Kitchen Prep and Line Cook General Duties: The Camp Prep/Assistant Cook is responsible for assisting the Cook/Chef in providing meals for campers and staff during summer camp program. This includes assistance in preparing meals for special diets, cleaning and organizing kitchen and appliances, general cleaning, and maintaining meal records. A primary function of this, and every other job at Tomahawk Ranch, is to ensure that each member, guest, and visitor receives the highest caliber of service.
Assists Cook/Chef to prepare meals as scheduled for 50-250 people per meal.
Assists Cook/Chef to prepares all meals on time as scheduled or assigned.
Assist in the preparation of all meals for camp.
Properly measure ingredients and assemble them in accordance to Cook/Chef's specifications. Use proper measurement tools to ensure accuracy and proper execution of all recipes.
Wash, peel and prepare raw food products.
Cut and portion different types of meat.
Portion the food and prepare dishes and ingredients for serving.
Breakdown workstation and complete closing duties.
Ensure leftover food is stored properly.
Work closely with Cook/Chef and Dishwasher throughout the course of the shift and provide support as needed.
Test the temperature of foods at specified intervals; Perform daily temperature checks for coolers and products.
Clean, organize and maintain refrigerators, coolers, and dry storage areas. Restock items as needed. Keep track of ingredient quantities.
Ensures special food requirements for both campers and staff, e.g., food allergies, gluten free and vegetarian diets are managed with utmost importance for 100% accuracy.
Assists Cook/Chef in ensuring food items are readily available for staff on weekends.
Assists Cook/Chef in preparing and delivering timely and accurate pack-out/travel food.
On rare and brief occasions, in the absence of Cook/Chef, this role may need to act as the Cook/Chef; only as directed by Kitchen Manager.
Maintains kitchen cleanliness and proper food preparation according to state and local health department code requirements and departmental procedures.
Maintains overall sanitation, health, cleanliness, and safety standards for food preparation areas, cooking services, and dishes and utensils.
Assists Cook/Chef to ensure that CDPHE Food Regulations are being followed by all kitchen staff.
Regularly sanitizes kitchen surfaces throughout the day; Assists in daily deep cleaning of specific areas in the kitchen, e.g., floors, counters, overs, stoves, fridges, etc.
Education and/or Formal Training
High school diploma or equivalent plus one year certificate from college or technical school, preferred.
Minimum of three months food preparation and/or line cook experience, preferred.
Must possess, or be willing to obtain, current SERV Safe Certification.
Must possess, or be willing to obtain, current First Aid/CPR certification.
Experience
Minimum of three months experience in an industrial kitchen, preferred.
Prior experience cooking and serving 50-250 people per day, preferred.
Experience in meal preparation for those with restricted diets and/or food allergies, highly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proficient understanding of sanitation and regulations for workplace safety.
Basic understanding of nutrition guidelines, food handling techniques, preparation (including safe preparation of food for those with restricted diets and allergies) and cooking procedures.
Basic understanding of food allergies and food related diseases, and the ingredients that may cause the allergy/disease.
Must understand and comply with food safety and temperature standards.

Kitchen Prep and Line Cook General Duties: The Camp Prep/Assistant Cook is responsible for assisting the Cook/Chef in providing meals for campers and staff during summer camp program. This includes assistance in preparing meals for special diets, cleaning and organizing kitchen and appliances, general cleaning, and maintaining meal records. A primary function of this, and every other job at Tomahawk Ranch, is to ensure that each member, guest, and visitor receives the highest caliber of service.
Assists Cook/Chef to prepare meals as scheduled for 50-250 people per meal.
Assists Cook/Chef to prepares all meals on time as scheduled or assigned.
Assist in the preparation of all meals for camp.
Properly measure ingredients and assemble them in accordance to Cook/Chef's specifications. Use proper measurement tools to ensure accuracy and proper execution of all recipes.
Wash, peel and prepare raw food products.
Cut and portion different types of meat.
Portion the food and prepare dishes and ingredients for serving.
Breakdown workstation and complete closing duties.
Ensure leftover food is stored properly.
Work closely with Cook/Chef and Dishwasher throughout the course of the shift and provide support as needed.
Test the temperature of foods at specified intervals; Perform daily temperature checks for coolers and products.

