Job Description

Eastern Florida State College is currently seeking applications for the full-time position of Head Coach, Men’s Soccer on the Melbourne Campus in Melbourne, Florida. 

 

Oversee men’s soccer program in all facets from recruiting, teaching, mentoring, monitoring academic success and administration. Position is also responsible for all aspects of the care, maintenance, and renovation of the soccer practice field and soccer stadium.  Establishes and implements grounds/landscape development and maintenance goals, policies and procedures, field markings of soccer field as required.

 

The following minimum qualifications for this position must be met before any applicant will be considered:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
  • At least 7 years of Head Coaching at either High School or 3 years Head Coaching at the College level.
  • Knowledge or willing to understand NJCAA rules and regulations.
  • Must possess valid Florida driver’s license (able to get one if outside the state).
  • High energy.
  • Great teacher of the game.
  • Able to run reel mowers and other equipment pertaining to turf management of athletic facilities.
  • Passion for the sport.
  • Professional demeanor and public relation skills. Able to work as a team player within the Athletic Department and with Faculty and Staff.
  • This position will require successful fingerprinting and drug screening. The candidate chosen will be required to pay the associated fees (currently $37.25/$58.20).  These fingerprinting and drug screening fees ($37.25/$58.20) are non-refundable.

*High school diploma or GED or transcripts or official transcripts of all collegiate work (as appropriate for the position) must be sent directly from the attended institution to the Human Resources Office prior to the first day of employment.  All foreign degrees must have a course-by-course official evaluation and translation sent to the Human Resources Office directly from an evaluation company affiliated with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, Inc.

  • Works outside in various weather conditions.

 

The salary is competitive and considers credentials and experience.  Successful internal candidates for external job postings should be aware that their current salary does not transfer to the new position.
