What you will do:
A process improvement manger will review, document and analyzes the performance of various processes & procedures at Jam and makes recommendations for improvements. The job duties will focus on observing staff, documenting existing processes & procedures, determining how to make production Flow more efficient through process re-engineering. The process improvement manager will ensure that once optimized, processes are clearly stated via documented SOP’s and staff adequately trained & engaged.
Responsibilities: Duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
Document existing processes & procedures using cross functional charting methodology or similar methodology.
Participate in the continuous improvement of technology solutions for material handling.
Analyze existing processes and procedures once documented and optimize for efficiencies.
Scans, verifies, and archives documentation as need.
Recommends process improvements & associated training requirements.
Establish & document SOP’s as well as establish the require training to support the established SOP’s.
Engage in continuous improvement activities & training.
Establish change control management for all P &P’S as well as refresher training.
develop new training programs or modify and improve existing programs where required.
Plan, develop, and provide training and staff development programs, using knowledge of the effectiveness of methods such as classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences, and workshops.
Create & Conduct orientation & training sessions and arrange on-the-job training for new hires for all DC departments.
Confer with management and conduct surveys to identify training needs based on projected production processes, changes, and other factors.
Conduct and document Lessons Learned and Best Practice Reviews.
Assess the impact of training programs.
Prepare training budget for all departments.
Conduct surveys with management team to identify training needs based on projected production processes, changes, and other factors.
Develop and organize training manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience with at least 7-10 years of related experience.

The AM is responsible for managing the portfolio review process, tracking and sharing progress towards development goals, preparing donor research summaries and briefings, and ensuring accuracy of database records. The ideal candidate is a thoughtful collaborator who is driven by data, pays close attention to detail while managing multiple projects, and uplifts LCV’s organizational values and commitment to racial justice and equity.
Responsibilities :
Manage a quarterly portfolio review process for the Major Gifts team, with input from the Director of Prospect Research and Portfolio Management (DPRPM). Collaborate with Major Gifts stakeholders to track and strategize around donor engagement, outreach, projections and money in, and meeting financial and visit goals.
Provide reports and visualizations to the team to show individual and overall portfolio landscapes and progress.
Manage, track, and execute portfolio clean up projects that result in portfolios which are aligned with team wide fundraising goals.
Use research tools to analyze individual wealth indicators, including gifts to others, salary, stock, real estate, and other assets, to determine overall financial capacity and interest in our work.
Produce coherent, well-written, thorough and accurate briefing documents summarizing research conclusions for LCV’s President, Executive staff, and the Major Gifts team prior to donor contact such as meetings and events.
Contribute to organizational and department efforts to infuse racial justice and equity into all aspects of our work, including our fundraising, data management and collection, and prospect research. Proactively identify ways to highlight the organization’s racial justice commitment to key internal stakeholders within the fundraising team.
Develop and maintain a familiarity with LCV’s existing top donors and prospective donors.
Manage updates to individual donor records, portfolios, and prospect assignments within the CRM database.
Work closely with the Development Data and Operations team to manage and execute the policies and procedures around prospect pipeline management and activity.
Participate in ongoing professional development activities to maintain and enhance skills and abilities and stay abreast of current prospect management trends and research techniques.
Travel up to 10% of the time for staff and department retreats, trainings, and conferences, as needed.

