Software Engineer (#1602611*)

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Software Engineer to support our Huntsville, AL location.

PeopleTec, Inc, a rapidly growing employee-owned company, is searching for a talented, experienced Software Engineer to serve as an on-site support contractor. Under Government oversight, the Software Engineer will perform a variety of software engineering tasks in support of a Command Center. The Software Engineer will also provide direct support to the government Project Office leading SW development processes and providing oversight during Software development and re-hosting as the OEM develops and designs the system prototype. The Software Engineer will support successful software prototype integration and will participate in Technical Working Groups, software design reviews, and industry engagements. 

Duties Include:

• Requirements definition, review, and traceability
• Ensure SW Requirements align with System requirements
• Participate in software code review
• Participate in Software test activity
• Support software independent verification and validation efforts
• Support software simulation efforts
• Review delivered SW CDRLs
• Support Software System Safety Technical Review Panel (SSSTRP)

Required Skills/Experience:

• Ability to work well in an agile and fast paced work environment
• Possess excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communications skills
• Travel: 5%
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

Education Requirements:

BA/ BS and 3+ years of experience are required.

Desired Skills:

• Experience or familiarity with Army Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS)
• Experience in agile software development methodologies
• Experience with architectural design patterns
• Experience with Linux operating systems
