The Development Manager serves as an integral member of a community-based fundraising team for Susan G. Komen. This position will play a key role in the implementation of a year-round fundraising program. The Development Manager will assist in reaching the local market revenue goals.
The key fundraising program and focus of the Development Manager will be the MORE THAN PINK Walk/Race for the Cure: the signature events for Susan G. Komen. This will include recruitment, retention and cultivation of corporate teams, top fundraisers, survivors / those living with metastatic disease, as well as executing the logistics of the event. Develop a deep understanding of early literacy initiatives and organizations in the community. Attend events and actively participate in community groups as appropriate to effectively promote RAR-MA.
Program Monitoring and Reporting: Utilize Salesforce to document program activities in an accurate and timely manner throughout the year to track progress towards annual, regional, and organizational goals. Collect family and partner stories to demonstrate program impact as needed. Provide input into annual program budget development and manage program expenses at a portfolio level. Respond to additional data or informational requests to support grant writing and reporting, funder inquiries, or communications and development initiatives.

As the Executive Assistant, you will facilitate the operations of the HAC Secretariat by providing administrative support to the Secretariat Director. Working in close coordination with the Director, you will help prepare travel, event, and meeting materials. Total Rewards (compensation and benefits) This is a full-time position. We offer a competitive and holistic total rewards package that includes salary, bonus, and benefits. Our compensation ranges are based on salary ranges for similar sized organizations in the professional services sector and adjusted for local labor market rates and differentiated by geography.
Durham range: $75,000 - $93,000
DC range: $85,000 - $105,000

On a typical day, you'll:
Consult with customers on health-related products and services to provide the best solutions for their health and financial well-being
Assist Medicare-eligible individuals in selecting the products and services that best meets their needs
Answer questions related to coverage and annual changes on healthcare plans, pharmacy networks and drug formularies
Aid customers with the enrollment process
Qualify customers to join community meetings and schedule in-home appointments