Qualifications:
Work Experience: Required – Must have at least 3 years of work experience in prospect research and portfolio management with a nonprofit or campaign. Strong experience with CRM software such as Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge, or DonorPerfect. Experience with online research tools such as LexisNexis, iWave, DonorSearch, ResearchPoint, FoundationSearch, or others. Familiarity with the basic tenets of fundraising. Experience working with Major Gift Officers and/or executive leaders. Preferred – CRM database administrator experience with a product, such as Salesforce. Experience with Salesforce reporting and/or advanced Excel including understanding of dependent formulas, pivot tables, and other complex spreadsheet functions. LCV is hiring an Associate Manager (AM) of Prospect Research & Portfolio Management who will enhance our individual and institutional major gifts fundraising program. The AM is responsible for managing the portfolio review process, tracking and sharing progress towards development goals, preparing donor research summaries and briefings, and ensuring accuracy of database records. The ideal candidate is a thoughtful collaborator who is driven by data, pays close attention to detail while managing multiple projects, and uplifts LCV’s organizational values and commitment to racial justice and equity.
Responsibilities :
Manage a quarterly portfolio review process for the Major Gifts team, with input from the Director of Prospect Research and Portfolio Management (DPRPM). Collaborate with Major Gifts stakeholders to track and strategize around donor engagement, outreach, projections and money in, and meeting financial and visit goals.
Provide reports and visualizations to the team to show individual and overall portfolio landscapes and progress.
Manage, track, and execute portfolio clean up projects that result in portfolios which are aligned with team wide fundraising goals.
Use research tools to analyze individual wealth indicators, including gifts to others, salary, stock, real estate, and other assets, to determine overall financial capacity and interest in our work.
Produce coherent, well-written, thorough and accurate briefing documents summarizing research conclusions for LCV’s President, Executive staff, and the Major Gifts team prior to donor contact such as meetings and events.
Contribute to organizational and department efforts to infuse racial justice and equity into all aspects of our work, including our fundraising, data management and collection, and prospect research. Proactively identify ways to highlight the organization’s racial justice commitment to key internal stakeholders within the fundraising team.
Develop and maintain a familiarity with LCV’s existing top donors and prospective donors.
Manage updates to individual donor records, portfolios, and prospect assignments within the CRM database.
Work closely with the Development Data and Operations team to manage and execute the policies and procedures around prospect pipeline management and activity.
Participate in ongoing professional development activities to maintain and enhance skills and abilities and stay abreast of current prospect management trends and research techniques.
Travel up to 10% of the time for staff and department retreats, trainings, and conferences, as needed.

Qualifications:
Work Experience: Required – Must have at least 3 years of work experience in prospect research and portfolio management with a nonprofit or campaign. Strong experience with CRM software such as Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge, or DonorPerfect. Experience with online research tools such as LexisNexis, iWave, DonorSearch, ResearchPoint, FoundationSearch, or others. Familiarity with the basic tenets of fundraising. Experience working with Major Gift Officers and/or executive leaders. Preferred – CRM database administrator experience with a product, such as Salesforce. Experience with Salesforce reporting and/or advanced Excel including understanding of dependent formulas, pivot tables, and other complex spreadsheet functions. Experience with project management software such as Wrike or Asana. Experience working with projections, budgets, and forecasting. Project Management experience.
Skills: Required – Must have strong attention to detail and organization skills. The ability to take in information from multiple sources, evaluate it, and summarize its significance. Ability to initiate, prioritize, and follow through on plans. Proficiency in Excel. Must be able to be flexible in shifting priorities based on urgent needs, and possess the confidence to ask for help when needed. Ability to follow ethical standards and utilize discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential information. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and successfully meet deadlines. Preferred – Ideal candidate has calculated curiosity and the discipline to find what they need, analyze it, and clearly communicate relevant conclusions. Ability to adapt to new online, project management, and information management tools. Strong writing skills.

This position is responsible for raising funds from individual and small foundation donors at four-, five-, and six-figure levels. Responsibilities include strategically identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors. The Director of Development Partnerships will cultivate and solicit donors on their own and support the work of key senior staff and board members in their respective regions. Qualified candidates will have significant experience with methods and approaches to major gifts fundraising that encourages philanthropic involvement among communities of color.
Responsibilities:
Manage and develop a portfolio of up to 120 current, lapsed and prospective donors across the region, deepening relationships in person or virtually, over the phone, and in writing.
Work with the Director of Prospect Research and Portfolio Management to expand the Major Gifts portfolio of prospective donors to include more people of color; broaden our current methods of identifying, cultivating and soliciting such donors.
Educate our current and prospective donors about the racial justice and equity work that is central and core to all the work we do at LCV to confront the inextricably linked climate and democracy crises.
Hold at least 85 visits annually with donors and prospects in the region, renewing and upgrading gifts from current donors and soliciting gifts from new donors. Varying degrees of coordination and collaboration with state affiliates in the region is required. To that end, the Director must be oriented toward and motivated by nurturing and growing these relationships.

LCV is hiring a Vice President of Membership & Direct Response Fundraising who will lead, design and direct the organization’s efforts to significantly expand, engage, and diversify our base of grassroots funders and activists. The Vice President of Membership & Direct Response Fundraising is responsible for evaluating all facets of our current program, proposing and executing plans for its expansion and the management, development and growth of the grassroots file and budget across all channels.

