Essential Job Functions
Important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Manages the Business & Community Education Operations staff and center.
Maintains, assesses and improves various software systems.
Provides continuous process improvement strategies to support programs, student services and data management.
Provides support to the Economic and Workforce Development Program and grants.
Compiles information for the Director, programming, promotions and sales professionals.
Oversees and implements all training, updates, and Standard Operating Procedures for the continuing education software, Lumens.
Oversees budget preparation and fiscal monitoring.
Supports the increase in registrations, class offerings and contracts.
Ensures continuity of workplace advancement and life & leisure course offerings.
Partners and consults with the PR & Marketing department on promotional strategies.
Collects, compiles and safeguards confidential information.
Prepares and delivers data reports to the internal and external entities such as MIS, VFA and NCCBP.
Approves and signs leave forms and timesheets for staff and instructors.
Gathers, systematizes, and manages program’s routine activities, such as tabulating evaluations, contacting instructors to schedule upcoming sessions, etc.
Decision-making regarding the running or canceling of classes/events and contacting participants.
Supports continuing education facility room management scheduling and coordination.
Supervises and/or directs office personnel to ensure accurate completion of requisitions, billing requests of Open Enrollment and Grant Funded training, and course lists.
Participates in campus committees as assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Unless otherwise approved under Hawkeye’s remote work policy, regular on campus and/or onsite attendance is considered an essential function of the position.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in business, education or related technical area and three (3) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience to total seven (7) years.
Demonstrated experience in program administration.
Demonstrated working knowledge in the coordination and reconciliation of budgets.
Demonstrated experience in data analysis.
Must possess a current driver’s license valid in the State of Iowa and a driving record insurable by the College’s insurer.
Demonstrated ability to travel to and from work sites and meetings, day and evenings.
Demonstrated ability to work with a culturally diverse student population, faculty, staff, and the general public.
Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal communication.
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, Google applications, and video conferencing technology.
Demonstrated ability to execute organization and department policies and procedures.
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential/sensitive information with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a community college setting.
Master’s degree in educational leadership, curriculum development or community development.
Working Conditions
Anticipated schedule is Monday – Friday from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm with potential for occasional evening and weekend hours.
Work is performed either in or a combination of an office setting and/or classroom setting using technology. Requires good hand-eye coordination including visual acuity to use a keyboard and read technical information; arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp. Sit, stand, bend, lift and move frequently during working hours. During course of day, interact with students, faculty and staff in person, by telephone and computers.
Employment Status

Based in New York City with remote options nationally, Footsteps offers members peer and emotional support groups, educational and career programs, divorce and custody support, social events and celebrations, and referrals to partner organizations for additional resources. Since Footsteps began in 2003, we have served over 2,300 individuals as they work to define their own identities, build new connections and communities, and lead meaningful lives on their own terms.
We have recently completed a robust strategic planning process, which has laid out a clear vision for Footsteps through 2027. In 2024, as we continue to recalibrate post-COVID, we expect our budget to surpass $5M with a staff of over 30. Job Summary:
The Director of Crisis Services is responsible for leading outpatient crisis services throughout Cummins, consistent with evidence-based practices that are recognized within the behavioral health industry. Working in collaboration with the organization's leadership, the Director of Crisis Services leads program and service development initiatives and ensures the quality and consistency of this division's clinical practices throughout Cummins' service delivery area. In coordination with the organization's leadership, provides direct support and assistance to persons in crisis and the clinical providers working within this division; conducts quality and performance improvement initiatives; and assists colleagues as they develop and implement strategies to meet the needs of persons in crisis and organizational systems that assist persons in crisis.
The Director of Crisis Services provides a combination of clinical knowledge, case management, leadership, supervision, program evaluation and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) services to establish, support, continuously improve and maintain a high-performing, high-fidelity crisis team serving consumers in psychiatric, substance use, suicidal, homicidal, or other crises.
The crisis team provides crisis intervention services to diverse individuals, families, and other professionals assisting those in crisis. Utilizing contemporary crisis prevention and intervention evidence-based practices, team members work as a member of an interdisciplinary team that includes Peer Recovery Specialists, Crisis Intervention Specialist, Crisis Intervention Therapists, and community emergency response systems including but not limited to local law enforcement, hospitals, and emergency first responders.
The Director of Crisis Services position may work non-traditional hours as this position is the member of a Crisis Response Team that serves Cummins consumers 24-hours per day, 7 days per week. The position consists of a combination of virtual service and face-to-face service in the community, mindful of safety guidelines and risk mitigation procedures.

Crisis Services Program
Provide clinical feedback and recommendations to treatment teams and crisis system workers in order to optimize effective clinical care to persons with high-risk behaviors.

Job Summary:
The Director of Crisis Services is responsible for leading outpatient crisis services throughout Cummins, consistent with evidence-based practices that are recognized within the behavioral health industry. Essential Functions:
Crisis Services Program
Provide clinical feedback and recommendations to treatment teams and crisis system workers in order to optimize effective clinical care to persons with high-risk behaviors.
Oversee the planning, development, and implementation of clinical programs within the area of crisis services. Serve as chair or co-chair of program development task groups and committees related to crisis services program initiatives.

HECHO provides a platform for Hispanics to contribute knowledge and perspectives about public lands conservation issues, enhance leadership capacity of Hispanic leaders, and promote Hispanic cultural heritage and connections to nature. While our focus is on the conservation of public lands in the American Southwest, our work has a national scope and impact. The HECHO Communications Coordinator will report to and support HECHO’s Communications Director in developing compelling messages, uplifting strong messengers, and using targeted communications vehicles to support our advocacy and education campaigns. This person will work closely with HECHO staff, NWF staff, HECHO’s Hispanic Conservation Leadership Council, and our partners to implement successful communications campaigns, projects, strategies, and tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Communications Director to develop and implement a comprehensive communications outreach plan for both English-language and Spanish-language content, including an editorial and social media calendar, to authentically engage HECHO’s followers, event participants, and volunteers.
Regularly write content in English and Spanish including blog posts, fact sheets, issue briefs, letters, op-eds, and newsletters.
Write and distribute press releases and background materials in English and Spanish on efforts of interest to national, regional, and web media.
Create original content for various social media accounts, including taking a similar piece and showcasing it differently depending on the platform.
Schedule social media posts and track social media metrics and website analytics.
Develop talking points for program staff and prepare staff for media interviews.
Help with media training of staff, advisory board, and members.
Coordinate with partners and work on media strategy in coalition with trusted partners.
Work with program staff and partners to assess media needs and develop appropriate media messages.
Assist with developing and maintaining media lists and contacts in English and Spanish media.
Qualifications:
