Basic Function
Oversees operational and technical management and oversight of all Intercollegiate Athletic video/audio technology.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Sets-up, operates and maintains complex video board, scoreboard, and associated control units in all athletic department venues.
- Sets-up, operates and maintains complex audio sound equipment and systems.
- Operates and maintains multiple types of equipment and software such as audio systems, video technology, computer displays, video recording/playback equipment and systems.
- Oversees and coordinates inventory/record keeping processes/procedures and distribution and troubleshooting of athletic department computers.
- Makes high-level system evaluations and advanced calibrations/modifications.
- Supervises and directs external technicians (e.g., Daktronics, ANC, DVSport, etc.) during site visits, pre-season evaluations and all maintenance repair activities.
- Supervises and provides guidance to audio-visual personnel on technical and operational issues.
- Maintains knowledge of and adheres to all applicable University, conference and NCAA rules and regulations.
- Assists with other duties/projects as assigned/directed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors
- Experience: Three years’ experience in a comparable audio video position
- Valid Drivers license with a motor vehicle record compliant with University policies
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and some holidays
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to make independent, sound decisions
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and computer skills.
- Demonstrated communication skills.
- Supervisory experience
- Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with a variety of diverse individuals, groups and organizations.
- Demonstrated knowledge or ability to learn Mountain West and NCAA rules and regulations.
