Software Developer (#1823885)

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Software Developer to support our Fort Bliss, TX location.
Our team is seeking an exceptionally motivated self-starting Software Developer/Engineer with a background in front-end/UI software development. The candidate will provide hands-on technical experience to our growing team of cyber, space, and engineering professionals who design, implement, test, and deploy end-to-end 2D/3D geospatial solutions. Duties Include: Create end-to-end solutions for sharing 2D/3D components that animate, visualize, and explore spatial data in cloud and enterprise environments. Use JavaScript, C++, and/or other programming languages to develop front-end applications that follow industry-standard design patterns, development methodologies, and deployment models. Solve and articulate complex problems through application design, product development, and user experiences. Work closely with product engineers to innovate, develop, and enhance visualization techniques to interactively explore spatial data. Contribute to unit tests that back the quality of the development. Leverage the knowledge of peers and stakeholders to better understand the customers' greatest pain points and solicit feedback from both customers and colleagues to improve the product.



Required Skills/Experience:

4+ years of front-end development experience with a fluency and passion for JavaScript and C++ Proficiency with front-end/UI development technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, Node.JS, ReactJS, TypeScript, and JSON. Ability to work closely with software developers, product engineers, and documentation writers to build quality software in a constantly evolving agile environment

Effective time management and organizational skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience with authentication schemes such as OAuth, PKI, etc., and multithreaded programming Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Travel: 10%

Must be a U.S. Citizen

An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance to be considered for the position.




Education Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (4 years of additional experience in lieu of degree) and 4+ years of front-end development experience with a fluency and passion for JavaScript and C++.



Desired Skills:

Master's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 6+ years of front-end development experience with a fluency and passion for JavaScript and C++

Java and Groovy for back-end applications and data integration tools Typescript, React, Leaflet, and d3 web technologies Python for data processing and analysis

Knowledge of MVVM application design pattern

Knowledge of 3D graphics APIs such as OpenGL or DirectX

Experience with UI development using XAML/WPF

Knowledge of ESRI products or similar GIS or spatial software Prior experience with software development and release of commercial software products

Experience with Agile software development using Scrum Experience with writing testable software Experience working with live data feeds to populate a real-time dashboard

Experience with ESRI ArcGIS and/or other geospatial tools

Experience with DoD Joint Staff elements
