A Senior Financial Analyst in Finance supporting Biomedical Logistics / Supply Chain Operations. Duties include budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, monthly financial reporting and advanced accounting / financial analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Aid success of business clients by providing timely and sound financial guidance and assistance.
  • Significantly contribute to month end accounting close activities.
  • Provide monthly budget to actual performance reports.  
  • Analyze accounting / financial data and present clear [oral and written] summary of findings to supervisor and business clients.
  • Assist clients with understanding financial processes and procedures.   
  • Guide clients in carrying out the annual budget process.  
  • Create and use spreadsheets for intermediate / advanced financial analysis.  
  • Use sources of financial and operating data to analyze and report effectively.  
  • Support the development, implementation and maintenance of financial policies / procedures and systems that result in both operating efficiency and proper accounting. 
  • Provide general business support as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 4 year college degree in accounting, finance, business administration or equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA desirable
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in areas of finance planning & analysis including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and month-end close and accruals
  • Highly proficient in Excel skills including but not limited to:  pivot tables, conditional formatting, Vlookups, filters and charts.
  • Proficient in Power Point and other Microsoft Office products (such as Teams).
  • Experience in using large scale financial systems preferred.  For example, creating, designing and building queries / reports in Hyperion and trouble-shooting / resolving issues
  • Initiative and independence in accomplishing tasks
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with attention to details
  • A collaborative spirit and enjoys working in a team environment
  • A sense of urgency and the ability to meet daily and concurrent deadlines
  • Flexibility and ability to prioritize well

For those candidates located in Colorado and Connecticut, the salary range for this position is: $80,000 - $90,000
