Tina CMS is a tool kit focused on the JAMstack and Tina Cloud is a next-generation content management system with open-core content management solutions with a GraphQL API backed by Git. Role Summary  We are looking for a Technical Support and Data Analyst who, preferably, has a basic/introductory understanding of web development (HTML/CSS, Git/GitHub, JAMstack, general troubleshooting. In this hybrid role, you will balance your time between these two areas, each taking priority as needed. You will provide a unique bridge of insight between customers, data, and the team. You not only provide the numbers, but also the context. You also fix bugs, help the team in larger projects, while connecting with users in a support capacity. You see the bigger picture while working in the details and share that view with the whole team.  This is a temporary role, projected to last 12-16 months. You will be filling in during a parental leave period, but will overlap and be trained by the person holding this role currently to get up to speed quickly.   What You’ll Do Metrics and Analytics Track and report on product usage metrics to gain a deeper understanding on how the users are interacting with the product and guide informed product decisions Track and report on marketing analytics Work with team to iterate on the strategy around what metrics we need to be collecting and analyzing  Monitor the data to identify patterns, glean insights, and develop user stories based on data Work alongside the Product Manager to help guide product decisions by providing supporting analytics data Amplify the data within the company so they know what the users are thinking  Connect the dots to user pain points and how to address them Support Provide a holistic approach to supporting Forestry.io users in their support needs Troubleshoot issues with our customers by testing out their JAMstack sites  Answer user questions and help them navigate building their sites Provide education to users around the product when needed Dig into user base to understand what they will want/need in their transition to Tina  Identify support patterns and develop documentation or fixes to ensure issues don’t persist Work with other members of the support team as needed Skills and Experience Experience in analytics, defining key metrics, and executing experiments that drive strategy Experience building metric frameworks that lead to deeper understanding of user behavior Understanding of web development including HTML/CSS, Git/GitHub, and the JAMstack Previous experience with, or ability to learn Google Analytics, Segment, MixPanel and HubSpot

Role  We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join Forestry and work cross-functionally with our two engineering teams to own the effectiveness, happiness, and the output of the engineering department. You will lead people, projects, and process for these teams. You are an experienced engineering manager who is passionate about working with team members in their day-to-day activities as well as having a deep understanding for the long term vision for the company and your team members’ careers. You are able to inspire your team to deliver their best. We are looking for someone who is excited to make a difference, someone who has had success in managing large or small teams in the past, and someone who is ready to take the next step in their career.  What You’ll Do Own engineering execution and happiness Lead our engineering teams to deliver high quality projects on time  Partner with our Product Manager and Technical Leads to develop timelines based on product roadmap Break down and sequence projects, communicate progress and risks, and celebrate accomplishments with your teams Run engineering’s weekly meetings Continually improve the way our teams work together: the way we communicate, problem-solve, and coordinate our work Work to reduce cycle time and streamline processes to ensure that we are executing optimally  Ensure inter-and cross-team alignment  Establish and ensure that your teams are following good software development practice Manage nine engineers with diverse skill sets at various stages in their careers Run 1:1 meetings with all your team members to  Set expectations, objectives, and performance goals and hold people accountable Provide feedback and support when challenges arise Ensure we are providing an environment to foster career growth Participate in the hiring and onboarding process for engineering Ensure the development and maintenance of process and technical documentation  Skills and Experience Experience creating, implementing, and improving processes for software teams A strong technical background with 3+ years of software experience  Experience managing and coaching a team of engineers Highly organized with strong project management skills  Ability to take high level direction and translate it into projects and tasks for your team Ability to support your team’s daily work, identify issues, and help formulate solutions  Comfort with expressing concerns, disagreements, or counter-points of view for the good of the product development  Strong facilitation and communication skills Passionate about helping your team develop the skills they need to reach their career goals What success looks like In the first 30 days you will: Become deeply familiar with the product and the team’s technical work and processes Take over the planning of each team's development cycles with the assistance of the Project Manager and Team Leads Complete your first 1:1s with each team member and begin to get to know each person, their skills, their weaknesses, and their career goals Identify improvements to the team’s processes In the first 90 days you will: Create an improvement plan that optimizes for higher impact and quicker delivery from your teams after review existing engineering processes Reduce cycle time and increase on-time delivery of features Identify talent or process gaps and work with leadership to solve for those items you have identified Have  more unified and aligned teams Develop high-level date estimates for the product roadmap  Improve team performance of and quality of their deliverables Encourage career growth and skill development   Benefits  At Forestry, we offer the benefits that best support our team. The Role: We're looking for a Senior (or Staff-level) Back-end Software Engineer to help us build Tina Cloud. We believe  Tina  will be a game-changer for content management on the web, and you'll be instrumental in architecting and evolving the system to meet the needs of our users. You are empathetic, thoughtful and a true team player, collaborating easily with your colleagues across the org. Architect and build the APIs that power the developers using Tina. Help establish high technical standards for the team. Provide technical mentorship to other engineers on the team. Who You Are: You have 8+ years of software development experience, and have built and scaled multiple production back-end systems before. You have deep experience in either Go or Node.js. You have experience architecting systems on cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) and have strong knowledge of security, serverless and NoSQL. You’re excellent at weighing the short and long-term tradeoffs of complex technical decisions. You’re an excellent communicator and collaborator, driving technical decisions in a collaborative environment. You enjoy digging deep and solving tough problems with code, as you’ll be building abstractions, refactoring and troubleshooting regularly. You enjoy the autonomy, entrepreneurialism and bias for execution found in a technology startup. Nice-To-Haves: You’ve worked on building APIs or libraries for other developers and understand the importance of a great DX. You have experience building content management systems.
