Job Description

Basic Function

Oversees operational and technical management and oversight of all Intercollegiate Athletic video/audio technology.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Sets-up, operates and maintains complex video board, scoreboard, and associated control units in all athletic department venues.
  • Sets-up, operates and maintains complex audio sound equipment and systems.
  • Operates and maintains multiple types of equipment and software such as audio systems, video technology, computer displays, video recording/playback equipment and systems.
  • Oversees and coordinates inventory/record keeping processes/procedures and distribution and troubleshooting of athletic department computers.
  • Makes high-level system evaluations and advanced calibrations/modifications.
  • Supervises and directs external technicians (e.g., Daktronics, ANC, DVSport, etc.) during site visits, pre-season evaluations and all maintenance repair activities.
  • Supervises and provides guidance to audio-visual personnel on technical and operational issues.
  • Maintains knowledge of and adheres to all applicable University, conference and NCAA rules and regulations.
  • Assists with other duties/projects as assigned/directed.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors
  • Experience: Three years’ experience in a comparable audio video position
  • Valid Drivers license with a motor vehicle record compliant with University policies
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and some holidays

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Demonstrated ability to make independent, sound decisions
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and computer skills.
  • Demonstrated communication skills.
  • Supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with a variety of diverse individuals, groups and organizations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge or ability to learn Mountain West and NCAA rules and regulations.
