Technical Solutions Engineer

As a TME, you will be the technical expert of Aruba ‘User Experience Insight’ (UXI) solution and possess knowledge across a range of product and functional areas, including but not limited to 802.11 basics, WLAN security including firewalls, WLAN Access Points, and Cloud controllers. Knowledge of Aruba products is a plus. Using this skill set, you will be responsible to spend 25% of your time analyzing the Aruba UXI solution to become a subject matter expert. You will be expected to spend 40% of your time testing and validating the solution that includes setting up different testbeds and demos. As part of the testing process, you will be expected to debug wireless networks that need knowledge of network infrastructure products like controllers and access points and a good understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts along with troubleshooting of wired and wireless network topologies, and related protocols like RADIUS, 802.1X, DNS and packet tracing/sniffing on 802.3 and 802.11 networks. As part of this role, you will also be expected to spend 20% of your time generating technical collateral which includes reviewing and producing tech notes, configuration, and design guides, and assist in technical curriculum and training development when required. You will also be responsible for the review and development of white papers, technical briefs, and implementation documents for publication on the web and printed media. You will be the primary point of contact for the Aruba field teams and systems engineers for any Q&A related to the Aruba UXI solution. You will also be expected to participate in and support technical forums, industry events, conferences, and customer demos.

Key TME Responsibilities:

You will be expected to become the subject matter expert for Aruba’s UXI product line in order to enable and train the field, systems engineers, and partners.
You will be expected to lead the setup and management of training labs and customer demo environments.
You will be expected to lead field training and present at industry events such as Aruba Atmosphere as well as to conduct customer experience demos.
You will be expected to support field demos and Q&A.
You will be expected to carry out a competitive analysis of similar products in the market.
You will support PLM activities, documentation, and the creation of training material.
 

Key Qualifications:

Ability to carry out cross-functional collaboration between product, marketing, engineering teams.
Ability to distill complex technical information into simple, consumable formats.
Basic understanding of wired and wireless networking.
Knowledge of HPE Aruba products is a plus.
Previous experience in a Technical Marketing Engineer or related role is a plus.
