Mid-level Systems Engineer (#1784113)

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Mid-level Systems Engineer to support our Huntsville, AL location.

Our team is looking for a motivated self-starting Systems Engineer with at least 3-6 years of experience. The ideal candidate will be part of a team that will develop and implement Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes and best practices to support the development of requirements, designs, assessments, and reports for a prototype testing environment. This systems engineer will lead in the implementation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of MBSE tools to support assessment and testing efforts for a broader team. Other duties include participation in technical working groups and interaction with the Government throughout the development lifecycle.

Duties Include:

• Develop and maintain SysML/UML models of Aviation Platform to include major systems and subsystems, software, digital architecture, and airworthiness requirements and specifications
• Integrate models into system functional models
• Support the development and facilitation as an architect using the systems engineering processes to include requirements management, configuration management, data management, risk management, etc.
• Lead the development of Milestone documentation and lead the development of the Systems Engineering Plan (SEP), Program Protection Plan, Systems Specification, Performance Work Statement, and/or Statement of Work (SOW), and Source Selection Plan (SSP)
• Support the development of Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) Products, Concept of Operations (CONOPS), and Capability Development Requirements (CDD)
• Develop and maintain system of interest functional and logical models
• Develop integration and training requirements for expansion of model-based systems engineering utilization in Army Aviation Participate in system requirements reviews and creating and/or updating requirement specifications and qualification models

Required Skills/Experience:

• 3-6 years experience in MBSE
• Proficient in Rhapsody, DOORS, and MagicDraw, Enterprise Architect, SysML and/or other MBSE tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Basic knowledge of architecture, requirements engineering, CONOPS development, verification, test, and system integration to accommodate End-to-End Systems Engineering
• Experience with systems engineering processes in support of DoD system life cycle development
• Travel: < 25%
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• An active DoD Secret clearance. Candidates are will be required to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

Education Requirements:

• BS Degree in Engineering discipline

Desired Skills/Certifications:

• Systems Engineering Experience on a complex acquisition program
• Experience working Army Aviation or Missiles and Space programs
• Thorough understanding and experience with Cameo Magic Draw
• Security+ certification
