Elon University is currently accepting applications for an Instructional Technologist. The position is part of an instructional technology team that supports the mission of the university by working with faculty and staff to identify and apply modern instructional technologies to advance Elon’s model of student and learning-centered higher education and to enhance and support strategic campus initiatives. The position provides expert guidance in the application of instructional technologies and provides consulting, training, and support in the use of both existing and emerging technologies.
Additionally, the Instructional Technologist for Design and Development will help advance the use of technology in teaching and learning by developing materials for instructors and administrative departments that are accessible, engaging, and pedagogically sound. The position works closely with the instructional technology team to support faculty and staff through course design and development, consultations, group trainings and quick help. The position is a digital pedagogies resource and subject matter expert on current and emerging learning theories, instructional theories, practices, and their applications in higher education. This is an on-campus position.
Master’s degree required in Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Media, Instructional Technology, Instructional Design or similar field. Two to four years of work experience in these areas, preferably in a higher education environment.
