The Access & Instruction Specialist is a permanent, full time staff member of the Access & Instruction Team at the College of Charleston Libraries who works primarily at the Access & Instruction Desk in Addlestone Library. Directly supporting Pillar 1 in the College’s Strategic Plan, this position impacts our students’ College experience and success by providing academic support and creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where all students feel they belong. Under the direct supervision of the Circulation and Shelving Manager and the direction of the Access Services Coordinator, the Access & Instruction Specialist provides excellent point-of-need access and instruction services (in-person and virtually) to all patrons; works with members of the Access and Instruction Unit to promote the College Libraries’ spaces, resources, and services across multiple channels and platforms to increase student engagement and success; assists with supervising and training student employees; and ensures library systems and facilities are operating as expected.
Minimum Requirements
High School diploma and 2 years of library/information services experience or a bachelor’s degree and 1 year of customer service experience. Ability to bend, stoop, and lift material up to 30 pounds. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.
Working evenings and Sundays is required.

Excellent customer service skills. Technologically proficient with Windows and iOS software operations, scanning technology, and Microsoft Office programs. Fluency in content creation and content management; confident in navigating social media platforms; creative, detail-oriented, and resourceful. Ability to teach others basic research and technology skills. Ability to prioritize job duties and multitask. Must be flexible, adaptable, and demonstrate enthusiasm for changes in technologies and services. Must demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail, have excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work and troubleshoot issues independently as they arise. Must be able to lead projects involving clearly defined, time-sensitive outcomes.

Division of Ecological Restoration

The Environmental Analyst III / Ecological Restoration Specialist serves as a restoration project manager for DER’s Dam Removal Program and contributes to internal and external capacity building for DER’s habitat restoration activities. The Ecological Restoration Specialist provides programmatic support to improve dam removal best practices, build partnerships, develop technical guidance documents, and improve monitoring and evaluation of environmental outcomes to increase the pace and quality of dam removal projects across the Commonwealth. This position works closely with the Dam Removal Program manager to support DER’s Habitat Restoration Branch initiatives and activities. The Ecological Restoration Specialist also performs duties in support of DER operations.
The Ecological Restoration Specialist – Dam Removal will be based in DER’s Boston office; the position will follow a hybrid schedule, consisting of in-office and telework. In-state travel to conduct fieldwork is also required.
Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as project manager for assigned ecological restoration projects including dam removal, salt marsh restoration, freshwater wetland restoration, retired cranberry bog restoration, culvert removal/replacement, or other project types. Work will be focused on dam removal and river restoration. (65%)
Coordinates and maintains communication between DER staff, and state, federal, and other project partners; ensures project goals are clear and objectives met.
Identifies potential restoration projects and works with landowners and partners to develop project plans.
Manages implementation of aquatic ecological restoration projects from inception to completion, including overseeing feasibility assessment, project design, permitting, and construction. Directs the work of consultants carrying out technical work.
Develops and leads restoration project teams.
Obtains project funding through grants and donations of in-kind services.
Conducts fieldwork in support of dam removal restoration projects, including field evaluations, hydrological and biological monitoring, and other work.

Financial Management (50% of time)
Update and maintain project budgets utilizing WRI’s budgeting and forecasting software (TM1)
Update and maintain project funding and allocations in coordination with workstream director(s) and project managers
Process invoices and payments for projects in compliance with WRI’s policies (subgrants, consultancies, work orders, etc.)
Assist project team in project closeout process including turnover documentation and financial reconciliation
Coordinate and advise on project budget management and reports
With project managers, review on a monthly basis the transactions and finances of the projects and update the budget
Prepare financial review template(s) for review with workstream director(s) and operations staff
Work with Salesforce to add new proposals
Develop fiscal year budget forecasts on a yearly basis in coordination with operations and workstream directors of both teams
Prepare participant agreements and provide travel support for WRI Ross Center Prize finalists, jury members, and other high value stakeholders
Program/Project Management (20% of time)
Process documentation for project commitments (i.e. agreements, contracts, work authorizations, and purchase orders)
Work with partners to help them understand and meet subgrant and contract requirements
Monitor program/project performance against contract requirements and deliverables
Manage various program, department and organizational trackers (publications, performance monitoring and others).
Grant Management (20% of time)
Lead the drafting of grant proposal budgets and assists in the collection & submission of formal proposals for grants
Submit all required grant forms as instructed by grant
Keep track of deliverables and reporting required under grants
Keep timely and accurate information on donors and contacts
Administration (10% of time)
Coordinate and schedule team meetings; provide support in organizing presentations, workshops, conferences, research seminars and other events for the program as needed
Provide timesheet guidance to workstream team members on a bi-weekly basis
Coordinate recruitment and manage onboarding of new staff members as needed. Update and maintain new hire staffing information with operations.
Job Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of relevant, full-time work experience supporting project management functions
Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, accounting, public policy, political science, international affairs, or similar subject required
Keen interest in the mission and work of the WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities
Detail-oriented, highly organized individual with experience and interest in program management, financial management, budgeting, and writing
Must be adaptable to rapidly changing priorities and have the ability to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines
Strong process orientation with sensitivity to quality
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong writing, database management, and proofreading skills
Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with statistical analysis and budgeting software is highly desirable

Lead the drafting of grant proposal budgets and assists in the collection & submission of formal proposals for grants

Job Qualifications:

Job Summary

Provide coaching, modeling, and ongoing consultation with behavioral and social-emotional interventions
PREVENTATIVE AND RESPONSIVE CRISIS SERVICES
Collaborates with school personnel, parents, students, and community resources to provide competent mental health support during and after crisis situations and support network crisis responses as needed and follow ERCM network response team procedures
Conducts suicide risk reviews and self-injury inventory process according to training and best practices (e.g., follow protocol, inform parents, provide recommendations and referrals to community services, and often provide follow up counseling and support at school)
Participates in threat response system process according to training and best practices
As appropriate, offers families resources and referrals for services in the community and support families in navigating those services
OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
Current School Counselor endorsement on a valid Colorado License or hold current CDE Special Services Provider License with a School Psychologist or School Social Worker endorsement

PREVENTATIVE AND RESPONSIVE CRISIS SERVICES
Collaborates with school personnel, parents, students, and community resources to provide competent mental health support during and after crisis situations and support network crisis responses as needed and follow ERCM network response team procedures
Conducts suicide risk reviews and self-injury inventory process according to training and best practices (e.g., follow protocol, inform parents, provide recommendations and referrals to community services, and often provide follow up counseling and support at school)
Participates in threat response system process according to training and best practices
As appropriate, offers families resources and referrals for services in the community and support families in navigating those services
OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
Current School Counselor endorsement on a valid Colorado License or hold current CDE Special Services Provider License with a School Psychologist or School Social Worker endorsement
If an applicant does not hold a current relevant CDE License, must be willing to pursue and be eligible to receive licensure in their field within 2 years of employment. The applicant could start with obtaining their TEE by that timeline if needed

REQUIREMENTS
Master’s degree in counseling, school psychologist, social worker, or another related mental health field

Speaks at least conversational Spanish and has experience working with and supporting Emergent Bilinguals
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
At least 2 years of urban school-based experience in the area(s) of mental health, intervention, special education, counseling, and/or school culture
Experience with data collection and analysis
Demonstrated success working with students of color and students with varied abilities
Experience in Title I and/or charter schools
Training and experience with effective, research-based behavioral interventions and strategies for supporting urban youth
Experience leading and managing adults