Cook/Chef General Duties: The Camp Cook/Chef is responsible for providing meals for campers and staff during summer camp program. This includes preparing meals for special diets, cleaning and organizing kitchen and appliances, general cleaning, and maintaining meal records. A primary function of this, and every other job at Tomahawk Ranch, is to ensure that each member, guest, and visitor receives the highest caliber of service.
Prepare meals for 50-250 people per meal.
Ensures special food requirements for both campers and staff, e.g., food allergies, gluten free and vegetarian diets are managed with utmost importance for 100% accuracy.
Responsible for ensuring food items are readily available for staff on weekends.
Partners with administrative staff to plan, prepare, and deliver timely and accurate pack-out and travel camp food.
Works with Kitchen Manager to create prep sheets for special event orders.
Check menus daily for any required advance preparation; Prepare and assign production and prep work for Prep/Assistant Cooks to complete.
Observe methods of food preparation, cooking, and sizes of portions to ensure food is adequately prepared.
Ensure proper cooking methods and recipes are followed.
Perform quality audits and specs checks, including temp checks on food items and dish machines.
Ensures that CDPHE Food Regulations are being followed by all kitchen staff; Performs daily temperature checks for coolers and products.
Assists with breakdown of workstation and completion of closing duties ensuring all Prep/Assistant Cooks' and Dishwashers' assignments are completed before they sign out.

Cook/Chef General Duties: The Camp Cook/Chef is responsible for providing meals for campers and staff during summer camp program. This includes preparing meals for special diets, cleaning and organizing kitchen and appliances, general cleaning, and maintaining meal records. A primary function of this, and every other job at Tomahawk Ranch, is to ensure that each member, guest, and visitor receives the highest caliber of service.
Prepare meals for 50-250 people per meal.
Ensures special food requirements for both campers and staff, e.g., food allergies, gluten free and vegetarian diets are managed with utmost importance for 100% accuracy.
Responsible for ensuring food items are readily available for staff on weekends.
Partners with administrative staff to plan, prepare, and deliver timely and accurate pack-out and travel camp food.
Works with Kitchen Manager to create prep sheets for special event orders.
Check menus daily for any required advance preparation; Prepare and assign production and prep work for Prep/Assistant Cooks to complete.
Observe methods of food preparation, cooking, and sizes of portions to ensure food is adequately prepared.
Ensure proper cooking methods and recipes are followed.
Perform quality audits and specs checks, including temp checks on food items and dish machines.
Ensures that CDPHE Food Regulations are being followed by all kitchen staff; Performs daily temperature checks for coolers and products.
Assists with breakdown of workstation and completion of closing duties ensuring all Prep/Assistant Cooks' and Dishwashers' assignments are completed before they sign out.
Performs check in of all incoming food supply orders (verifies amount ordered vs invoice amount, ensures it is properly stored and rotated) as directed by Kitchen Manager.
Partner with Kitchen manager to make recipe or menu changes so that foods will be utilized before expiration date to eliminate waste as much as possible.
Partner with Kitchen Manager to reward and recognize staff for individual and team success.
Contribute as a leader of the department by supervising Prep/Assistant Cook and Dishwashing staff on improving operational efficiencies as needed.
Ensure and promote the sanitary integrity of the facility, equipment, and food products.
Maintains kitchen cleanliness and proper food preparation according to state and local health department code requirements and departmental procedures.
Maintains overall sanitation, health, cleanliness, and safety standards for food preparation areas, cooking services, and dishes and utensils.
Regularly sanitizes kitchen surfaces throughout the day; Assists in daily deep cleaning of specific areas in the kitchen, e.g., floors, counters, ovens, stoves, fridges, etc.
Keeps stock rooms, coolers, and freezers clean; Ensures that food supplies are rotated, and all perishables are labeled, dated and stored properly.
Assists with unloading, inspection, and storage of raw ingredients and supplies.
Education and/or Formal Training
High school diploma or equivalent plus one year certificate from college or technical school, preferred.
Minimum of two years' experience as a cook/chef, preferred.
Must possess, or be willing to obtain, current SERV Safe Certification.
Must possess, or be willing to obtain, current First Aid/CPR certification.
Experience
Minimum of six months experience in an industrial kitchen, required.
Prior experience cooking and serving 50-250 people per day, required.
Documented experience in meal preparation for those with restricted diets and/or food allergies, required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proficient understanding of sanitation and regulations for workplace safety.
Proficient understanding of nutrition guidelines, food handling techniques, preparation (including safe preparation of food for those with restricted diets and allergies) and cooking procedures.

