate an ability to apply sound professional judgment in identifying and resolving violations of UST regulations. UST Inspectors provide technical assistance and education on UST related topics for the Toxics Cleanup Program. They also act as regional contact for external customers and statewide contact for internal customers regarding UST regulations, forms, technical questions, and direct and coordinate with owners and operators of UST systems, UST service providers, local government agencies, and others on complex UST sites. You will also conduct Initial Investigations of potential releases of hazardous substances. Following the Initial Investigation, you will conduct Site Hazardous Assessments ranking the potential exposure risk posed by the hazardous substance. What you will do:
Conduct UST technical compliance, decommissioning, and installation inspections.
Promptly respond to UST complaints.
Conduct Initial Investigations under the provisions of MTCA of potential of a release or threatened release of a hazardous substance.
Conduct Site Hazardous Assessments involving ranking the potential exposure risk posed by a hazardous substance within a relative scoring system.
Issue the appropriate enforcement action(s) to responsible parties and resolve enforcement actions.
Provide technical assistance, expertise, and education concerning UST systems and the regulations that apply to them.
Direct and coordinate owners and operators, contractors, local, state and federal government agencies, and others on complex UST projects.

The Toxics Cleanup Program (TCP) within the Department of Ecology is looking to fill a Senior Underground Storage Tank Inspector/Site Hazard Assessment and Washington Ranking Specialist (Environmental Specialist 4) position. This position is located in our Bellingham Field Office (BFO) in Bellingham, WA . In this role, you will prevent environmental contamination by protecting the land, water, and air of the state through regulatory oversight of underground storage tank facilities, investigations on potential occurrence of a release, and site hazardous assessments. Job Summary:
As the center of the NanoString Commercial Operating System territory. Clear strategic intentions convey the local team’s purpose making it clear how everyone can contribute and make their mark to meet and exceed quota. The Regional Account Manager is responsible for identifying and establishing, a successful Regional Account Manager will provide strategic direction and tactical focus within the assigned relationships with new and established customer accounts for the sale of capital equipment and consumable utilization of existing instrument placements. The RAM will work closely with the Life Sciences commercial teams including Field Application Scientists, Consumable Sales Representatives, Regional Marketing and Technical Sales Specialists to ensure successful partnering to achieve territory revenue goals.
Requirements: MS or BS in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related field. A strong understanding and familiarity with gene expression technologies including qPCR, microarray analysis and Next Generation Sequencing. A minimum of 5 or more years of field experience with a proven track record of success. An ability to travel 25-50% of the time (territory dependent). Essential Responsibilities:
Establish relationships with new accounts and secure sales with new customers that achieve assigned sales quotas including monthly and quarterly linearity targets.
Drive the entire capital equipment sales cycle from initial customer engagement to closed sales including pilot projects.
Prospect for potential customers using various direct methods such as calling and face to face meetings, and indirect methods such as networking and partnering with FAS and CSR.
Create a funnel of current and future opportunities in territory to increase consumable utilization of each installed platform
Qualify prospects against company criteria for ideal customers and sales stage gating.
Consult with prospect about business challenges and requirements, as well as the range of options and value proposition of each.
Maintain a high level of relevant domain knowledge in order to have meaningful conversations with prospects.
Identify and present to key decision makers including senior executives and managers.

What makes this role unique?
You will provide statewide leadership and on-the-ground implementation of new and ongoing water quality initiatives involving stormwater and toxic pollutants, so that point and non-point sources of pollution are controlled. This priority work is located on the banks of the Duwamish River, an area of historical industry in a community which has been negatively affected by the environmental, social, and economic impacts of pollution. You will address high-priority toxic pollutants, using both traditional and non-traditional stormwater best management practices. You will work to reduce stormwater pollution in areas that are in close proximity to underserved populations. What you will do:
Plan, coordinate, and conduct inspections and enforcement actions for facilities that fall under the Industrial Stormwater General Permit, Constructions Stormwater General Permit, and Boatyard General Permit.
Help facilities within the Duwamish River estuary reduce the pollutants they discharge to this environment.
Work with the Industrial Stormwater General Permit Implementation team to clarify permit language, and identify and develop tools and guidance to help facilities meet permit requirements.
Develop sampling strategies to identify contaminants that aren't typically found in routine stormwater management and compliance activities.
Conduct compliance assurance activities to leverage compliance with permits, rules, and laws including enforcement actions.
Work with other Water Quality staff to implement and refine statewide initiatives to reduce stormwater pollution, with a focus on reducing pollution in overburdened communities.
Collaborate with professional engineers, planners and hydrogeologists to develop and implement stormwater treatment technologies, toxics reduction plans, and monitoring/assessment strategies.
Co-chair the Duwamish Inspectors Group to ensure work is coordinated among the multiple agencies working in this area. This includes sharing data, reviewing complaints, and identifying facilities for join inspections.
Represent Ecology at technical conferences, stakeholder forums, and public meetings involving stormwater management, toxic pollutant controls, and the Duwamish River.