Responsibilities:
Manage a team of three existing direct response staff and several direct response and digital partners while identifying gaps and opportunities for expansion and growth.
Collaborate across the fundraising leadership team to ensure we are implementing strategies that retain and move activists and grassroots donors and members up the fundraising ladder.
Lead the development of the strategies, structure, and operating systems to achieve short- and long-term direct response fundraising and advocacy program goals at LCV.
Design and consistently improve the member experience, ensuring strong donor acknowledgement, engagement, and recognition processes and activities that ultimately moves them into personal relationship-based development efforts.
Ensure that LCV’s brand and overall marketing and communications strategy is used consistently and includes a racial justice and equity lens.
Develop a significantly more racially and generationally diverse membership base. Create a strategic and coordinated fundraising plan and schedule, centered on racial justice and equity, for both online and offline communications.
Through careful analytics and reporting, ensure the program maximizes revenue and return on investment.
Lead the growth marketing strategy and execution of a well-established, but constantly evolving monthly giving program, ensuring the program’s budgetary goals are accurately established and met.
Work with LCV program, development and communications managers to develop, coordinate and lead the engagement of LCV members in advocacy.
Serve as the primary lead on the direct marketing program’s budgeting process, monitoring program revenue and expenses, analyzing and interpreting program results to consistently innovate and improve performance.
Improve segmentation and messaging to create a personal and positive experience for donors and activists through email, informed by analytics (e.g., predictive modeling, social media data mining).
Support preparation of annual revenue and expense targets and manage spending to stay within budget.
Travel up to 10% for staff retreats, trainings and conferences, as needed.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Work Experience: Required – Minimum of ten years experience in direct marketing including direct mail, telemarketing and digital (paid media and email). Experience leading strategy and execution of a mid-large scale, multi-channel, direct response fundraising operation. Proven experience participating in a collaborative, cross-functional fundraising leadership team. Must have demonstrated supervisory experience successfully managing and growing high performing teams. Experience leading overall strategy of as well as day-to-day implementation of a complex direct marketing program. Experience utilizing analytics and data to drive strategies, data segmentation and reporting to leverage and maximize growth including upgrades and lapsed strategies. Preferred – Issue advocacy and/or electoral campaign experience. Experience working with a national organization who has state affiliates or chapters.

Create and manage systems for ensuring consistent and on-brand communications across all direct-service sites

Ensure the Communications team is creating engaging and impactful content for various platforms and collaborate with other departments to gather content and success stories

Support the Learning & Innovation team by developing and refining technical assistance and FamilyU materials for marketing and programmatic use
Work with the Policy & Research team to respond quickly to legislative shifts that could impact student parents and families by assisting with drafting official statements, talking points, briefs, op-eds, etc., and by pursuing relevant media opportunities
Collaborate with the Operations team to position Generation Hope as a nationally-celebrated workplace
Play a key role in rolling out Generation Hope research and reports and lead efforts to disseminate findings, including through website downloads
With the Communications Manager and Communications Coordinator, review talking points, remarks, presentations, and other supporting material for Generation Hope CEO and staff, as needed
Oversee processes to effectively capture programming and impact by engaging photographers, videographers, and other vendors, as necessary
Provide hands-on crisis communications support and counsel across Generation Hope, as needed
Management
Oversee the Communications team, directly supervising the Communications Manager and supporting their supervision of the Digital Marketing Specialist, the Communications Coordinator, and other team members as we continue to grow the team. Provide ongoing coaching and development and promote a culture of high performance, accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
Oversee the creation of timelines for all communications projects and establish accountability systems for the completion of major tasks
Work closely with our Development team to ensure strong partnership with funders and supporters. Act as an effective steward of program-restricted resources by managing and monitoring the Communications budget.

