Advanced Model Based System Engineer (#1795238)

PeopleTec is currently seeking an Advanced Model Based System Engineer to support our Huntsville, AL location.

The candidate will support the Lower Tier Air and Missile Defense Sensor (LTAMDS) Integration efforts with the Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office. LTAMDS is a radar designed to provide 360-degree coverage and track advanced and next-generation threats. The Army's objective is to enhance a net-centric air and missile defense architecture by developing SAFe Agile processes, using state of the art Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and processes to perform analysis and deliver a viable capability enhancement to the Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Program Office. The desired candidate will serve as MBSE and systems engineering subject matter expert. Responsibilities may include, Training team members on SysML fundamentals the use of MagicDraw and the Unified Profile for DoDAF/MODAF (UPDM) visual modeling standard. The selected candidate will coordinate with prime contractors to obtain detailed specifications and design documents to support MBSE efforts.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Ten to Fifteen years of demonstrated experience in developing, validating, and executing MBSE or system engineering for aerospace applications
• Experience with SysML and Magic Draw applications
• Experience with architectural tools, prefer DoDAF or UPDM
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills Good presentation skills to present results of analyses and recommendations to team leaders
• Ability to lead a small team of engineers/analysts
• Possess an ability to plan, coordinate, and support product development in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
• Experience with integrating weapon system components to achieve performance objectives to include sensitivity analysis
• Ability to use Microsoft Office package to include: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Travel: Local travel only
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

Education Requirements:

A Bachelor of Science Degree or higher in a science or technology discipline (e.g., engineering, physics, math, or computer science). Four additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.

Desired Skills:

• A Master of Science Degree in a science or technology discipline (e.g., engineering,
  physics, math, or computer science)
• Experience with SAFe Agile processes
• Proficient with UPDM visual modeling standard
• Experience in Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD), PAC-3, or other directly
  related Air and Missile Defense (AMD) program offices.
• Experience with IAMD Battle Command System (IBCS)
• Experience working on joint engineering teams developing a software engineering
  process architecture and/or performing concept development of new capabilities
• Familiarity with radar systems, including AN/TPY-2, LTAMDS, PATRIOT, G/ATOR
• Familiarity with air and missile defense interceptors, including Army Patriot Interceptors,
• Navy Standard Missiles, Ground Based Interceptor, THAAD
• Ability to work with multiple simulation and trade study teams simultaneously
• Familiarity with IAMD threats
