Job Purpose
Institutional Research Data Architect designs systems for and manages complex data to support the data-driven decision-making functions of the institution. This position serves to support the Office of Institutional Research in providing a first-class reporting structure for national and state accountability reporting including IPEDS and SC CHE . The Office of Institutional Research serves a critical function for the College of Charleston in providing data to senior administrators, the College community, and external agencies.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer science, mathematics/statistics, engineering, management information science, data processing or related field and experience with Tableau, Cognos/Argos, SQL , and/or SAS is required. Experience with data mining, including techniques of data extraction, documentation, analysis, and reporting is required. Experience working in a higher education environment is preferred. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Required:
Experience with Tableau, Cognos/Argos, SQL , and/or SAS . Advanced SAS programming experience is preferred.
Working knowledge and practitioner of methods and techniques of data extraction, documentation, analysis, and reporting.
Proficiency with MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint and PowerPoint.
Knowledge and understanding of the data and information that is important to an academic institution.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and to communicate effectively.
Must be able to work well under strict deadlines and have exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects with shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Must understand the significance of maintaining data integrity and confidentially with student records; knowledge of and adherence to FERPA regulations.
Preferred:
Exceptional organizational skills and experience managing and documenting complex projects.
Knowledge of higher education information systems such as Ellucian Banner and related data systems and repositories such as Salesforce, IPEDS , US News, and CSRDE .

King County Department of Local Services, Permitting Division
Summary
In order to hire and maintain a quality workforce that reflects the diversity of the community and works well within our True North values-based organization, the Permitting Division of the Department of Local Services (DLS) is accepting applications for the position of Engineer II . The person in this position works under the supervision of a Product Line Manager to produce or help produce timely, accurate, quality reviews and approvals of building and land use development projects, including County-initiated comprehensive reviews of mining operations. Working in a collaborative manner, Engineers work with a higher degree of independence. They apply their engineering and project management experience to review a variety of permit types ranging from small site projects to complex commercial projects. This position may include review of ancillary permits such as conditional use permits, variances, adjustments, right-of-way use permits, boundary line adjustments, Plats, legal lot reviews and grading permits. This position is responsible for carefully reviewing permit application plans and technical documents, working cooperatively with others in the department and other agencies, and writing technical permit, approval documents that are concise and accurate. An essential part of the job is to work in a positively solution-oriented manner with customers, their design/engineering professionals, other members of the public, and co-workers. DER seeks an experienced professional to join our team as an Ecological Restoration Engineer within the Technical Services Branch. The Technical Service Branch provides restoration planning, engineering assistance, knowledge management, and other services in support of DER’s restoration programs, operations, and communications.
The Ecological Restoration Engineer (Restoration Engineer) works across restoration programs to build and support the Division’s restoration engineering and project management approaches. The Restoration Engineer works closely with Restoration Section staff to support and enhance the quality, efficiency, and technical rigor of DER’s restoration work. The position requires significant leadership, sound professional judgment, and a high level of professional expertise with ecological restoration, engineering in riverine and wetland settings, and the discipline of project management. They will develop and launch DER’s Project Engineering and Management strategy, implement technical QA/QC processes, and provide engineering technical assistance to DER staff, partners, and projects. The position will support project engineering and management capabilities for a diverse range of restoration activities, including wetland restoration, river and stream continuity, dam removal, retired cranberry bog restoration, and regional restoration partnerships. The outcomes of this work will build DER and partner capacity to reduce project risks, improve project management practices, and increase the pace, scale, and impact of restoration throughout Massachusetts.

DETAILED STATEMENT OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
These duties will be carried out in close collaboration with DER’s Habitat Restoration and Capacity Building branches and other Division staff.
Develop and Implement DER’s Restoration Engineering Approach (40%)
o Assess DER’s current approach to restoration engineering, including dam removal, culvert upgrade, coastal wetland restoration, and other restoration project types.
o Develop and implement a comprehensive restoration engineering approach that includes ecological restoration engineering best practices, policies, procedures, and standards.
o Ensure projects use best engineering practices, incorporate climate change appropriately into design work, and utilize DER’s internal knowledge base of proven methods and lessons learned.
o Develop and implement the Division’s approach for technical QA/QC review of restoration engineering and design products. Determine appropriate QA/QC measures to mitigate risks and ensure successful outcomes from project selection through post-construction monitoring and adaptive management.
o Serve as a restoration engineering advisor on select restoration projects with complex engineering, hydrologic, and other needs.
o Regularly review and update DER’s restoration engineering strategy and services to respond to changing needs.

