Position Title : Development Director
Location: Washington, DC
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
We are seeking an energetic and highly organized Development Director to implement our development plan. This is a key role in helping to grow the organization. The successful candidate will be analytical and creative, collaborate well with a passionate and fun staff, and coordinate and manage multiple projects. The Development Director will play a key role in the leadership of the organization as part of the organization’s Executive Team.

Essential Functions: Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Development Director (DD) will provide strategic leadership for the planning, implementation, evaluation, integration, and administration development department. The DD will lead a team of development professionals in achieving the organization’s revenue goals, increasing income, and educating and engaging more individuals and institutions in the to advance the organization’s mission. The DD will be part of a skilled team of professionals working to raise at least $5 million annually. The DD manages a multi-faceted fundraising program; central to this role will be prioritizing personal solicitation of major donors, events, online and direct marketing, and foundation fundraising.
Duties:
Work closely with the Development Team to establish fundraising goals, set strategic priorities, advise on program development, and develop and meet annual budget
Manage and build a growing team of development professionals, provide on-going guidance, direction, and motivation, hire team members and provide oversight to consultants as needed, delegate appropriately and ensure strong internal communication and coordination, and evaluate performance and provide opportunities for personal and professional growth
Work closely with the Boards of Directors to engage them more deeply in the fundraising process and to help cultivate a strong relationship between board members and the organization
Help track cultivation and prospecting activity and ensure the execution of action items
Solicit contributions from major individual donors and steward long-term relationships with donors
Develop relationships with prospective individual and foundation donors to increase funding
Research prospective institutional and individual funders
Work with internal partners to draft and edit proposals and reports
Track proposal and reporting deadlines, ensure that all submitted materials are accurate and comply with any funder requirements
Manage all grant activity in a central database and deliver regular reports to the Executive Director
Serve as the point person for management and maintenance of funders database and ensure efficient system utilization across all units
Oversee the implementation of ongoing programs to improve the renewal rates of existing annual donors, creatively use events to upgrade donors and maintain a diversity of revenue
Work with the VP of Operations to develop annual budgets and income projections
Stay abreast of political and philanthropic trends and ensure that Board and staff are informed of changes in legislation and other trends and initiatives that might impact giving
Competencies:
Experience in fundraising and achieving corporate s;ponsorships
Extensive knowledge of fundraising strategies and principles
Excellent management and supervisory skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Expertise in conducting research for potential donors
Skills in conducting analysis and industry trends
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree plus 7+ years fundraising experience
Proven success in securing foundation and individual donor support
Experience managing a team, including experience in creating and managing successful major gifts programs
A clear understanding of 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) nonprofit legal issues/structures.
Well-developed writing, interpersonal and organizational skills and experience managing staff
Commitment to organization’s mission and understanding of current policy issues and political landscape
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with, and quickly gain the respect and support of, various constituencies, including a visible chief executive committed to raising money, established development management team, active board members, other senior leadership, program directors and donors.
Experience as an effective communicator who is articulate and persuasive in both the spoken and written word; must be adept at crafting materials and making presentations to a variety of audiences
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment: This job operates in a typical office setting. This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a permanent full-time position. This position regularly requires long hours and frequent weekend work.
Travel Requirements: This position has frequent travel throughout the United States and Puerto Rico.
Salary Range: $85,000-$100,000/year
Commensurate according to years of experience. All employees must meet a 6-month probationary period. Continuation of this position after one year is dependent on the successful candidate meeting jointly determined performance goals.

The Department of Community Justice (DCJ) is recognized as a national leader in both adult and juvenile community justice. DCJ routinely consults and makes use of evidence-based practices in our program and policy development. DCJ operates 24 hours a day, with nearly 650 regular, on-call, and temporary employees. The Department supervises justice-involved individuals and those defendants requiring pretrial services. DCJ's Juvenile Services Division operates the Donald E. Long Juvenile Detention Facility and is responsible for youth on formal and informal community supervision.

Minimum Qualifications/Transferable Skills*:
Associates Degree or equivalent experience in Social Science, Criminal Justice, or Health Services, or related field; AND
At least one year experience in community outreach services providing health information, mental health information, advocacy, social support and assistance in using the health care system to individuals, groups and families.
Must pass a thorough background investigation which includes, but is not limited to, a review of applicant’s criminal, civil, driving, military, educational and employment history prior to employment.
Must have a valid driver license.
Licenses/Certificates:
Candidates must be able to become LEDS certified within 3 months of hire;
CPR certification is required within 6 months of hire.