Lead the assessment of current internal and external communications and media practices, systems, and processes and the design and execution of new practices, systems, and processes. Develop and track communications performance metrics on a quarterly basis.
Develop and manage an organizational crisis communications plan to ensure best practices in brand protection and management.
Create and manage systems for ensuring consistent and on-brand communications across all direct-service sites
Evaluate the organization’s current website assets and needs and lead a website redevelopment project to guide the organization’s future online presence

Ensure the Communications team is creating engaging and impactful content for various platforms and collaborate with other departments to gather content and success stories
Work with PR firm to deploy consistent, timely, and strategic press and media relations efforts that are aligned with the annual communications plan and build long-term relationships with key press (emphasizing economic mobility, higher ed, family, student parents, early childhood, race equity, advocacy)
In partnership with our public relations firm, develop press kits, timelines, and fact sheets for internal and external stakeholders
Ensure the organization's website is up to date with fresh content, reflecting the latest initiatives and developments. Optimize website content for search engine visibility and user experience.
Collaborate with the Development team to create compelling campaigns and donor communication materials, including the annual report, to convey the impact of donations and appreciate supporters
Partner with the Programming team to amplify student parent voices and share strengths-based stories about their persistence and success through digital and print media and support recruitment efforts
Support the Learning & Innovation team by developing and refining technical assistance and FamilyU materials for marketing and programmatic use
Work with the Policy & Research team to respond quickly to legislative shifts that could impact student parents and families by assisting with drafting official statements, talking points, briefs, op-eds, etc., and by pursuing relevant media opportunities
Collaborate with the Operations team to position Generation Hope as a nationally-celebrated workplace
Play a key role in rolling out Generation Hope research and reports and lead efforts to disseminate findings, including through website downloads
With the Communications Manager and Communications Coordinator, review talking points, remarks, presentations, and other supporting material for Generation Hope CEO and staff, as needed
Oversee processes to effectively capture programming and impact by engaging photographers, videographers, and other vendors, as necessary
Provide hands-on crisis communications support and counsel across Generation Hope, as needed
Management
Oversee the Communications team, directly supervising the Communications Manager and supporting their supervision of the Digital Marketing Specialist, the Communications Coordinator, and other team members as we continue to grow the team. Provide ongoing coaching and development and promote a culture of high performance, accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
Oversee the creation of timelines for all communications projects and establish accountability systems for the completion of major tasks
Work closely with our Development team to ensure strong partnership with funders and supporters. Act as an effective steward of program-restricted resources by managing and monitoring the Communications budget.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

Lead the Energy and Environment department’s strategy, development, and execution of public-facing communications and campaigns to achieve ambitious climate, clean energy, and conservation policy.
Develop strategies to drive a narrative around the successful implementation of the Inflation Reduction Act and its climate investments; advocate for continued regulatory action to ensure the United States meets its climate goals; and advocate for well-paying union jobs in the clean energy economy and environmental justice sphere.
Collaborate on strategic planning and implementation with the Senior Vice President and other team leads for the Energy and Environment department, as well as the organization’s Communications and Advocacy and Outreach departments.
Coordinate the day-to-day management of the Energy and Environment Campaigns team by overseeing team members’ work planning and professional development; managing the team’s budget and general administration, including tracking team products and progress toward goals; and assisting with grant reports.
Effectively leverage communications, campaigns, and digital advocacy tactics in pursuit of political and legislative goals, including by drafting and/or maintaining editorial oversight of messaging guidance, internal talking points, op-eds, videos, events, digital media, and press statements.
Follow local, state, and national political and policy conversations and make strategic recommendations for American Progress’ engagement. Set and execute rapid-response research priorities in response to breaking news and significant moments surrounding climate action, clean energy, union jobs, environmental justice, and fossil fuel accountability.
Liaise with American Progress’ senior management and other American Progress teams—in particular the Communications, Digital Strategy and Digital Advocacy teams—to ensure that climate, clean energy, and conservation priorities are reflected in American Progress’ public-facing communications and ideas.
Drive American Progress’ engagement with diverse coalitions, including the Climate Action Campaign, the Equitable and Just National Climate Platform, and more—maintaining strong and trusted relationships with key partners while achieving demonstrable progress toward Energy and Environment department priorities.
Represent the Energy and Environment department to the press, policymakers, academics, and other outside stakeholders, including through establishing and maintaining relationships with staff on the Hill and in the administration.

Requirements and qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
At least 8 to 10 years of political, government, and/or nonprofit experience in climate policy and Campaign experience is a plus.
Staff management and leadership experience as well as a strong commitment to developing staff and creating a trusted, open, and supportive workplace culture.
Demonstrated excellence in political strategy, strategic communications, and advocacy.
Ability to multitask and prioritize.
Exceptional project management experience and the ability to manage quick-turnaround deliverables, as well as long-term strategy implementation, reporting, and metric tracking.
Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work well on a team that handles rapid-response communications.
