Our team at Minivasive Pain and Orthopedics- Pearland is looking for a full-time bilingual Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care in the outpatient clinical setting. The Medical Assistant will additionally support a positive patient experience by performing administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of physician or nurse manager and will assist the physician in scribing patient notes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Demonstrates Customer Service Standards (smiles and makes eye contact, greets each patient and visitor, seeks out patient and visitor contact, displays appropriate body language at all times, takes 5 minutes each day to go above and beyond for one patient or visitor, honor diversity and thanks each customer)
Works efficiently and completes tasks thoroughly to optimize patient flow while maintaining quality and patient/provider satisfaction
Escorts patient(s) to exam rooms, interviews patients, measures vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and documents all information in patient's chart
Confirm patient' DOB and full name
Confirm reason for visit and date of injury
Educates and may give directions to patient regarding medication and treatment plan as instructed by physician or physician assistant
Maintains patient charts ensuring all related reports, labs and information is filed and available in patients' medical records/file prior to their appointment. Ensure completeness and accuracy of patients' forms
Patient must have a referral form unless sent from another provider
Patient must have x-ray or MRI report
Check off list must be completed
Letter of Protection must be in the patient file, if applicable
Completes necessary forms as requested including but not limited to disability and FMLA forms
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow

Duties
What makes this role unique? You will assist your team members on the Technical Team to ensure we are receiving all necessary new hire paperwork for new employees, and for any internal movement actions for existing Ecology employees. You will help complete student loan forgiveness forms, verifications of employment forms, some inquiries from the Employment Security Department, assist with HRMS entry for select actions, and help to ensure our central files are up-to-date and maintained. What you will do:
Manage the onboarding paperwork for Washington Conservation Corps (WCC) and Ecology Youth Corps (EYC) members, by accurately entering new/rehires and separations into in the Human Resource Management System (HRMS), complete Personnel Action Forms (PA40’s) for EYC crew members and submit paperwork to our payroll partners.
Track paperwork for all Ecology hires, to ensure we are receiving all necessary new hire forms. These forms include employee information, affirmative action and demographics, I-9, new employee checklists, and emergency contact.
Complete Public Service Loan Forgiveness forms as they are received.
Receive and complete employment verifications received via telephone, fax, email, or mail by verifying employment of current or former employees in a timely manner. Process and complete necessary forms or letters, providing our payroll partners with the necessary forms to complete the request.
Assist in maintaining up-to-date position and personnel files. This includes printing completed, approved paperwork, and filing them in the appropriate place in the correct file.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Years of required experience indicated below are full-time equivalent years. Full-time equivalent experience means that any experience where working hours were less than 40 hours per week will be prorated in order to meet the equivalency of full-time. We would calculate this by looking at the total hours worked per week, divide this by 40, and then multiply by the total number of months worked. Examples of the proration calculations are:
30 hours worked per week for 20 months: (30/40) x 20 months = 15 months full-time equivalent
20 hours worked per week for 12 months: (20/40) x 12 months = 6 months full-time equivalent
Experience can be gained through various combinations of formal professional employment, education, and volunteer experience. See below for how you may qualify. What is a Program and Events Specialist?
Girl Scouts of Colorado partners with a variety of organizations to engage Girls Scouts in leadership development programming through the lens of STEM, life skills, entrepreneurship, and outdoor stewardship. The Program and Events Specialist aids in statewide program development, delivery, and logistical support for Girl Scout partner programs and events. What You Need to Know: As a Warehouse Inventory Assistant, you will receive and process department orders to ensure the collection of blood supplies, from a central warehouse location. In this role you will perform basic receiving and shipping duties to stock and process blood-product supplies; arrange and trouble-shoot delivery logistics to from our blood collection sites . As a Red Cross Team member, you will take care of your team members – show up for every shift and give 100% while you’re there. Prepares product for shipment by retrieving Customer product from processed area and staging shipping area; prepares accurate shipping documentation; loads product into shipping container or transfers small packages to delivery service.
Ensures shipment of product within shipping deadline by maintaining contact with Customer transportation personnel and with vendor and internal facility staff.