The Technical Service Branch provides restoration planning, engineering assistance, knowledge management, and other services in support of DER’s restoration programs, operations, and communications.
The Ecological Restoration Engineer (Restoration Engineer) works across restoration programs to build and support the Division’s restoration engineering and project management approaches. The Restoration Engineer works closely with Restoration Section staff to support and enhance the quality, efficiency, and technical rigor of DER’s restoration work. o Assess DER’s current approach to restoration engineering, including dam removal, culvert upgrade, coastal wetland restoration, and other restoration project types.
o Develop and implement a comprehensive restoration engineering approach that includes ecological restoration engineering best practices, policies, procedures, and standards.
o Ensure projects use best engineering practices, incorporate climate change appropriately into design work, and utilize DER’s internal knowledge base of proven methods and lessons learned.
o Develop and implement the Division’s approach for technical QA/QC review of restoration engineering and design products. Determine appropriate QA/QC measures to mitigate risks and ensure successful outcomes from project selection through post-construction monitoring and adaptive management.

About the Role:
We’re looking for a Director of Product Management who is passionate about growing a team of talented product managers creating products that improve health outcomes for patients. You’ll lead a team that works closely with design, engineering, and science to develop digital therapeutics that address health conditions millions of people live with every day. Position Description
America Votes is looking for a data engineer who can help manage the databases, pipelines, and other infrastructure that America Votes uses to gather, analyze and share data across the progressive space. This person will join our new data engineering team, and work closely with the data engineering director, other data teams, and state data directors. Create or maintain Airflow pipelines used to load data into our Redshift database, as well as pipelines to send data from our warehouse to partners or user-facing tools.

Contribute to data strategy and platform feature development, including adoption of new tools and platforms.

Responsibilities
Create or maintain Airflow pipelines used to load data into our Redshift database, as well as pipelines to send data from our warehouse to partners or user-facing tools.
Collaborate with other data staff - both internally and across the movement - to build and maintain a robust data infrastructure.
Contribute to data strategy and platform feature development, including adoption of new tools and platforms.
Help maintain overall cloud infrastructure, which currently includes Amazon Redshift, s3, AWS hosted servers, and Airflow on Google Composer.

Compensation
The salary for this position will be between $85,000 - 95,000 and depends upon the applicant’s experience . This is a full-time position. We offer a competitive and holistic total rewards package that includes salary, bonus, and benefits. Our compensation ranges are based on salary ranges for similar sized organizations in the professional services sector.
Durham: $110,000-$137,000
Chicago: $115,000-$143,000

Employees will be provided with a County issued laptop and must maintain a workspace with an internet connection (access may be supplemented in some situations) where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours. SUMMARY:
In order to hire and maintain a quality workforce that reflects the diversity of the community and works well within our True North values-based organization, the Permitting Division of the department of Local Services (DLS) is accepting applications for the career-service position of Product Line Manager - Code Enforcement.
The Product Line Manager - Code Enforcement will lead and manage code enforcement, permit, inspection, or permit support services. Incumbents provide supervision to staff who investigate, and process complaints of violations of the King County Code. The Product Line Manager must be able to perform personally and cultivate among the staff within the Product Line a sophisticated balance between careful adherence to applicable laws and policies while also providing superior customer service. Product Line Managers report to the Assistant Director for Permitting.
JOB DUTIES:
To be considered for this opportunity, you must at a minimum, demonstrate knowledge, skill and ability to:

Represent King County in legal action by acting as expert witness, giving depositions and answering interrogatories on matters involving enforcement actions.
Provide information to the public on code clarification, code interpretation and enforcement issues.
Perform other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS:
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration, criminology or related field, urban planning, industrial engineering, architecture, or similar field and progressive experience in management, including supervising staff OR Any combination of experience/education/training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the work.
Knowledge of codes, ordinances, policies, and laws at various jurisdictional levels that pertain to the specialty area
Knowledge of data reporting, quantitative, and analytical tools/techniques
Knowledge of principles and practices of management and public administration
Knowledge of supervisory principles and practices, workload planning, and scheduling
Skill in system/organizational analysis
Skill in applying and analyzing metrics to measure product line performance
Skill in implementing, interpreting, and amending jurisdictional codes
Ability to read and interpret plans, policies, and regulations, and determine when legal or other professional assistance is required

Considerable knowledge of applicable state, federal and local laws, rules, ordinances, and regulatory standards applicable to the work.
Effective facilitation and negotiation skills
Necessary Special Requirements:
An offer of employment will be contingent on the success of a pre-employment physical examination.
Must have a valid Washington State driver's license and a good driving record. A complete driving abstract will be required.
Must be able to use office equipment and software.