The communications senior coordinator will support CRCL’s communication and public relations activities. The communications senior coordinator will play a central role in planning and hosting the 2025 State of the Coast conference, the largest gathering of its kind in Louisiana. Secondarily, as a member of the communications team, the coordinator will help create content for and manage the organization’s website and social media; contribute to marketing and development campaigns; help generate digital and print products, including newsletters; and track and analyze data to inform communication activities. The coordinator will also be a member of the communications team of Restore the Mississippi River Delta, a five-organization campaign that includes CRCL. Job Summary
The Department Information Systems Coordinator (DISC) provides technical assistance and support to the Sheriff’s Office, Jail Services, and other local law enforcement agencies in planning, developing, and operating a regional law enforcement information network. This position will work directly within Clark County Information Technology (IT) and collaborate with Clark County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) management, with key responsibilities of overseeing database and application technologies used in reporting; optimizing systems for information analysis; and coordinating related enforcement activities among multiple agencies. These responsibilities necessitate both a thorough understanding of the department processes and workflow, and comprehensive knowledge of the capabilities of the available computer software and programs as well as various niche technology products specific to law enforcement. Duties typically include, but are not limited to: Assist in the installation, administration, and support of various CCSO, Jail Services, and vendor-based hardware and software systems/applications. • Participate in evaluating, recommending, and selecting application and/or hardware products needed to support the Sheriff’s Office or partner agencies. • Assist users on day-to-day computer related issues such as setting changes, printer issues, burn CDs/DVDs, file recovery, and general application use. • Provide initial or secondary troubleshooting on system/server failure and coordinate with County IT to determine the appropriate fixes. Assists in break fix where applicable or in County IT absence. • Assist in the development, maintenance, and troubleshooting of data transfer process between CCSO systems, County IT, and vendors. • Assist in the design and development of department level relational database (e.g. SQL database) and database objects to support in-house developed applications. (I.E. – Win-Pak) • Assist in coordinating database support functions for law enforcement systems including security administration, performance tuning, and data moves. • Perform system administration for reporting systems (e.g. SQL Reporting Service) including security administration, setup, bug fixes, and deployment. • Convert and migrate data from existing systems to new systems and provide on-going system maintenance for client. • Develop ad-hoc query, data extraction, and other reports to meet the department and external agencies objectives. (I.E. – SSRS reports) • Analyze data and create reports (I.E. – SSRS or other required formats for presentations) as needed for customers. • Monitor and track inventory of law enforcement hardware and software including laptops, projectors, etc. • Assist in the development of short-term and long-term strategic planning for the law enforcement IS support unit. • Research, suggest, design, validate, and deploy new law enforcement and mobile related technology. (I.E. – Apple iOS phones and iPads, Android phones, body cameras) • Assist in Bodycam support related to hardware and supporting applications. • Utilize MobileIron MDM solution to support the management of Apple iOS and Android phones. • Assist outside agencies on items and issues related to law enforcement records management systems. Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Education equivalent to an associate degree in computer science or closely related field (directly related work experience may substitute for the degree requirement) plus three to five years of responsible experience in supporting computer technology users and systems is required. The degree must have been conferred by an institution of higher education and have National Recognition of Accrediting Agencies by the U.S. Secretary of Education, and official transcripts will be required at the time of hire.

In this position, you will provide administrative support to the System of Care (SOC) staff and Systems of Care Advisory Council (SOCAC) by planning, scheduling, and coordinating SOCAC’s meetings and subcommittee meetings, managing membership lists, processing invoices for stipends, managing timelines for deliverables and reports, and ensuring meeting notes and notices are posted as required by public meeting laws. The council has 25 members that range from youth and family members to child serving agency heads and other professionals from community organizations. The long-range plan and work of the council needs administrative support to ensure the Council’s members and partners contribute contents and submit reviews in time to meet legislatively mandated timelines.
In this position you will be responsible for supporting the SOCAC staff with calendar management, membership communications through meeting minutes and notices, ensuring compliance with supporting legislation, and supporting the timely completion of tasks and deliverables from Council collaborators and members. This role will work closely with both the council, the SOCAC Executive Director, and other council staff to support the council, subcommittees, and workgroup by supporting workflow improvements, coordinating efficient flow of documents and requests requiring action from collaborators and council members, tracking due dates and assisting with timely responses to requests, ensuring timely payment of stipends and other reimbursements for eligible council members and taskforce members, ensuring SOCAC has the necessary forms and procedures to complete our work and ensure effective flow of information, and providing excellent customer service.
