DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: I. JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1) Reporting to the associate director, the assistant director oversees the activities of the administrative section and is responsible for working closely with the division’s senior leadership team. Provides leadership and support to section chiefs in managing section resources to address the ongoing needs of the division and to assure high-quality completion of section responsibilities and critical work demands. Areas of focus include administration and program management; budget and resource management; communications and employee engagement; and coordination of diversity and inclusion efforts. 2) Oversees division-level initiatives and programs related to human capital, financial management, performance management, logistics, and overall organizational efficiency and effectiveness. Manages the communication, coordination, and prioritization of those programs to support and inform division staff. Works closely with other divisions in considering practices and policies that effect similar jobs within the economics community or across the Board. 3) Provides leadership, guidance, and direction to a team of professionals in the administration section. This section provides strategic and routine support in the areas of human capital, financial management, procurement, project and program management, performance review and reporting, communications, and other general administrative support. 4) Works closely with the senior leadership team, other officers, and other divisions to guide strategies and initiatives to enhance diversity and inclusion, talent development, employee engagement, performance management and compensation, and other aspects of organizational culture and values. 5) Supports the division’s senior officers by providing information and analysis on administrative topics and policy interpretation and by contributing to the strategic direction of the division and the achievement of its objectives and priorities. Provides intellectual leadership on all operational issues and division management programs. 6) Partners with the senior leadership team and the deputy associate director for technology and data to ensure alignment, integration and communication of initiatives and programs, as needed, to support the needs and responsibilities of the division’s research, analytic, operational, and technical communities. 7) Engage in enterprise-level activities in the areas of expertise, representing the division’s business needs in the formation of Board policies, programs, and strategic discussions. Build strong working relationships with colleagues in the division and in partner divisions at the Board. Represent the division, the Board, or the System, on committees or in meetings with other divisions, the Reserve Banks, other agencies, professional conferences, or other outside groups. II. Much of the work of FS is conducted by teams of staff from other divisions and reserve banks. As a result, it is critical for officers in FS to promote close and effective working relationships among staff working together as a team. As an officer in the FS division, the individual will: support the division’s diversity, equity, and inclusion objectives and focus on maximizing the contribution, development, and accountability of all staff in the division; facilitate the strongest contributions of others by distributing authority, responsibility, and decision-making widely, providing feedback, and encouraging initiative and creativity; create a work environment in which it is safe to speak, and everyone’s voice is heard, and in which every employee is being valued, without bias, preference, or prejudice; ensure that the staff’s work is aligned with our principals, priorities and the division’s strategic objectives, including those related to diversity, equity and inclusion; explain to staff how their work fits into the bigger picture. KNOWLEDGE/SKILL/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: 1) Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in communications, economics, finance, business management, public administration, human resources, organizational leadership and development, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred. 2) Substantial knowledge of policies, procedures, and processes in the areas of human resources, administration, and financial management. This is an exempt management service (EMS) Band 4 position that reports to the Director of Ecology. The position is located at Ecology’s Headquarters Office in Lacey, Washington .
This position is critical to Ecology’s success and is focused on establishing and maintaining positive, effective relationships with key members of Ecology’s authorizing environment. In this role, you will direct agency-wide external relations and public affairs. These include the State Legislature, legislative staff, Governor’s office, state and federal agencies, local governments, tribal governments, and Washington’s Congressional delegation. You will also direct agency strategy and public affairs for a variety of non-governmental organizations, including business, environmental, media, agriculture, ports, utilities, community groups and other interests. Duties
Director of Government Relations – Primary Responsibilities
Agency lead for tracking, monitoring, testifying, and negotiating 400-500 bills per session. Testimony may be in person or using virtual forums. Many of these bills deal with issues that the Governor has placed on his top priority list, such as climate change, environmental justice, and salmon restoration. The bills related to environmental issues tend to be some of the most controversial and hard-fought bills of any given session and impact budget priorities and budget negotiations.
Conducting activities during the interim (between legislative sessions), including legislative and Governor task forces, public workshops and hearings, rule development, and one-on-one in-district in-person negotiation with legislative leadership and key committee chairs, and working with legislators/Governor’s office to address constituent issues.
Developing and facilitating and supporting passage of all agency request legislation.
Advising the Governor, Chief of Staff, and the Governor’s legislative director on bills and policies pertaining to environmental and natural resources issues.
Representing the agency on the Governor’s Natural Resources Legislative Policy Group, the Governor’s Cabinet Agency Legislative Director’s Group, and other Governor’s Office meetings pertaining or relating to the agency’s environmental work.

Director of the Information Technology Services Office (ITSO) The Chief Information Officer is responsible for 110+ full-time employees and has six (6) direct reports, the highest of which are Senior IT Managers overseeing business services, architecture design, infrastructure, operations, and project management and planning. The Northern Rockies, Prairies & Pacific Region spans a large and diverse geographic landscape across the states of Alaska, Hawai’i, Oregon, Washington and California in the Pacific; Montana and Idaho in the Rockies; and North and South Dakota in the Great Plains. Our work is based out of two primary offices, in Missoula and Seattle, and a smaller office near Portland, Oregon.

Principal Duties of the Regional Executive Director:
The RED is accountable for developing and implementing programs and strategies that enable the National Wildlife Federation to achieve outcomes articulated in our Strategic and Equity and Justice Plans and serves as an important “face and voice” for the organization in the Northern Rockies, Prairies & Pacific Region.

Principal Duties of the Regional Executive Director:
The RED is accountable for developing and implementing programs and strategies that enable the National Wildlife Federation to achieve outcomes articulated in our Strategic and Equity and Justice Plans and serves as an important “face and voice” for the organization in the Northern Rockies, Prairies & Pacific Region.

The Director of the Office of the President is a key partner to the President and CEO, focusing time on the highest priority strategic initiatives to advance of the Federation’s mission. This position provides executive support and manages the day-to-day operations of the Office of the President (OP). The Director of the Office of the President is a key partner to the President and CEO, focusing time on the highest priority strategic initiatives to advance of the Federation’s mission. This position provides executive support and manages the day-to-day operations of the Office of the President (OP). Lead Operations: Responsible for the day-to-day operations, work flow and quality control of the Office of the President, including supervision of and close coordination with the Executive Assistant. Oversees the President and CEO’s calendar and travel planning, the preparation of meeting materials and briefings, the timely completion and submission of expense reports and relationship management inputs, and the completion of various signature requests. Supports the organization’s Executive steering committee.
