PeopleTec is currently seeking a Mid-Level SATCOM Systems Analyst to support our Peterson AFB, CO location.

The candidate will provide technical services to the Wideband Consolidated SATCOM System Expert (C-SSE), Operations and Plans Branch, US Army Satellite Operations Brigade. Knowledge of Wideband SATCOM systems is necessary and familiarity with the North American Treaty Organization (NATO) Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) international agreement.

Duties Include:
Provide transmissions management and network management of Wideband SATCOM Operational Management System (WSOMS) and other MILSATCOM C2 programs
Serve as technical consultant for transmissions management and control in the Super High Frequency (SHF), Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) functional area
Develop/coordinate policy and plans for the WGS programs
Develop definitive technical solutions that consider systems architecture, interoperability, interfaces, protocols, networking, expansion potential and overall end-to-end compatibility
Participate as consultant, advisor, or member in various DoD, Joint, and MILDEP planning and working groups
Analyze, evaluate, and recommend solutions to future communications and automation operational challenges
Use knowledge of satellite communications systems and their relationships to other telecommunications networks
Provide technical and operational planning, system configuration and operational mission support
Responsible for the development, preparation and coordination of wideband satellite communications and related information systems plans defining concepts, programmatics, and system initiative
Develop and provide input to the Army Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE)
Responsible for Management of C2 MILSATCOM network management programs
Develop technical and management comments reflecting the command position with respect to Army and joint actions, interface with other command and higher authority
Review and comment of government documents resulting from these evaluations include such factors as feasibility, technical adequacy, interoperability, and integration into current systems and future planning
Provide lessons learned to Materiel Developer and Combat Developer, and helps ensure MILSATCOM and related information systems employment adheres to Army and USSPACECOM doctrine
Assist in managing Wideband SATCOM ground segment for transition to current/future satellites through concept, development, testing, procurement, production, and fielding
Ensure that developmental tactical automation systems are interoperable with and integrated into tactical communications equipment and are designed to meet user requirements, overall military specifications, and budgetary constraints
Work at senior level to define, integrate, and implement strategic direction for Wideband programs having long-term effects
Develop/present briefings to convey strategic vision or organizational policies
Recommend decisions and policies in planning for new Wideband SATCOM program requirements

Required Skills/Experience:
10+ years of Department of Defense (DoD) SATCOM experience
Travel: 25%
Must be a U.S. Citizen
An active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline with 5+ years of experience required. Associate's Degree with 10+ years of relevant work experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

Desired Skills:
Knowledge of Wideband SATCOM, preferably transmissions and payload control and mission planning experience
Significant military familiarity and training in SATCOM
Ability to demonstrate proficiency in SATCOM principles, technical analysis, and problem solving
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project)
Knowledge of International Trafficking in Arms and Arms Export Control Act