This position is located in the Engineering Support Section (ESS), Sourcing Support Service in the Logistics Division, Office of Supply Chain Management, Department of Operational Support (DOS) at Headquarters. The Department of Operational Support was established to provide end-to-end operational support, advisory services and other solutions to operating entities across the Secretariat, including other departments, offices-away-from headquarters, field missions, and regional commissions. Job Summary
Clark County Public Works is recruiting for the position of Capital Program Specialist. The primary purpose of this position is to help management and fulfill goals of the state mandated 6-year Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) that is adopted by the County Council on an annual basis and approved by the County Engineer.
Qualifications
This position performs professional, detailed-oriented, and complex planning, monitoring, prioritizing, forecasting, and coordinating of capital programs. Primary duties and responsibilities include:
Understand methods and procedures of finance and compliance including reconciliation, grant accounting and administration, and auditing. Coordinate and communicate funding availability and legalities/regulations of funds.
Coordinate the annual development of the state mandated 6-year Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) and Annual Construction Program (ACP) which includes: understanding databases structures; following current council policies and county code; Washington Administrative Codes (WAC); Revised Codes of Washington (RCW); Code of Federal Regulations; Local Agency Guidelines (LAG). In addition, the TIP requires collecting data (economic, geometric, zoning, and traffic and accident data), prioritizing projects and adjusting schedules as necessary, estimating and forecasting funding sources, tracking project costs and allocating the funding for budget and audit compliance. collaborating with Community Planning and other active stakeholders to ensure the 6-year road program is in conformance with the 20-year Capital Facilities Plan (CFP.
Prepare grant, loan, and other funding applications and contracts. Monitors and tracks funding contracts; acts as liaison with funding agencies. Prepare compliance reports and administers cooperative contacts with federal, state and city governments.
Prepare preliminary project scopes in consultation with engineers and other appropriate disciplines. Initiates and established the capital project to official begin the work.
Develop and refine criteria and prioritize potential projects for the various programs as well as solicit and coordinate public involvement/education.
Prepare information and present to official boards, including the County Council, the County Road Administration Board (CRAB), Transportation Improvement Board (TIB), Planning Commission, Development Engineering Advisory Board, Public Works Board, and the Regional Transportation Council. This also includes neighborhood associations, community stakeholders, and interest groups.

Clark County Public Works is recruiting for the position of Capital Program Specialist. The primary purpose of this position is to help management and fulfill goals of the state mandated 6-year Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) that is adopted by the County Council on an annual basis and approved by the County Engineer.
Qualifications
This position performs professional, detailed-oriented, and complex planning, monitoring, prioritizing, forecasting, and coordinating of capital programs. Primary duties and responsibilities include:

Prepare grant, loan, and other funding applications and contracts. Monitors and tracks funding contracts; acts as liaison with funding agencies. Prepare compliance reports and administers cooperative contacts with federal, state and city governments.
Prepare preliminary project scopes in consultation with engineers and other appropriate disciplines. Initiates and established the capital project to official begin the work.
Develop and refine criteria and prioritize potential projects for the various programs as well as solicit and coordinate public involvement/education.
Prepare information and present to official boards, including the County Council, the County Road Administration Board (CRAB), Transportation Improvement Board (TIB), Planning Commission, Development Engineering Advisory Board, Public Works Board, and the Regional Transportation Council. This also includes neighborhood associations, community stakeholders, and interest groups.
Serve as a team member “client” to sustain compliance/accountability and provide guidance on scope, schedule, budget, and vital funding regulations on specific capital projects representing the County’s needs, project goals, and interests.