Voter Education & Bilingual Outreach:
The Voter Education and Outreach program provides education and outreach to current and future voters in Multnomah County towards: voter registration, voter assistance resources, and voting a ballot by mail . We deliver and assess the needs of voters through our culturally specific outreach efforts. Our efforts are directed by a racial equity lens and use a trauma-informed framework to guide how we do our work.
This recruitment is in support of this year's Voter Engagement Project to be conducted from May through October. You will be:
Engaging with eligible voters to conduct a voter engagement survey at community events on behalf of the Elections Division.
Expand partnerships with community partners who serve our targeted communities
Interact with community members using a trauma-informed approach
Bilingual Customer Service:
You will assist in helping customers from diverse communities at the front counter and answering phones. Some customer service experience is helpful. Length of employment may be 1 to 3 weeks depending on work volume. Election Day work schedule may extend to approximately 9:00 pm. Physical requirements include the ability to stand or sit for long periods, the ability to speak effectively, good hearing, and good near and mid-range vision.
As the outreach project and events end, you may be assigned some of the following duties:
1. Election Board position:
You will open and prepare ballots to be counted. The work is not physically demanding, but is fast-paced, repetitive, and requires attention to detail. Approximate length of employment is 4-5 days. Election Day work schedule involves late hours generally past midnight. Physical requirements include good manual dexterity, the ability to perform repetitive motions, the ability to sit for long periods, good hearing, and the ability to visually inspect ballots at close range.
2. Data Entry position:
You will assist with data entry of Voter Registration Cards and verify signatures on ballots and petitions. This position requires computer experience and data entry skills. Length of employment may be 2 to 7 weeks depending on work volume and may require overtime. Election Day work schedule involves late hours generally past midnight. Physical requirements include good manual dexterity, the ability to perform repetitive motions, the ability to sit for long periods, and good near vision.
3. Runner position:
Bi-partisan teams of employees will deliver ballots to the Elections Office from 30 official ballot drop sites located throughout the county. Requires some lifting and a valid driver's license. Multnomah County will provide the vehicles. Approximate length of employment is 3-4 days, including one Saturday. Election Day work schedule may extend to 10:00 pm. Physical requirements include the ability to lift and carry moderate weight (15-30 pounds), the ability to pull, push, reach, bend, kneel, and crouch, good manual dexterity, good hearing, the ability to operate motorized equipment, the ability to stand or sit for long periods, and the ability to perform repetitive motions.
4. Ballot Counting position:
You will operate ballot tally equipment and/or various ballot processing functions. Approximate length of employment is 1-5 days. May involve working a night shift and weekends. Physical requirements include the ability to lift and carry moderate weight (15-30 pounds), good manual dexterity, the ability to stand for long periods, and the ability to perform repetitive motions.
5. Sorter Assistant position:
You will assist in the Elections Office with running the high speed sorter, moving trays of ballots between sorter and storage carts, alphabetizing challenged ballots by last name, facing ballots as they come into the bay area, and other duties as assigned. Approximate length of employment is 5-7 days. Election Day schedules can involve late hours generally past midnight. Physical requirements include the ability to lift and carry moderate weight (15-45 pounds), good manual dexterity, good hearing, the ability to stand and walk for long periods, and the ability to perform repetitive motions.
6. Voter Assistance Team (VAT) position:
You will provide assistance to voters at the Elections Office or in the voter's residence. Generally, these voters are elderly, have some type of disability, or have difficulty with the English language. Approximate length of employment is 2-3 weeks and will begin as early as three weeks prior to Election Day. Physical requirements include the ability to lift and carry moderate weight (15-45 pounds), the ability to stand and sit when performing work duties, the ability to operate motorized equipment, good manual dexterity, good hearing, and the ability to speak effectively.
7. Observer Monitoring position:
You will monitor observers of the election process. Length of employment may be 1 to 2 weeks depending on observation requests, and may require overtime. 8. Ballot Adjudication position:

Inspect park properties and facilities to identify potential hazards; take necessary measures to eliminate or mitigate hazards.
Explain park rules and regulations to park visitors;

Office Oversight (5%)
Supervise office activities to ensure that various field reports are prepared in a timely and accurate manner, including: payroll, periodic and special operations reports, purchasing documents, cash handling and revenue reporting procedures.
Maintain timely and accurate equipment service records, safety inspection reports, hazardous tree surveys, capital inventory and other records as required.
Plan the management unit goals and objectives and budget, including staffing, maintenance and operations, new construction, repair and restoration, acquisition, capital and fleet equipment needs.
Insure that budget expenditure controls, monitoring systems, purchasing and contracting procedures are followed.
Participate in meetings with the region leadership team; communicate frequently with the district and region managers in person, by phone, e-mail, fax or memo to review progress toward management unit, district, region and agency goals and objectives.
Insure that park areas have up-to-date maintenance and operations plans including: emergency procedures, water and sewer system maintenance plans, integrated pest management programs and preventative maintenance programs.

This work requires timely coordination, management, and communication among different internal and external audiences, within and across research teams.
The Project Officer will manage enterprise workflow, from data, to analytic processes, to results critique, to improvement. To create the needed indicators, the position manages collation of all available relevant quantitative data, from both external sources and other teams within IHME. The Project Officer will help facilitate the modeling of estimates and help to manage various analytic processes that are used to apply innovative analytic methods. Finally, they will ensure the results are vetted and eventually disseminated appropriately through a variety of mechanisms such as web presence, interactive tools and data visualizations, conference presentations, scientific publications, and materials for non-scientific audiences.
